Overwatch: It's Game and Story...

Image result for Overwatch game and comic

Overwatch has become of one of the best games out there within the few days it's been shown to the public in 2014. The story is great as well as the game itself, but what good are they together? I mean, there is a deep and powerful narrative in the story, but the game seems to ignore the story and become a team-based shooter. Hello Wandering Traveler and welcome to this blog explaining what is involved in Overwatch's story to it's game.

Image result for Overwatch game and comic

The cinematic shorts from the beginning of 2015 was a very deep scoop of what the game is about and what you should know about the characters themselves. The Dragon short as well as the Last Bastion short were some of the most emotion of what we got. We got a deep, relatable, and loveable character out of all of the characters. They seemed like they would create a great movie put in the right direction, but what does this have to do with Cap the Point and Push the Cart?

Image result for overwatch push the payload

The game was well advertised, but had little to do with the gameplay. What was in the payload? Why are we taking this point? What does all this have to do with the story that we were presented before launch? Even during the Beta's launch, I expect to see some of a relation to the story we were given, but all we got was about three game modes that didn't really seem fun at first.

Trust me, I love this game. It's really fun and the characters are so easy to get use to, but I want to see what might happen with the game's characters at hand. Make a game mode called "Heroes and Villains"  where the villains in the game like Reaper, Junkrat and Widowmaker fight the heroes such as Bastion, Winston and Soldier 76 and you have to kill each other until all of one team is dead as the victory screen says Villains Win or Heroes Win. I would love to see that! That would be great!

Image result for overwatch unfinished

Because of the lack of story, the players demand to see more of it. It is requested more than new characters in the game! A full length movie could be great with this, or maybe a TV show just to give it to the fans, but instead we get a comic. It's still a great thing, but not what we expected. That showed us more about the characters and why they are fighting and it seems like more questions are being asked after each issue. I know there was an Omni Crisis, but who is the threat? Is it Blackwatch trying to take their name to a horrifying height? Or is it that some of the Overwatch members are dying constantly over an unknown threat? We are never informed by this, but we are still enjoying the stories Blizzard has to tell.

Besides that, I am still confused on why the Overwatch characters are called by Winston. There is little evidence on who their enemy is. There has to be an enemy and from what we have, Blackwatch is is the villains, but I'm not sure. Seriously, if any of you guys know anything about this, please tell me!

The game is now getting old, if you haven't noticed, and the hype for a new character named Sombra is still lingering in the minds of the players, so something new might give us a bigger take on the game, or a reveal of new plot of the story is shown in the game's map like how TF2 did with the rumors of Mann Vs. Machine in their maps. Blizzard, we need something new and something to give us fans a new reason why these Overwatch guys are fighting and why they are called to action by Winston. I really hope they bring out more on this story and I hope you guys somewhat enjoyed this. "Til next time...

Community Writing Challenge: The Games That Need Changing

Image result for mass effect 3 bad ending

Games are my excuse of readying something. I never liked to read much, but playing something felt like I was reading a story and I loved it. There are many game of which I love and some of which had the best story. I made sure I explored and understood most of them, but sometimes, I'd like to change some things in them. Hello Wandering Traveler and welcome to this Community Writing Challenge!

Bioshock 2: Good Ending

Image result for Bioshock 2 good ending

I think I'm one of the many people who loved Bioshock 2 more than the original. The game was dynamic, while gameplay was great and well improved. The story was so great, it built the tension to meet Sophia Lamb. How were we going to end it? With a mind blowing truth by the antagonist? Or a somber death awaiting conclusion? What we got was something I didn't want. You see Sophia Lamb in her escape pod as you try to fill it with sea water. As you do this, it still blasts off into the surface as you grab on following her. You daughter, Eleanor, either saves sophie or kills her (Depending how you played). The escape pod submerges out of the water as you climb to the top for air. You're slowly dying, fading as your daughter holds your hand and has you join her, in her eyes. Sounds touching, but not a satisfying one. It left you with this feeling that you didn't accomplish anything.

It would have been a lot better if you and your daughter was to find a close island or found the coast of New York and gave you a proper burial as the Little Sisters you saved mourned as you daughter did. Having the feeling that you saved your daughter and those Little Sisters. It's not as touching as the Bioshock 1 Good Ending, but it's something better than the original.

Tiber Septim's Death

Image result for tiber septim oblivion

Tiber Septim being voiced by Patrick Stewart, but he was a short lived moment. He was so well voiced and a great character. I would have loved to see that they made the storyline a longer more fleshed out one. Instead of running from an Assassin Attack, why not run from an enemy invasion? You protect him from whatever threat there is and gain his trust as you fight along the side of his watch. As you escape, you become friends with Tiber and become the head of the watch as you get to know who Tiber is and how he feels about being the King and Ruler of Tamriel. Then, once you have virtual feelings for him, the assassins kill him in front of you. You claim revenge as the gates of oblivion rise from the earth.

It would be worth the time of Mr. Stewart and a great way to use him. Without that happening, I still enjoyed Oblivion and is still one of my favorite games out there today.

Inside

Image result for Inside game

Inside is a great game with a large amount of symbolism. A bit of a spoiler, but the end of the game was a strange and unfulfilling one. It gave us a blob of arms and legs screaming or moaning as you rolled into walls, people and doors. You make your way to a trap as the humans look down upon you in that hole they put you in. As it seems like the game is to an end, you see the blog swimming as you pull off panels to reveal an escape route. You eventually escape, but you seem to fall off a hill as you smack on the ground at a coast. I don't really know what to say about it and I wish I could have an explanation to what this blob is why are these people are turned into zombie slaves. I would have had it better if you got revenge on those that trapped you and at least die with some courage that can be written in the history books.

Fallout 4's Institute Storyline

Image result for fallout 4 institute

I was a bit mixed while following the words of Father in the Institute Storyline. I mean, I got vibes of him lying to me, using me to kill their enemies and take the land as they advance into the wastes. I thought I did something right, but seeing the Brotherhood die, the people who helped you in Fallout 3. I wasn't sure what to feel after this. I felt empty after that, but basically nothing. I would have loved it if you could make a truce with the Brotherhood or at least try to prove that the Institute isn't an enemy. I think that would have been a more satisfying ending to the main storyline.

Well, those are all of them! I have lots, but there are too many to count and too much work and research to do so. Especially if I have school to do. I hope you somewhat enjoyed this and 'til next time...

Top 10 Great Games that Need a Reboot...

