Look at that! Going back to my roots! I've been trying to make one for about 5 months and it feels like years since I tried. Well, this one I feel confident about and feel things need to be said. A lot of games are being released constantly and sometimes they are great, but there is something called Franchise Fatigue. Hello and welcome to this top 10 game that need to die.
10. Warcraft

Warcraft was fun. The strategy was great and the story was so Star Wars-like, complete with a saga and a glorifying end. Once the game had it's Third installment, players were introduced to the next game in the franchise, World of Warcraft. It was a major shift in style and a debatable good decision on Blizzard's part.
I know many long time fans might be angry at me and won't share the same opinion, but seeing the story get bigger and the world get more complicated and weird just made the game seem like a thing of the past. Not like a three day old meme, I mean like something you use to do. You remember liking the story as a kid and when you get back to it, you just don't understand why you even liked it. The story has gotten so ridiculous, the lore has gotten complicated and the thought of memorizing seems like studying math on a Saturday.
I put this on the bottom of the list since people won't agree with me, but I still place it on the list. I still rather Blizzard go back to their roots with the game and try to produce Warcraft 4.
9. Halo

A franchise I loved and a game that my dad just can't play anymore, Halo has gotten down the drain since the franchise was passed onto 343, the company of which to ruin the franchise. The game had such great storytelling and an awesome universe that only it's owner can expand upon. The gameplay was such a great memory in our minds, it was basically Half-Life on the console.
As soon as Bungie was out of the contract, 343 stepped in to hopefully revive the franchise with "New Graphics" and a "New and Immersive Style" with "Awesome Gameplay." This was the game that almost every gamer went to see a good story campaign, but 343 had to ruin it with a confusing story, tons of plot holes and awful dialogue. Master Chief was no longer the man to go to when you wanted to hear awesome war stories, he is now the man you avoid to hear his rants about Vietnam and how he lost his finger he didn't lose.
To those who actually played the game for the multiplayer now get a more familiar grasp with it since the developers went to a CoD advantage with it. The competitor that Halo fought constantly and most one finally succumbed to the fight and ended it by being friends. Another thing for me to shed a single manly tear. No, it's not a single tear I take that back, it's a bucket full of them. This is placed so low on this because I still love the game before 343 stomped on it and I don't want to send too much hate on them.
8. Star Wars Games

Star Wars was my pride and joy then. Now, it's becoming a source of a cash grab tie in. I loved the game Lucas Arts has made, Rogue Squadron, Republic Commando, Jedi Academy, they were all great, but I rather not dwell to deep on what is today's Star War's classics. EA's Battlefront, I'm looking at you.
With the original company gone, the only one that could produce a good game, even if they were here today, is gone. Now we have to worry and hope the company who has the rights to make a game from the franchise is capable of making something good. And since Disney has their scummy hands on it, they can say what comes and goes in the franchise. Something brutal and dark, never before seen in a Star Wars story? Throw it away, it will damage the child friendly image it so wrongfully has! Parents will think differently upon us. Now let's get to the next gritty Pirates movie!
The damage has been done and no one wants to see any more of it, so Disney, just throw the rights in a safe and don't let anyone tarnish it like what EA did. You have done enough with Force Awakens' bad blow on the public, now make the next bad sequel for one of your classics.
7. Fallout

Fallout has been the Nuclear Survival Simulator for every gamer of the PC Master Race and it has left a large mark on those who played it. When Bethesda bought the rights of the game as soon as Fallout 3 was eventually canceled by the original developers, they revived the sequel the only way they know how: making it like Elder Scrolls. Although it's a minor setback and a clear sign of laziness, but it still gave us a great game we all loved, Console Gamers and PC Masters alike.
As soon as they followed the same method with 3, they released the newest sequel that would explode every gamer's mind and buckets of tears from all fans would be sent to the developers. The game was fun when we got it, but a short lived one. It had the same feel of Fallout 3, but not the same long lasting gameplay that Skyrim did. I don't want to see any more damage nor do I want to see more DLC to the game that would make the game just another annoying Nostalgia Cash-in. Please, just let the franchise die before you make it like Fallout Tactics.
6. Assassin's Creed

The only game with two asses in the title, this has been one of the only great games from Ubisoft to actually impress their viewers. Well, I guess that was before they started to scam us. Those were simpler times. The new soon to be series came with an explosion, but soon became a dying fire.
It was another one of those cases where the trailers looked great, but the game was trash. I believe it all went downhill when Black Flag came, the only game close to a Pirate Genre today! You look at it now see the games had some awful glitches that had no forgiveness to the developers at all.
The gamers started to take notice of the yearly releases as each game become more and more the same as the last, but with a slight re-texture. They finally stopped it last year, but we can see they only did that because the movie was coming out that year to get their yearly big check. Even the fans are hoping the franchise dies as does Ubisoft. In case of death:

Have you heard a name so much that you hated the sound of it? That's how I feel with this game sometimes (Preparing for hate). Anyways, the game has been the last effort the Square Enix and it really helped them out in the long run! I mean look at them! They're still going strong! But they never seem to let go of it.
I know, that a long lasting franchise is a good franchise, but every time I hear the name, I groan and change the topic before somebody goes nuts about Cloud and how f**king confusing of a character he is. Sorry, I couldn't hold in the anger. I'll be much calmer. The game has gotten so many sequels that they have hit the number 15. Yes, you stay-at-home nerd, 10+ f**king 5! Have you ever seen a franchise go that high in sequels before and still gets an overhyped calling? Nope, this is the only one that has gotten to the number and hasn't given up.
I really don't know what is special about the newer ones since the gameplay I like is ripped out and replaced with DMC combat with a little bit of RPG elements, but eh. It's fun I guess. Although the game has changed, I still want to see this game be put to rest. I mean for good. Not a long wait show a new sequel, I mean it's over kind of "rest." I believe, by the time I post this, I will be the only who has a bad case of the Franchise Fatigue with this game.
4. Arkham Series

The Dark Knight, the Caped Crusader, The Batman.People love being a superhero sometimes. Each person has their favorites, but the one that everyone wants to be is Batman, so it was likely that someone was going to make a game out of it. Many have done it before, but have never gotten notices. I like the Batman: The Animated Series game on the Gamecube. A good hidden gem if you ask me. Anyways, the only one that actually had people talking about it was Arkham Asylum, the game that prepared your mind for a ride with a mixture of many different elements that fit with the game, Batman himself and didn't push the game too far into the silly side of the Comic Book World.
The only thing bad about the game was that they had to rag the game out into a franchise that felt rushed. Arkham City was argued to be the best as the prequel, Arkham Origins, took the game down the rabbit hole of Predictable Story and Boring Gameplay. The Arkham Knight was a fun game in of itself, but felt like it didn't need to happen, especially after trophy run you had to do to complete the game. Just Youtube the end and you're done with the game.
That should be a sign that you have to put down the Arkham series, Developers. Please to ruin this more than you already have. The damage is done, let the scars heal or just leave it be so people don't have to remember it anymore.
3. Call of Duty.

A game nicknamed by the developers, Medal of Honor Killer, everyone could not forget the days of classic CoD, WWII classics, killing Nazis and making sure their Demon souls go straight to hell was such as fun game. That was until the game had its boots off the ground.
The game went from WWII to Modern Warfare to a Sci-Fi fanfiction of CoD. The game has gotten some critical hate for that and a lot of players let because of it. We can see that not enough has left since they're still going strong with the newest Sci-Fi, Infinite Warfare. Although, people hated how they scammed fans to buy the game to own the remastered CoD 4 game on it.
Besides that, it has become annoying to see the game become a yearly released game, sequel after sequel after sequel, the game would stop coming and the developer's laziness showed brightly. The game has a stolen engine from the Half-Life game with slightly modified graphics and mechanics. They went as far as to even using the same first game and modified and went from there. The newest CoD you're playing right now is basically the last one you played last year, Black Ops 3! Just slightly modified. Can you chew on that, viewer?
2. Battlefield

If you compare the two, Battlefield is a far more superior version of CoD. Well, if you ask me. They have better looking animations and graphics, the story is more compelling and the multiplayer is far larger than any I have ever seen.
Although, I loved 2142, I believe I have seen enough of this game. We get it, you are competing with CoD, but if you look at it, you're not competing with much, EA. I mean, Battlefield is the cause of their Battlefront's awful release and each game sequel they release is just another re-texture of the game with slapped on debuffs and call it a sequel. Battlefield 1 has gotten the community by storm, but the game is a bit overrated don't you think? I believe it's time to let it go, EA, but judging by you dirty, grubby little hands, you don't wanna stop this cash-grabber.
1. Mario

As many of you might know, I hate Mario. The original games, like the Super Mario franchise is exceptional, but any other game with the name Mario slapped into anything is something else entirely.
Have you ever heard of Mario RPG, kids? You probably don't like it since your minds are spoiled with CoD, but that's a game! I know you kids know Paper Mario? It's basically Mario RPG with a better and easy to animate look! I'm actually serious, that's the reason why the game has RPG elements to it. Anyways, I never got the reason why people got into Mario being good at everything, he can play any sport and play it like he was a god, he take any adventure and complete it without breaking a swea-and now I get why that's a thing. That actually sounds awesome.
Well, people see him as Mario, as other see him as the Face Nintendo, which (If you ask me) isn't right. Nintendo is a Kid friend company that makes games for both children and adults. Zelda makes every adult scream like fanboys, while Mario shuts every kid up. Sounds harsh, but it's good on both ends of the stick if you look at it. Anyways, I don't he fits to be the face of Nintendo. I believe he should be the backside of Nintendo, like a back-up pistol for a cowboy. "Well, what should be the face of Nintendo, StarterPack?" Well, I don't know, but I rather Link be the face Nintendo, since he appeals to both audiences, Kids and Adults. This is starting to become a rant, so I'll stop here.
Well, I hope you liked this blog! It took me a while to go back to my roots, but I finally did it. I've been sitting here for about 4 hours now, so I'll make this quick: if you guys like discussing games and talking about what makes a game, then look to this video link!
It's Berry from Game Grumps that talks about what is wrong with the Immersion in games. He does it well and it's very interesting to watch him go about like a Squirrel in a cave full of nuts. I'm not sponsored by them or anything, I just want this video to get more notice. Go ahead and click the video to watch and tell them, StarterPack sent ya with lots of hate! 'Til next time...
