I will be talking about Infinite in this review and this is a concerned review. I got this game on my birthday and I thought it would be nice to replay a recent memory, Bioshock Infinite. There is hardly any changes in the game, just a minor graphics upgrade. The challenging AI is still the same and the animation are not tattered with. The only thing that real bothers me in the game is how many glitches and bugs that are in the game! The AI sometimes malfunctions, the animations are sometimes interrupted by running in walls, the detection boxes widen and shorten from time to time, and the one iconic thing in the game is interrupted by a a stupid graphical bug!
This saddens me as a fan to see the game in such a bad state. I mean, the gameplay is still great and the scenes are still awesome to watch, but it gets broken when you are met with a glitch like that! I can take the hilarity of an NPC stuck in a wall, but when the Coin Toss is broken I can't take the game seriously or feel that chill down my spine when it happens. I hope they fix this and I hope they do it quick, because I almost feel like dropping the game and going on with the other games in the collection.
I don't know how they could do this when the game was basically made a few years ago. I mean, just make a port with graphics mods added in as a prize. Instead it had to feel like the game wasn't play tested. Why does that keep happening in the industry.
There isn't much else to talk about in the game. The gameplay is the same and the hardly any mechanics were changed. It's still fun and the story hasn't been touched. The glitches were bad, but the game is still enjoyable. I can understand the AI trouble since they are basically common in the game and can be impossible to fix without another popping up. This is all I have to say about the game and I haven't played the other games yet, so the other games will have their reviews out soon.
Let me know if the glitches are just me, since I haven't read any reviews on it. I would love to see the game fixed and I would love to see that original coin toss again. I hoped you like this review and I hope this gave you some insight of what the remastered version is. 'Til next time...