Image result for Resident Evil

There is a large selection of games that have marked gaming history in either how great the game was or how many were willing to buy this game. Titles such as Shadow Warrior, Doom and Quake have gotten new reboots and are great or going to be great, but what about those greats that haven't gotten the reboot treatment? Hello Wandering Traveler and welcome to this top 10 great games that really need a reboot. Know that games that are getting a reboot aren't getting a place on this list. Hope you enjoy

10. Silent Hill

Image result for silent hill

The game has made everyone afraid to continue. SInce it's release, the game has become many's favorites and had hundreds of Game of the Year awards. The thought of a personal hell and why you're there is a great little plot point to give us an insane twist. It had a marvelous story and a great life-contemplating subject. Since the game seems to have no light of which to shine, the game will be poorly missed.

9. Duke Nukem

Image result for duke nukem

A game that made all of us laugh and play as the most legendary badass at the time. He was legend to teenagers of the late 90's. Since his crash sequel, Duke Nukem Forever, the laughter we had died with our hopes of this being a good game. After being a in Development Hell for almost a decade, how couldn't we see that this game was going to be a flop. People want the old and original gameplay back and the funny style that was Duke. A reboot of this game may be tricky, but it may work if done right, but as of now, the game has to wait until they are able to release a reboot or plan on it.

8. F.E.A.R. (First Encounter Assault Recon)

Image result for f.e.a.r. game

After Doom was Half-Life and the title that took it's place was F.E.A.R.. A game that mixed a difficult shooter with some horror elements, and the Max Payne Slo-Mo, players have played this and it's sequels to the end. With the expansion of the the original and to F.E.A.R. 2 taking it's place again. The incredible AI made players think tactally and play strategically, while Alma, a god-like ghost continuously tries to kill you. Like Duke Nukem, the game fell after it's most recent sequel, F.E.A.R. 3. A game that just felt different and didn't play very good. It would be nice to see a new one out there, but I rather wait until the memories of 3 would go away.

7. Shadow of the Empire

Image result for Shadow of the empire

A great game all together and has been placed on the best Star Wars game title. You play as Dash Rendar who is hired by the Rebels to destroy enemy bases and take out any high ranking official in the Empire. A fun adventure on the N64 and still holds up today. It would be great if they brought this game to a new looking side of things and recreated it's gameplay and setting in a new and acceptable fashion. Since Lucas Arts is gone, we all hope this game would find a good owner if this ever get a chance for a reboot.

6. Punch-Out!!

Image result for Punch-Out!!

A classic game of the old 80's that challenges your skill, swiftness, and tests your patience. This was a game that had people playing until they couldn't now more. It made titles of best game of the year some many times and best cabinet even today. Once he game went to consoles too long after it's original cabinet release and later release on the Wii, the game had people crying or cheering (depending on how you are in the game). Although, the older versions were very... Well, offensive would be touching it. The Wii version took it seriously with the nationality roots of the boxing characters, making it a much more enjoyable game.

It was fun seeing good old Little Mac on the screen while you whaled on a boxer of any nationality. it would be nice to see the infamous Little Mac once again on either the Wii U or even on the awaited NX. Imagine how the game would be: better graphics, clean controls and a bit more challenge. I would love to see this game again and would love to see what whacky characters they might put in there as well. I mean, if Donkey Kong can be fought in the Wii Punch-Out, then I would love to see Wario or Bowser as a secret opponent.

5. Condemned

Image result for condemned criminal origins

This was a great game that sent a constant chill down your spine every time when you're alone. The game had you on edge and kept you there until the big reveal of an enemy. I would personally love an acceptable reboot. It would be great if they fixed the camera controls, because it just was either too slow or just hard at turning! I know that builds on the scare factor, but I rather have some control on whether or not I want to face the guy scaring me!

The game would be great with better graphics, pleasing gameplay and on top of the graphics, make a better and long lasting scare out of me. I mean, seeing something with the equivalent of RE7 graphics would be awesome!

4. Rogue Squadron series

Image result for Rogue Squadron

This a game of great memory back in the days of the N64. You played as a rookie pilot on a mission to defeat the Empire's greatest. Sounds too big for a simple rookie, but the rookie is being played by the player! The game was one of the best Star Wars game and still is to this day. It has a large amount of replayablity and who can forget about the black car V-Wing cheat?

I would love to see this made from today's tech and ignoring the flight controls in EA's Battlefront. Put some of the newest and coolest galactic ships in the Star Wars lore and take on some new places such as the Starkiller Base from Force Awakens. It would be great, but I want to see it in an acceptable fashion. I don't to see something new from EA, I want to see something cool.

3. Metroid Prime

Image result for metroid prime

A game that made long fans surprised upon release and created a great path of newer gaming for the future. With a great soundtrack, we are still to this day hoping for a sequel of this great series. After witnessing what was Federation Force, hopes for a new game or anything similar to the Prime games is lower than the hopes for a 3 appearing in any Valve game. It would be nice to see the game without motion controls and with awesome graphics. Although, graphics don't matter, but a beautiful game can bring gamers of all to gather around and a game like this would be perfect for just that

2. Serious Sam

Image result for serious sam

Deemed to be a Quake Clone, the game made players play as the comedic Serious Sam to compete with the equally funny, Duke Nukem. The fast gameplay and unique enemies are great for today's challenge-seeking players. After playing and loving the new Doom Reboot, if the game was to adapt to that gameplay and create an even more fun ride. Seeing Sam at his richest in full HD and new tech would be a tear-jerking moment for me.

1. Time Splitters

Image result for Timesplitters

This was one of the best game out there on the Xbox and Gamecube. I played this as a little kid and just loved it. I know this is a more personal entry, but I would love to see this game being rebooted in an acceptable version in today's standards. The gameplay would show us how much of a difficult game could be and the better graphics would give us a shed nostalgia when seeing Cortez in High Resolution.

With the game's plot, it would fit with today's futuristic setting. And the transition to other time periods sounds like a good way to bring in some new weapons on the table. And seeing either the same voice actor or a new/better voice actor for Cortez would be awesome and have me shed a tear for that piece of nostalgia and awesomeness.

What games do you think need to be rebooted? There are a lot of games out there that are of need of a fresh new start that I haven't named. Although, this is my picks, I would like to hear the community tell me what they think should be rebooted in the future. But 'til next time...

