Skyrim, oh we loved that game when it came out on the 11th of November in 2011. It came out on both consoles and PC and people just loved it. Almost more than the previous game, Oblivion. With the game still being played on PC, console gamers, however, didn't get the game on Xbox One or PS4. With Fallout on the horizon, we were hoping to see something leading to a Skyrim Remaster, but we didn't get until a year later. The game is still great, but what makes it fit here on this blog? Hello and welcome to this repeating thought blog!
Who wasn't excited when the game was announced? I certainly was! With the game being near the top of list of best game, I just could wait to spend another 60 bucks on the thing. When I got it, I started it up, created my character, finished the prologue and turned it off. You might be asking why I did that. Well, it's quite simple: I played the game to death. Although, I didn't get to the point I was a god among Skyrim, I played it to the point the game couldn't have me playing it anymore. I'm serious. One time, I got into a temple and couldn't get out without a 2 day load to happen. If the game was remastered a while ago, I might have played it a lot longer and still had that charm in my soul while playing it, but the game came too late.
Yes, the game was a late fan response and a spitefully awful one. The game is littered with bugs and game breaking glitches that sometimes the game can freeze or crash all together. As usual, I would have looked at it as a funny find and forgive Bethesda for this, but the game has been through the bug fix already. If the game came out along with Fallout 4, I might have forgiven this this because I would have been blinded by the wonders of Fallout 4 at the time. Now, the game is a buggy joke. I hardly play the game nowadays.
I mostly play the game to see what mods are out there to try out, testing the game's limits and seeing what happen if I did certain things to a town. Speaking of which, the game's mods are great, but the game is so glitched out that if you have more than 4 at the same time (Depending on the mod material) it would crash, freeze or create corrupted save files. To be honest, I don't know how the developers messed up on this. The game is fun until you see another glitch that wasn't in the game in the first place or was patched before hand. If you want to experience a good game with mods, I suggest you use the Unofficial Skyrim Patch mod. It really works and it really fixes the bugs in the game so it won't happen too often.
Speaking of mods, they're really fun. The creative people out there that can make these things are awesome. There are some mods that can expand your gameplay, mods that can expand your arsenal, even mods for laughs if you want to. You can play as SANIC or have that one fish scream "CHOCOLATE" every time you level up. The odds are endless if you have enough room to download them. Some are made by experienced people of the modding community and others that just started. I suggest you watch out for those guys. Sometimes, they don't try to fix some problems and warn you in the description.
Now to move on to the game itself, let's talk about the game's graphics. There is hardly any difference. There is some damn good floor graphics, but there is very little to see that's new in the game. If you want to make the game look really nice, I suggest to get some graphics mods to get some of that E3 presentation graphics. I really think it's a shame that Bethesda didn't do much in the game. I mean, it's a really great game, but why get it if you're just buying the same game again? I mean, I buy remasters to see improvement and get some nostalgia out, but if the game hasn't improved I feel like I was scammed.
I mean, I love you Bethesda, but at least give us something worth the buy! I know this was a short one, but what else is there to talk about? The game is great in general, what else haven't we heard already? The gameplay is nice and satisfying, the spells are great and the quests are awesome and just a wonder to complete. I just played this game to death and this was a late entry. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this little entry and 'til next time...
