Imagine Demons with fast fireballs, zombies with accurate aim and every enemy and demon carry extra damage boosts. Sounds hard, huh? I bet you're saying "I CAN DO THAT!! I CAN DO IT WITH MY EYES CLOSE!!" Well you better have the ammo since the ones you killed respawn. Yep! It is what's described as Dark Souls' older brother. It even tells you that this setting is not even fair! At least the devs warned you.
9. Ghouls and Ghosts

Oh, Ghouls and Ghosts! I played this when I was little. Man, I cried so many times playing it. As an arcade game that was made to eat all your quarters, this game marked, well not so much marked, but scarred our minds with the name itself! As the game went to consoles, everyone saw new graphics, but same difficulty. We always get the armor when we start, but always lose it after the 5th enemy that strolls by!
8. Strider

A team of five awesome developers and two programmers made the game what would make the every kid's childhood... And soon crush it! Yes, the infamous game that seemed like a Ninja Gaiden game, was one of the worst time consumers of the late 80's and early 90's of the NES age. Every boss and enemy faced by the player could stop him/her on his/her tracks on ever finishing the game. This is an example on why we finish games.
7. Castlevania

Although the game has been going downhill and any chance on another game is no longer on the table, the game's original entry still has it's moments and can strike even the oldest of players very hard. Just imagine how hard Ornstein and Smough and multiply that by two with all the bosses in the game Not a good image, huh? Still a fun game, though. The game's weapons had a purpose and very good system of when you should use it. And sometimes, the good time to use it is so fast, it can be easily missed.
6. Mega Man Classic

Of course this game is on this list! The game, at the time, was in an age of gaming that was not known, so a concept of a game was so odd and sometime just uncomfortable to play. Most devs didn't even knew what made a game good, so many people tried to find it and get it right for the people interested in it. Out of that age came this game, know as one of the classics and highlights of the NES games,
The game was partially based on trial and error, having the playing learn from his/her mistakes and have the player try to learn the layout of the game. So, most of the time, you just die over and over.
5. Bloodborne

Yes, one of the hardest game of today is on this list. Expect more! Anyways, the game was to show what Dark Souls 2 left out and, by the looks of it, they left out a lot! The bosses were one thing, but the game's enemies to get to them were such a challenge. You could run by them, but most of the time they just wack you before you can say goodbye!
4. Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!

Yet another Coin Muncher places it's name on this list! Although, the game was made on a cabinet, this one was built down to fit the NES for the people at home for the time. The game was easy with Glass Joe, but after all the beginner titles passed, the game made you memorize patterns and moves the fighter made, so you could defend against it the next time he throws it.This meant a lot of blood and sweat had to hit the floor before you laid a punch on you opponent.
3. Ninja Gaiden

A game with the worst and most memorable hawks, the game has set the record for hardest game in the world, but has been beaten in it since, but still, to this day, the game has player throw their controllers to the wall! You thought the first level was hard? Well, Look Over There!

2. Dark Souls

The game that was titled The Merciless, the game that was called the Pro Trainer and The Noob Crusher, the game was given to us as a tribute to games with actual difficulty and a great representation of fear of death. The game was the bane of dying and made leveling up such a burden! Who knew Bandai Namco and From Software would create such a game that would deprive us from our souls!
1. Super C

People have beaten the game Contra so many times and someone even beat the entire game without getting hit or taking damage. Well, Super C, Contra's sequel that made it look childish, was the game that barely any have beaten. Some have called this game unbeatable and most have it's impossible with its surprises and constant enemies.
What game was hard? What game was the worst in difficulty? Which game made you feel like this?