My Thoughts on Resident Evil 7

Image result for resident evil 7

After playing the demo and watching multiple trailers, I'm a bit sceptical about it. Although, it's great to find a new game leading to the horror roots, but not the right roots. All of you guys out there who are loving this game's trailers might be thinking to yourself "What are the 'right roots?" Well there are many roots of horror. Hello Wandering Traveler and welcome to this thought blog.

A Walking Horror

Image result for resident evil 7

If you don't know, a walking horror is a horror game relying on observation and the area the player's in. Kind of like a haunted house event near the neighborhood. Sounds like P.T. (I will be comparing this demo to P.T. very often). They put you in a location no one would want to go and have you walk through it. If you couldn't tell, Resident Evil is not that kind of game. The game will force you to walk in unwanted areas, but won't have that be the reason why you're scared or frightened. They will add in Monsters or Zombies to have as a dangerous obstacle. In today's standards this doesn't sound very scarey, but Resident Evil was known for it's save areas.

A typewriter or a phone would act as a save point as the game would throw in awful situations, making you fear your demise. In my opinion, that's what made Resident Evil famous. The thought of dying is still a feared concept, but isn't much of one in games. You either had infinite lives or countless checkpoints to keep your precious progress. The one game to bring that back was the RE inspired game, Dead Space.

Image result for Dead Space save points

That image was a beacon of light, a sigh or relief, a chance to stop playing. Unless you played on easy, it was hard to get there. Enemies would be coming out of nowhere and bringing you health down to almost zero. You had to get there, and if you didn't you would have to start over from the earliest save. That is a fear that has genuine feeling to it and it can never be gotten use to.

With the gameplay of the RE7 demo, it seems to be lacking in any of that. Although, just a demo, but if this represents what the final product might be, then I might think on calling it just Biohazard instead of Resident Evil.

Copying A Similar Great Game

Image result for P.T.

I know many of you might think I'm taunting the developers for copying P.T.'s awesome and mysterious gameplay, but I'm not. I'm simply just pointing out that this is the inspiration, but the wrong inspiration.

Don't get me wrong, I want to play RE7, but is it an RE7 game? This is the question I ask any RE fan that can't wait for this game. And they think and do the same thing I'm doing. You see it in a new light and find that some it isn't going to be a "NEW!" Resident Evil we are hoping for. I mean, yes. I want to see someone else than Chris Redfield or Leon Kennedy, why couldn't they do what they did with Resident Evil 4?

Resident Evil 4 was going to be a hack and slash game, but was later renamed as Devil May Cry (Another otherwise great game). After a few years, they made a new Resident Evil 4 without Zombies. It was still the same game, but with different gameplay mechanics. It used the old mechanics such as the Typewriter Save Station, but made the game harder and placed those save stations farther apart.

With the gameplay of the demo, it seems like they want to replace Silent Hill (Again another great game), and I don't want to see that! That what I really don't want to see. Seeing Halo turn into a CoD clone was far enough for me.

The Lack of Resident Evil Characters

Image result for resident evil 7 characters

In my opinion, this is a great thing. I don't want to see the same character in every game. I want to see more and more characters to be created side by side, but this can make the game hard to label as Resident Evil because of that.

We know many characters like Jessica from Revelations or Piers from the unliked Resident Evil 6. Why not more? The characters seen in the gameplay trailers and demo has people greeted to new people of the series. Although, these don't look anything from Resident Evil, Neither does the villains or monsters. They just look like something similar to The Hills Have Eyes.

I'm not liking many of these character we are shown and I'm getting more and more sceptical as the game get more reveals. I'm trying my hardest to be excited for this game, but I just can't for the likes of me.

Conclusion

Image result for resident evil 7

Although, I'm very sceptical about the game, I still can't wait to see the game. I'm not excited for the game, but I would like to see the final product before I start to hate on it. Anyways, I hope you like this read somewhat and what do you think about the game? I know that's a big question before it's release, but what do you guys think about it now? Do you think the game is going in the right direction? You can tell me, but 'til next time...

Pitching Ideas: Vendetta's Bane and How I Want it

Remember that  CWC where you had to write and post your idea for a game? Well, I made a response to that called Vendetta's Bane and it has been an age old idea I had for a long time. I want to describe how the game will be in my mind. I've been thinking about this for a long time and I've changed this so many times, so I might change things later in the future. I hope you enjoy

Gameplay!

Image result for witcher 3 screenshot

I love the Witcher 3 and it seems like the camera angle would be great for the game, but nothing else. Besides that, I would like to put my own ideas in, such as:

  • The aiming mechanic would be similar to the games Gears of War and Uncharted, where you can fire without aiming, but is more of a burst, or aim with a small bust.
  • The game will have a sneaking mechanic and get realistic sound design for the enemy AI to detect, reloading, with too much armor, or touching walls, forcing the player to be prepared when approaching an enemy.
  • The combat will determine how you encounter it, a small group will approach if you are hidden or with little armor, but firing loud weapons like a shotgun or rifle will attract more around the area.
  • Weapons of the same type will be have different versions. For example: a pump-action shotgun would have a medium range and a small spread, while the double-barrel shotgun would have a short range, but a wider spread.
  • Enemies will be smart. If they can, they will dodge a bullet and try to fire back. If you make a sound, they will notice and will be curious enough to look.
  • There will be running/sprinting meter and will be short and can be increased in a selected skill or gained for a limited time from tonics or foods.
  • Ammo won't be gained from dead enemies or corpses and cannot gain additional ammo from dropped weapons.

This is just ideas I want to pitch for the game. The one thing I want in the game is a close combat system where you can choose to use fists, a sword or the legendary Visor Sword. You would be able to get different types for different occasions. A double-sided blade for surrounded combat or a Kitana to take down more powerful foes.

The Visor Sword, in my vision, would be like a wrist Light Saber. It can cut through anything and can make your way to other places if necessary while sneaking. Of course, this would feel like an overpowered weapon, so making it limited would be nice, fair and a lot more challenging.

I was thinking on having the Visor Sword to use batteries and you would have to find them to charge it for a tough battle. I was thinking that they would be like the Daedra arrows in Skyrim, so rare and hard to find. You can either buy them with an expensive price or find them at raider camps.

Currency

Image result for A gold septim

I always loved currency in games. You felt powerful with the your riches or you felt like a peasant with how little you carried. I would like to encourage the player to collect as much money as possible, but have him spend it. Because the game is set in an alternate western future, I would like have the player to want to use the money to spend it on useful things like ammo or medicine. And if they keep collecting, then raiders or criminals will have you as a target. With that bounty on your head plus that much on you would be nice for someone else if you're not going to use it.

