5 Things Fans Are Wrong About

Everyone has been a fan of a game, I bet you are one too seeing that you're on this site full of gaming fans, and sometimes we can say something either positive or negative about something as a fan and be wrong about it. You can say this game was great when it started when there are game breaking bugs that happen more regularly than a Rattata while looking for a Muchop. These things happen a lot in fandoms and sometimes no one notices. Hello and welcome to this soon to be hated count down blog

5. The Movie Game Rule

Have you ever had a game that was a promotion to a movie? Well, many have seen this in the early days of gaming and there has been a well followed rule: if the movie was good, the game is bad. There are times where this is true, I mean look at X-Men Origins Wolverine! That movie sucked, but the game was a better God of War than... Well... God of War! But that was the past when games were more of new, from-the-heart kind of art form, now games advertising movies are more of an advertisement than a game to gain more profit from the movie. I mean, have you played Ben-Hur? Basically a game you would find on New Grounds that a kid made out of Unity. I know there is the Mad Max game, but that is more of a game of it's own and isn't apart of the movie's story, it's literally of its own realm.

4. Mortal Kombat has a Good Story

I remember browsing the MKX sub-reddit and found that a lot of people are saying the story of MK is good and is strange that a movie adaptation wasn't good. I have played Mortal Kombat for almost all my life and thought that the story was a cheesy mess full of bad dialogue and poor storytelling. I mean, even the new MKX follows that tradition of bad storytelling. I would have to say, the story is cheesy, but it's very charming which is why I love them so much. The movies produced have a reason for being so bad. The story is bad, the dialogue is awful and the characters did have some lame poses, so having a movie is roadkill. I think the only thing that was good about the game (besides the gameplay) is the characters uniqueness. I mean, I can get aside from the different shade of color on a ninja, but still they were all unique.

3. MGS has a Good Story

Saying Metal Gear Solid has a good story is like saying the guys behind Tron Legacy deserve an Oscar for their great work. I know many will hate me for saying that, but let's face it, Japan is weird about their stories and never really made sense. I mean, every problem in the game's plot is going to be solved with Nanomachines. Why is this guy so crazy? Nanomachines made him that way. Why is the president planning world domination? Because he wants everyone to be cured from hated and disease with Nanomachines.

If you try to defend the game's plot by talking about MGSV, please remember Quiet and that entire army of kids that gave you trouble beating because you couldn't kill them. Remember those as you try to debunk my statement.

2. Japan is the King of Games

Okay, name a game from Japan that is great and isn't Dark Souls, Street Fighter or from Nintendo. Name them. Hard isn't it? If you haven't noticed, the gaming industry in Japan is falling as we speak since the only great games out of the Japanese Nation is long running franchises and almost all of them are either ending or getting worse in quality. I mean, the great series that was Dark Souls in finishes, Street Fighter 5 was not what we wanted, MGS's fame has dwindled because F**k Konami and Nintendo is creating nothing but overused franchises. "What about Splatoon?" Well, I guess that's original. But still, the Japanese Gaming Industry's last hope is Nintendo at the moment, and other companies such as Capcom and SNK are trying their best to stay at the top due to games not reaching western audiences.

1. Pokemon Red was the Best of the Series

Yes, the game is what made the franchise and is what made children of the 90's love games, but when you look back on it after playing the newest Pokemon, you will find a broken mess. I know that this can be a bad thing for me to say since I am not a fan of the series, but seriously look back at the game. No, not the graphics, I truly love the artstyle it holds, but look at it in terms of gameplay. Yes, it's toned down a bit, but the game's code is so messed up that some moves in the game are not doing what they are intended or do something so game breaking, that makes the game more frustrating. To leave an example, freeze moves are suppose to stop the opponent, giving the player an extra move to attack, but the code in the program was mistaken to leave the opponent froze for the entire match until a fire pokemon was to thaw you out. Imagine, having your pokemon froze, not being able to switch them out or try to use an item to prolong the fight even longer, just sit there as you watch your best pokemon die as well as the rest in your deck.

I know that this is something not to hate on the series since the game has vastly improved since, but we all have to admit that we played the original with our young minds, blocking everything bad about it.

I know there are something that made you mad or just disagreenent with me, so tell me what you think. I mean, there are somethings I know I missed about what fans think wrongly of games, so tell me about that too. I hope you enjoyed this and 'til next time...
