During Bethesda's E3 conference this year, the Elder Scrolls publisher made a joke about the multitude of ports of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim that seem to get announced every year. This year, Bethesda released Skyrim on Alexa, which is hilarious, even if they did take the joke from us.
Since its release in 2011, Skyrim received a Legendary edition, a Special Edition for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, a VR version, a Switch port, and now the all-too-real Alexa port. Bethesda has a reputation for Skyrim re-releases and it is for the obvious reason: they sell well.
"Even now, the amount of people who play Skyrim seven years later; millions of people every month are playing that game," Howard told Geoff Keighley during an interview at Gamelab in Barcelona.
"That's why we keep releasing it," Howard added. "If you want us to stop releasing it, stop buying it."