With the rules of money and how much is an American dollar to an English pound, plus the how new the country is at this time period, I would like to make the money be as much as an early American dollar which was a lot with just a dollar alone, teaching the player with a this old, but new (in their minds) currency system where $50 is like $50,000 in real life.

Enemy and AI

Image result for fear game AI

I like a challenging enemy. It's one of the best moments in action games! The one thing I would love is an enemy with realistic armor. Since armor in some games is ignored armor realism, I would like to see that the armor has to be either knocked off or just hit there hard enough to push the air out of his chest to stagger him. If it isn't full body armor, like a chest plate, you can shoot off the the helmet or shoulder plate off to get a kill or get an easy spot to shoot. Of course, they would react to this by keeping in cover or try to go the defensive by using grenades.

Besides that, the enemies will be in variety, in classes. The AI would be smarter in certain classes such as the heavy weapons man or the high ranked scout which would act more strategically in both sneaking and attack. A sound to a thug won't matter. They hear it check for a bit and just leave. A scout would hear you look for you and inform others that someone might be i their camp or base. It would make the player make sure they don't mess up. During combat, they would duck in cover and fire shots to draw the player to pay attention there and move towards you as you're distracted.

They may be AI, but I would like them to make mistakes. Remember in Fear, where if you killed a someone while sneaking, they would hold the trigger as they fell to the ground? Well, if those bullets hit their fellow teammates, it would count as a hit for them. I would like to see that in this game. You can snipe someone and he would pull the trigger of whatever gun he had. Even then, if someone jumps in front of someone else firing, they would take the bullet.

Besides the AI or how they kill each other, I rather not have them be human. They would have conversations and mingle with each other as they patrol the area. I would like them to talk, but not like more games where they say selected few words and reply with another selected few words. I want them to talk about the base they're at. Say something bad about it, say something bad or talk about useful information about the base for the player to know. Conversations about a Boss or the target that would give great info on what they're weak to or where you can kill them. Something new that would be great for this game.

What I want is a specific set of enemies, like clans or gangs to watch out for. The few I was thinking of was The Talo Raiders: A clan of thugs and mercenaries that serve for the man named Edward Talo, a man that wishes nothing but to kill all who believe or seem better than him. A combat based clan that utilizes firearms and melee weapons. A beginner's opponent to learn how to fight.

The Cutlets: a gang that is skilled with knives and anything stabby, the gang's only purpose is to cut anyone down when in their way. They use any handheld weapon, especially a sword. They are agile and can be fast. A worthy opponent to test your skill.

The Patriots: a separatist group that wishes to keep the patriot name true. Run by a man named Clark Hammaron, they walk the lands to try and spread their faith of the Puritan religion to others and those who thought other wise would be killed. A group who utilizes the blunderbuss or single-barrel shotgun on close ranged action while others use muskets and rifles to shoot from long ranges. When unarmed, hatchets or axes are useful to them as well. An opponent that can test almost anyone to their limits; a good test if you learned well in the game

The one, in my opinion, that has gotten stranger as I thought about them was the Porcelain Raiders: a community cult that shows no emotions whatsoever and bares a porcelain mask that everyone has in the group. They like to circle their opponent or prey as they wait for a moment to strike. It would be smart to not try and break their circle, since they are powerful when they strike all at once. They use mainly the sword as their main weapon, so sword combat is necessary. An opponent that can truly break you.

These are just a few I'm thinking of. I want about 7 to be an enemy out there, to challenge the player and give more bosses (Which I'll get back to later). Again, I'm still thinking about this and most of it isn't even done.

NPC and Important Characters

Image result for NPC and characters

I don't want to see a game with annoying NPC that get in the way and just stop you to do things you don't want to do. I rather have them be alive. Be fitting to some traits: The ladies man, the mercenary and the farmer are the men of the land while the stripper, Tomboy and the gentlewoman taking the personalities of the everyone woman. They will pass by you saying something according to their traits. They would react to what they are. If they are the Farmer or the Gentlewoman and you fired a shot, they would run into houses or stores to hide or get away from you. The others would just stare or get out of your way.

In the characters, I would love them to be different from each other. Rarely I would want them to be similar to another I made. They would be complex and each one would have different morals, as you try comparing them to yours . Each one will try to question your personality as you do each one's mission and bounty. This is something I really want in the game and the characters are barely developed, so I hope they go well.

The shopkeepers would be like almost any other. You are put in a menu to select and purchase an item of your choosing. You buy almost anything from the goods seller, while bullets and weapon fixes would be sold at the gunsmith. A blacksmith can sharpen your sword or can smelt you a new one for a price. They can talk, but won't mean much for the game. A shopkeeper's job is to feed their family or keep their home.

Bosses

Image result for Bosses in games

I want to have a lot of memorable bosses. Not like how Orinstien and Smough were, I want them to be like Ganondorf or Mother Brain, remembered for their long awaited sequence to appear. The town would talk about the boss and say how much of a badass he is and how he has treated the people.

Like Legend of Zelda, each boss would drop a new item that would upgrade your armor or weapons or up your arsenal by one. A weapon like the Visor Sword will be upgraded a lot in each boss fight, giving a new ability to the player. I'm not sure what else they'll drop, but feedback would be nice for this one.

As I said before, there about 7 groups of raiders and got only 4 thought out. I don't want them to be the boss protecting the main boss or the group of Sub-Bosses that poorly lead to the final one. I want them to be the leaders of the raiders or bounties to gain money. Something that makes them more than the bosses we know today.

Of course each boss would be different from each other. Each would use a pattern of specific attacks, but would be hard to prevent their attack. Everything would be obvious or have to be explored by the player to kill this boss. The area would be a hint, if the guy loves explosives and leaves barrels of it lying around the room like as if they were toys in a kids room, you might as well give him a taste of his own medicine. If the boss is a trickster, might wanna check if there are any traps on the floor to throw at him. These sound simple, but I haven't thought of the bosses yet. It can be hard to think of a good boss, but I can manage to create a good one.

Anyways, I hoped you somewhat liked this little idea of mine! It was fun to write and It took me longer than three days to write this. Again, I hope you somewhat liked this and if you have any feedback or any ideas of your own, I would love to hear it. I kind of need the help. And as usual...

The Game was Rigged from the Start

Pitching Ideas: Nova, The New Zombie Thriller!

