Along with making a whole game in Nier: Automata, Yoko Taro also created two novels which take place in the game's world. Announced for the West a couple months ago, the first of the novels, Long Story Short now has a full release date.
The novel, published by VIZ media, arrives October 9. This book is a novelization of the base game, but more readily delves into the details of its characters, fleshing out their motivations and adding a few new twists that further contextualize the story of the game.
The novel is up for pre-order now for $14.99. The other Nier novel, Short Story Long, which collects several short stories that take place within the world of Automata, will be out sometime next year.
