Here lies AWESOMGUY9956, a man fearless and striked with courage in his hands in the battlefield. He killed 45 men in a 60 player match and he was towards the top five people on the leaderboard on Ballroom Blitz. Although, the match was won with a major victory, he died to make that happen. His death was not in vane nor shall we forget how he died for us: By throwing a grenade at a... Wall? What?
Yeah, in games, a hero can seem great until you see them die a stupid death like that. I had a lot of funny deaths in my gaming life as well as a few I should look back and mock myself for. Hello and welcome to this Community Writing Challenge.

I bet some of you have played on a massive server in a game like Battlefield or something of that matter, so when you enter a building or a piece of cover, you try to be the stealthy one that can shoot someone and not be able to be shot, so you peak as little as you can to avoid getting shot and find each shot going through and hitting a target. You stay there and get cocky enough to kill as much people as you can in that one life. You have two deaths on the leaderboard and 55 kills to be counted, you feel like a god among weaklings and as soon as you see a crowd of people and think I can use my grenade! You ready your aim with your grenade to make sure it hits the that crowd. You throw and hits the wall that you've been hiding behind. Just a little F**k You to the player from the game's code.
I personally had that happen to me a lot of times since Grenades now have actual presence when you throw them, instead of the animation not having meaning besides having the grenade being thrown a foot away from you. I'm kind of glad they do this, because when I look back at that, I just see a guy camping for the kills instead of the team.

Another would have to be the few in Skyrim. Where should I start? I think I should go with the giants. I know this has been a gaming trope for now, but I just love this glitch too much. The game has giants in the game with big clubs ready to smash you with. You would think it would just stagger you, right? Well, it was suppose to do that and the death sequence was to launch you a few feet in the air to compliment the physics, but the game's code multiplied the damage and launch by 10 making you a member of Tamriel's first Astronaut Program! I don't know why, but when you first encounter this, it takes you by surprise. You would think it would just launch somewhere other than straight up. I still find it funny I played this game to death.
Plus, there is a glitch in the game that has one of their clubs in game that gives you the option to pick it up, but even if you try you can't. You can drag it across the floor, but you can't pick it up and use it. I remember the time when I saw that for the first time and I was legit angry. I was eager to be able to launch everyone in the game into space, screaming you're officially part of NASA. I was 12 okay!

I guess in Garry's Mod there are some funny or more strange deaths out there. I guess one experience I had recently was during Dark RP, one of the jobs were a Banana. I don't know why, it was something you can be. I chose a cop and when I entered spawn, there was a Banana killing anyone he sees while making obscured sounds doing so. He walked up to me while breathing in the mic and I almost freaked out. I told I would pay him with guns if he didn't kill me. He whispered Glock repeatedly. I said what and threw a cinderblock at me.
He continued to do this and, to the Admin, he wasn't doing anything wrong. The description of the Banana was a psychopathic criminal to roam the streets. We continued to play, trying to catch him, he kept throwing cinder blocks at us, watching each corpse fly across the screen as a cinderblock wielding Banana Man chased us. We tried to shoot at him, but he would take it. I think the admins there kept healing him as the cops died one by one, not knowing why this is happening. I had the most fun out of that though!
I hope you enjoyed this, it was fun to write and an interesting Community Writing Challenge. It sounded simple in my head, but took a while to fully grab the concept and write it. Took me about 3 attempts to write one. Again, I hope you enjoyed this Community Writing Challenge and 'til next time...