Image result for Futuristic zombie concept art

This is an idea I had for a while. It's been a concept I kept in my head and in my note books for quite some time. I've always loved a game with Zombies. Their portrayal of this concept was good, but made it seem like a fun apocalypse. I know what makes a horror game work and I would love to make the game a feared one. I know the Zombie trope is a typical one, but I don't want to make this game the next Dead Island or Dead Rising, I want this to shadow the game STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl.

Image result for shadow of chernobyl

Although, not technically a Zombie game, but a survival horror with radiation-exposed animals and humans. There were a large variety of enemies, creatures and including humans, that made the game feel like you weren't alone as you wandered the forest or abandoned facility alone. It gave a genuine fear to the player that made the him paranoid. A glow in the distance could be an invisible monster waiting for a chance to kill you or that sound might have been a tentacle-faced monster hunting you.

I want to make a similar variety of enemies, each one being frightening and feared to the player. It would be like Left 4 Dead's special infected, like the tank or boomer, but instead of four or eight, their would be twenty more of them to worry about. I've always loved a game that made the player pay attention to the game, like Silent Hill's radio. Every time you heard that eerie and disturbing static, that meant an enemy was near by. Although, I don't want to do that typical Japanese Horror method, I rather do that in a way with environment sounds. A can being kicked, the skittering bushes, gravel falling, anything that would happen in real life, would take place in the enemy-spotting mechanic.

Image result for shoot the zombie in the head head

Since most games and movies say that the head is the only weakness to the horde, I would like to expand that. Since most games have the player just hit anywhere to kill it, I would like to put that in the game, but not really. My idea would be that the virus would heal the body even after the brain is damaged and bring it back up with new and stronger skin. This would have them get up and wonder the area or hunt the player depending on which type it was. This would encourage the player to destroy the head off the body for them to not resurrect. On top of that, the infection can regrow limbs, but not creating a hand, but a long blade or jointed knife, having the player to rethink cutting the limbs and laughing at them.

Of course, most Zombies would be different according to their environment; Hunters like to stalk their prey in the woods, while the Brute likes to travel in the cities and track his prey once they're seen. The Slashers like to hide in dark places since they're blind, while Fog Walkers like to follow the fog and capture their prey as the fog/mist blinds them. Walkers and Runners will be their, but only to give the idea that there are Zombies in the game, but can be a hard enemy. Harmless ones, although in different types and in varieties, are called Scavengers. They would be too weak and frail to attack and aren't aggressive. You can kill them for loot and supplies, but they can attract other zombies to in the area to follow.

Image result for walking dead rick shooting his gun

In many cases, you don't want an intruder or villain to know where you are, so, like in most Zombie games, sound is important to not make. Gunfire, a car starting and a missing swing hitting the floor can attract something to you. I don't want to make it like other game where they only have runners come after you, but I want to have a nearby horde to hear it and follow. Do you remember that one season of Walking Dead where that helicopter flew in the sky which lead to the farm? I want it to be like that where they follow the sound. I want to have the player not use the gun or rely on it too much, since you can sneak around them or just take some out with a knife or blunt weapon.

Another thing I would really love to see in this game is different hordes, a horde of Brutes, a horde of Runners, a horde of Night-Crawlers, if it's anything other than a walker or crawler, than you should be cautious.

Image result for l4d witch

If you remember the Witch from Left 4 Dead, then you probably recognize her cries and screams. She had such an iconic sound that if anyone heard it, they would know it's from that game. I want to make that a thing in this game, but not like how Valve did it. Each Zombie would have a signature scream or groan to tell them differently between to others. A Brute would have a deep and menacing scream, while the Hunter is a loud clicking sound as he watches his prey.

Image result for Rais' gang

Besides the zombies, I would like to have humans as an enemy. Of course there  are those people that care for themselves and only them, so people like scavengers would be in the game as enemies or cautious CPU and raiders would be in groups attacking anyone that cross them. They would be in places to spawn like camps or secure places, like bunkers or safe houses. I would like them to work as well as the Zombies, but with a slightly smarter AI. Added to their character and AI, I would like to have them tremble in fear when they seem to be overpowered by the player, have them lead the player to a trap to at least hurt them.

This is what I got! I know it seems half-baked (At least, it feels like it to me), but I would like to hear what you guys think of it. I would love to hear what you guys might think of this and if their is anything I could improve would be great. I hope you somewhat enjoyed this and 'til next time...

The Two Experiences

Okay, I turned 17 about three days ago and that means I gotta buy things with my money even though I don't get an allowance. And with buying my own stuff, I have to deal with some of the strangest of people. Some of the time it's not even in the public. Hello Wandering Traveler and welcome to this blog about my experience with the people of this awful world.

Image result for rage quitting

This a more online deal and it's typical and predictable entry. It was on G-Mod. Laugh at me all you want and mock me, Console peasants, but I know some of you PC players know what I'm going to tell you. I was playing on a City RP server. For those that don't know what RP means, it basically Role Play.

I was on there as a Hobo and just wanted to fool around. Since I was a Hobo, whenever an admin pulled me or if I was accused for RDM or Fail RP, I would say I was being a Hobo. You might say the Mayor job is great when you can create your own laws, but what happens when you get impeached? Anyways, I got off topic I got on a server as a Hobo and just thought to myself, "I need a Hobo spot!"

The server had hardly any restrictions for the props, so I spawned some junk: An oven, a few boxes, a pile of trash and a dumpster bin for some added effect. The next thing I know, a kid comes up to me and tells me he's trying to do a show. I ask him where his your show is  and tells me it's in the street. I was obviously quite aways in the forest, so him telling me that was pointless. I tell him that I'm not disturbing him, but like the bratty kid he was, he yelled at me saying I was in the way. I don't know why he wanted to do this, but he did it. I told him that if I was in the way, then he can move. He did and I was glad he did. I continued to do what I was doing and had some new friends with me. They were all hobos as well and made their own hobo camps. They all named their camps, like "Candy Mountain" or "Fort Awesome." I named mine "Heavy Dump." Nothing special, but that was it's name.

As we just messed around with corpses we found in the streets, an Admin comes in and asks us what we were doing. He sounded like an adult, so he could be reasonable. A friends just tells him that we were messing around with props. He floats over us and looks over a giant camp a fellow hobo made and says "Whose is this piece of crap?" We all explain it was a hobo camp and we all have our spots to put our camps. I knew something like this was going to happen. He begins smack his lips in the mic in a sassy way and tells us this can't happen. We all groan and ask why. His explanation was this:

"The props are destroying the server. Our players are experiencing lag because of this! " we all shout in a mirmir as he tried to shush us. "And you," he looks at me, "You were minging earlier. I'm sorry, but I can tell you are all minges, so I'm going to have to take away your 'Camps."

He brings out his Phis-Gun and deletes everything we had on our camps. We screamed at him telling him we weren't doing anything! A guy brings out a gun and shoots him and oddly enough, he forgot to turn on God Mode. He was lying on the floor dead as all of us laughed at him for not setting his God Mode on. As we laughed for about 5 minutes, I see his name in the chat saying he banned someone. I notice that one of my fellow hobos were gone. Next thing we know, we were getting banned. This wasn't a simple ban for a week or something like that, we were getting perma-banned. As soon as it got to me, the explanation for my ban was "Minge, Prop Spam, Trying to crash sever and being a d*ck." That's what it said! I reported that to Play Guard.Org and left that be. This got me mad and my 4th unreasonable ban. That what you get when you try to be a hobo!

Have you ever hated a job so much, you didn't care you did a thing or not? Well, I met someone like that in Game Stop. He wasn't a friend or anyone, just a new guy that just got in his job. I know most of the faces of the Employees in Game Stop, one of which is an active player I like to play in CoD, but this guy wasn't anyone I knew. I had to learn how he was and how he acted to talk to him or get a game. I got to the Xbone section and saw him with a freaking Eye Cover things or something... This thing!

Image result for EYe Covers

He was wearing this while he was at work. I could his co-worker doing all the work for him as he sat near the Cash Register. I walk to the PS4 section and hear snoring! He starts snoring as loud as a motor on a Motorcycle. I couldn't find a game, so I thought to pre-order Bioshock Collection. I see other guy walk into the back leaving the guy snoring being our only choice. I wake him up as he snuffs and puff out of his sleep. "What do you want?!" shouts at us. Seriously, why would you ask that at a game shack? "I want to pre-order a game, sir?" I said in a questioning tone.

"Well, what do you want, kid?" I bet I'm older than you or at least 2 years younger than you. I told what I wanted he as he tried to get me to pay the price of the game itself. We tried to talk to him as his co-worker gets him off the Cash Register. He takes over and finishes it for me. As I get into my dad's van and drive away, I look at the receipt and see that he put me on pre-order for CoD Infinite Warfare. A game I have barely any desire to get, all I could do is blame that guy. I thought of telling my dad to go back, but we were already almost home. I told my dad when we got home. He tried to tell me it's a good game, but I didn't want to spend my 5 bucks on a game I don't want.

We waited for about three days and got to Game Stop to switch the pre-orders. I see the guy that co-worker there at the Cash Register from last time with another familiar face. I go to the guy and change the pre-order. I ask what happened to the other dude as he changed the pre-order. He says, "I don't know. I think the manager fired him. I'm kinda glad, though." I bet! He made you and your other co-workers do his work for him. I hope I never see that guy again.

These are the two experiences I had in both the real world and the pretend world. God, I hope you guys have never met anything like this, I would feel sorry for anyone who had to face this. Anyways, I hope you somewhat liked this and 'til next time...

Bioshock: Collection - Review Part One: Too Many Glitches!

I will be talking about Infinite in this review and this is a concerned review. I got this game on my birthday and I thought it would be nice to replay a recent memory, Bioshock Infinite. There is hardly any changes in the game, just a minor graphics upgrade. The challenging AI is still the same and the animation are not tattered with. The only thing that real bothers me in the game is how many glitches and bugs that are in the game! The AI sometimes malfunctions, the animations are sometimes interrupted by running in walls, the detection boxes widen and shorten from time to time, and the one iconic thing in the game is interrupted by a a stupid graphical bug!

Image result for bioshock infinite glitches

This saddens me as a fan to see the game in such a bad state. I mean, the gameplay is still great and the scenes are still awesome to watch, but it gets broken when you are met with a glitch like that! I can take the hilarity of an NPC stuck in a wall, but when the Coin Toss is broken I can't take the game seriously or feel that chill down my spine when it happens. I hope they fix this and I hope they do it quick, because I almost feel like dropping the game and going on with the other games in the collection.

I don't know how they could do this when the game was basically made a few years ago. I mean, just make a port with graphics mods added in as a prize. Instead it had to feel like the game wasn't play tested. Why does that keep happening in the industry.

There isn't much else to talk about in the game. The gameplay is the same and the hardly any mechanics were changed. It's still fun and the story hasn't been touched. The glitches were bad, but the game is still enjoyable. I can understand the AI trouble since they are basically common in the game and can be impossible to fix without another popping up. This is all I have to say about the game and I haven't played the other games yet, so the other games will have their reviews out soon.

Let me know if the glitches are just me, since I haven't read any reviews on it. I would love to see the game fixed and I would love to see that original coin toss again. I hoped you like this review and I hope this gave you some insight of what the remastered version is. 'Til next time...

My Virtual Hero

Image result for video game heroes

I've always saw heroes in games. They were always a guy that saved people. There was nothing wrong with them and did no mistakes. After years of playing, the typical hero bored me. They never interested me. Cloud Strife is great guy, but never really liked his character. Master Chief was like hearing about another Superman origins movie. In a time of low budget and in deep debt, I saw that a game called Dishonored came out. I saw trailers and wanted to buy it. My birthday was near, so I got the game from my Abuelita.

This hero, Corvo, is a father and Lord Protector of the Empress. He hardly sees his daughter and takes as much time as possible to be with her. He was a person of a royal family. He was an actual person. He was accused of a murder he did not commit and was to be executed publically. I saw his mistakes and what he was. I could feel what he wanted in return of his false accusal.

This game gave you a choice, take anger as your route of revenge and kill everyone in your path or find redemption by only blaming the people who put you in your position. I loved that. Your mistakes were also his and they could matter to your story. He was basically you, and that felt so great to be realistic badass (Aside from his powers).

At the time, I was looking for this type of hero. I was going through bullying and social exclusion. People didn't like for reasons that feel so stupid and teachers did nothing. He was my hero. It wasn't my dad like every 11 year-old kid, it was a fictional character that people would say he was cool without people saying their is better. And he was my goal in life, I wanted to be at least similar to him.

Back then, I had suicidal thoughts because of how the school was then. I had no friends because I didn't believe in God and the teachers took to the other kid's side whenever I got punched or blamed for something I didn't do. It wasn't a fun time. Since I found Corvo, he has been my motivation to be better than I was, and I did. Whenever I get stressed, I meditate. Something I learned on my own. It calms me down at times and it helps me with my anger problems. I learned to fight my own fights. I could take care of myself as my depression faded away.

Say what you want about him, he is still my favorite hero. Since the game is getting a sequel probably not to long from when this posts, I can't wait to see him. I love how he's getting a voice and you get to begin anew, by playing as his daughter, Emily. I can't wait to play this game. It has changed me, my life drastically and it did it for the better. I wish I could thank the developers, but I know something like this won't be handed to anyone of the company.

Anyways, I hoped you somewhat enjoyed this. This was fun to write and I hoped this gave you a little insight about me. This game is a big part of my life and it is one my favorites. Again, I hoped you liked this and 'tile next time...

The 5 Things that Games Make Us Cry About...

Image result for emotional gamer

There are a lot of games that make us cry emotionally. Most players believe the best tear jerker is a character dying or someone's best friend leaving, but what makes a tough player cry something a lot more than that. Hello Wandering Traveler and welcome to this 5 things we cry about in games.

5. Comeback of a Long Series

Image result for Fallout 4

Remember the time when we were still giggly about Fallout 4? Remember when the game was announced? How the game looked and how the trailer caught us, it made most fans cry with enjoyment. We couldn't wait to have it in our hands and as the game came out, it gave us such a moment. You felt glad that this game, assumed to be dead, was still living and breathing. Any game can have a long awaited comeback, but can have an uneffective announcement, but when the game is beloved or favorited as much as Final Fantasy or Fallout, then you might get players in tears. And didn't almost cry when that sign said"Welcome Home!"

4. A Relatable, Serious Moment

Image result for bioshock infinite debt

Games can have relatable moments, and most can be as simple as waiting in a line in the DMV, but when the game hits a soft-spot, misty eyes might appear. I have a friend that has a carrying dad. He has 3 kids, one of them is still a little baby and  one is baking in the oven. When he played Bioshock Infinite, he got to the part where Booker gives the girl to wipe his dept away, his daughter. Once booker tries to grab his daughter back and knowing he regrets doing so; he said he almost cried. It was a moment, as he said, that he fears and something he wishes not happen. This got him to not play the game again after completion. The moment of fear and relatability can make a player feel as it it's happening again or for the first time.

Another example would be That Dragon, Cancer. Anyone with a relative or family member that has cancer can relate to the fact that this father has a child born with this terrible disease. God, when I played it, I get some terrible memories of a long lost friend.

3. An Impossible Triumph

Image result for Defeating a boss in Dark Souls

A lot of games don't have this, but when they do this, a win would feel like you won the lottery. In a game like Final Fantasy 7, where you have to defeat Sephiroth, makes you feel like every possible win would be negated to a defeat. As soon as you defeat him, in the seemingly impossible fight, you just wanna scream in victory and cry as if your team in FiFA won. Besides that, a boss or semi-boss in Dark Souls can do the same. Since the game is unspeakably difficult, the triumph feels worth the crying over.

2. A Long Time Friend Gone

Image result for Gears of War 3 Dom

This doesn't mean an instant death of a supposed "Old Friend," I mean a character in a game that has been with you since the first game's release. For example: Dom was a great and loveable person and a relatable character. You felt his pain when his wife was found frail and mindless. You could see him pulling that trigger and the regret on doing so. You just wanted to hug him and comfort him. Only if, because we could have prevent his death. When you saw him die and hear him calling out to his wife, all you could do was watch and shed one tear of respect. A character like him is hard to let go. It's like saying Darrel died in Walking Dead. He was such a beloved character, you couldn't let him go when he died, or if he dies. He might have acted like a piece of nostalgia for the player.

1. The Nostalgia Release

Image result for King's Quest

This is something only big fans can agree on. A big game or a long running game giving you hints that this has carried on from the other. If you watched Steam Train's video, with Dan and Ross, on the new King's Quest game, Danny mentions how he feels sad to see King Graham old. And I can see why he says that. King's Quest V showed us young King Graham living well and being strong, but when you see him in the new addition, he is frail, old and withered, making you feel like so much time has passed. I mean it's been 21 years since the last game. Besides Graham's look, the game shows you the covers of all the games in tapestries after the prologue. I haven't played any of the games except King's Quest VI and seeing the cover in the game almost had a tear run down my face.

I hoped you liked this little list! It was fun to write, although it was small, it was still fun. I had some top 10's planned, but they didn't seem interesting. This was to replace them. Again, I hope you somewhat liked this and could relate to this. 'Til Next time...

Top 5 Game Theories Debunked by the Developers

Image result for Games

When we play a complicated game like Fallout or Zelda, people begin to question and theorise about what might be going on. Some are debunked calmly and respectively, but some are just destroyed by the developers. Hello and welcome to this breakdown of the 5 game theories debunked by the developers.

5. Ana is Not Elizabeth

Image result for bioshock elizabeth

After the game, Bioshock Infinite, people had many questions to ask about the game. The one that people asked was 'Who was Elizabeth's Mother?' People began to take information provided in the game and made a theory that said Ana wasn't Elizabeth, but her mother. There were files on the desk of Booker's office and on the loading screen that said someone was missing and the name only showed one letter: A. People said it was Ana and Booker was crying out her name instead of his daughter. And the girl was suppose to be Ana, aka Booker's Wife, not Elizabeth.

The theory wasn't shown to the developers, but they proved it wrong when they released the episodic DLC, Burial at Sea. Spoilers: when the Booker you're as is revealed as Comstock, he calls Elizabeth Ana. Making everyone who believed this theory look like a fool.

4. Dom and Marcus Brothers?

Image result for Dom and Marcus

A lot people believed that Marcus and Dom from Gears of War was brothers. Since the third installment had Marcus call him a brother after (Spoilers!) he dies. For all we know, Marcus might have considered him a brother. Although, Gears of War 2 has Dom call Marcus' father his dad instead of just calling him simply dad. Players have believed this until an interview with the developers a few months after the Gears 4 announcement, a person asked them if they were brothers. They said they act like brothers, but aren't related in anyway. Still doesn't take away the sadness about Dom's death.

3. Starkiller is Obi Wan's Son

Image result for StarKiller

What I can say about this is very strange and too up front to be true. The famous and stupid (in my opinion) theory was the one that stated Obi Wan had a son and gave him to a fellow Jedi. I don't see how that's possible since Obi's love was killed during Order 66.

For a long while, this was believed to be true and it stuck until the announcement of Force Unleashed 2. The game wasn't showing any story or any evidence to this theory, but the developers had a Q&A with the fans. Why are these things debunked by the developers in person most of the time? Anyways, a person talked about this theory and asked them if they could prove it too be true. They looked at each other and told the fans it was entirely false. Although, it was proven, the fans still take this theory to be true. When will this be dropped?

2. Bigfoot in GTA

Image result for Bigfoot in GTA

People have believed it and searched for him for years in the games. It was almost like the real thing! People searched and searched and found nothing. The woods were cleaned as players thought he was in the sewers or at camps near the forest. They could not find him or any evidence he was in the game. The developers soon announced (After years since the birth of the mystery) that the furry beast with large feet was not in the game. To make this theory to stay alive, people went as far as to mod a Bigfoot in the game and post it on social media.

Although, it was all a hoax in the game, at least the developers thought it would be fun to include him in the newest game.

1. It's Just a Thumbs Up

Image result for Vault Boy

Players have questioned a lot about Fallout, but the one thing that got fans and players alike think was the game's logo of Vault-Boy giving a thumbs up and a wink. People began to take a theory that he was measuring a mushroom cloud with his thumb. This was a way to see if you were save from a nuclear blast or bombing. If the mushroom was bigger than your thumb, you should run. If the mushroom was smaller than your thumb, than you are safe, giving the reason why he is winking.

During a interview with the lead artist and developer of the game, a fan asked him if this theory was true. Since he heard this theory for about three years and (at the time) didn't have a way to tell everyone at home, he sighed and said, "It's just a thumbs up."

This is the list! I hope you somewhat like this. It was a hard one that had to be overly researched as I finished my homework. I was planning to make this a top 10, but couldn't find many debunked theories out there. Again I hoped you liked this read and 'til next time...

What Is No Man's Sky?

Many were promised a game that had you cross the universe in a few seconds, the game was to give us something new for us to play with, the game was to be revolutionary, but upon release the game was a piece of crap. The wasn't a classic cash and grab like Aliens Colonial Marines, it was more a scandal. We were promised something big and we didn't get that. You probably already knew that, huh? Well I've been thinking a lot about the game once I tried it with a friend. Poor guy spent his entire 3-week allowance to get the game.

I will say this very fast: The game was empty, the planets were bland, the animals weren't great, there isn't any enemies and the only fun thing in game is naming everything. I could have made an entire review on this game and saying how much you shouldn't waste your money on it, but I got the game late and struggled to get that review out. It is now in my pile of scrapped projects.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yba9rBskgc0
I hope this image shows...

Anyways, I've watched many videos saying that Hello Games aren't to blame or that the game isn't truly bad. I don't disagree that it's not bad, it anyone's opinion to like the game, but saying that the company was not to blame for the scandal they gave is like give the Queen of England the bird. A certain video I'd like to mention is WhatCulture Gaming's video on Youtube. It is good, but the person talking here isn't entirely right. Here's why!

Image result for No Man's SKy refund

Although, the game was overhyped and most games can be blamed by their downfall by that, but this was more of a (I'll say it again) scandal. The game was shown as a multiplayer game with a space travel element including some robotic enemies to defend against. Upon release, the game was more a Minecraft clone with a slow and boring space traveling mechanic. What we got wasn't what they showed us (Said almost every review and article/blog mentioning the No Man's Sky). It angered most of us and we wanted our money back.

So, why say "We are to blame," when it wasn't our fault we were sheeped to buy the game. It's not our fault when they said that product was going to be something more than it already was. It's like going up to a scam artist and buying a Monkey's Paw off of him and hope it grants wishes.

Image result for no man's sky no multiplayer

No too long after the release, a few players tried to meet up together on a planet, but just found each other in different time zones on that planet. This began to urge a explanation to why this happened. Although, they said they met on the same planet, they didn't technically see each other. PC users began to search the game files to find out the game had no multiplayer function. How are we to blame for this again?

Image result for no man's sky boxes have stickers

Like I said before, we were promised that the game was multiplayer and we would be able to meet in the game. Sean Murray even said we would be able to see each other in the game, but couldn't. For God's sake, the boxes even had stickers over the online gameplay stamp! Again, how are we to blame for this?

I would like to say that the video I show is not to be hated (I mean their videos are pretty great with lots quality), but the video is kind of hacking at the wrong tree. To answer the question that this guy failed answer correctly. The game is a scam that is hardly worth the price it's given. I suggest getting it off eBay for 5 bucks or lower if you want to try out the game.

Anyways, I hope you somewhat enjoyed this little blog. I know I am beating on a dead horse, but I just wanted to do something about the video I'd shown. Not to discriminate them, but to show that most of what he said was technically wrong. Again, I hope you  liked this and 'til next time...

Review - Gears of War 4: A Blast to Play! - 9/10

People have waited for the return of the game that made everyone's day, Gears of War. The game's return has be said to be fantastic and I would like to say I was one of those who said it. The game itself was thought to be dead after Judgement Day's awful gameplay, but after a few developers back in the game and an alliance with another great develop company, it seemed like it never did die. Hello and welcome to this polite review on Gears of War 4!

Image result for gears of war 4

Before I talk and spoil some things about the campaign, I have to talk about the Horde and Versus mode. There is a lot ot talk about and lots of changes that deserve to be mentioned. The horde mode has many changes to it. From the beginning it was just face the wave with the bullets you have and the fists to finish them off. From Gears of War 3, you built machines in specific spots to defend against the ever growing horde. In this edition of Gears of War, you take a mechanical box called the fabricator to a specific spot to build different defences anywhere you please to fight the growing horde of the Swarm and DMB's.

What I like is how you can move a mechanized builder to a safe area. It's a cool idea in my opinion. Instead of planting posts to build in areas that might not work for you. You build a turret anywhere and put spikes in any entryway. It's a creative idea and can make the player think where a certain item can be or can't be in areas.

Because of the Fabricator, it makes ammo retrieval less of a hassle. You can buy ammo from guns or buy different and more helpful weapons to fight with your friends. And on top of that, if a certain weapon is good, but isn't the moment at hand, you can build a weapons rack to store weapons and save them for later. It really has you think of the team if you find a food weapon. You find 3 Boomshots, but not good for a horde of grubs and minor enemies So grab one or more of them and put them on the rack for the rest of the team to rely on.

Other than that, there are some enemies that make you rely on your teammates. The Grinders and Overkill DMBots can force you in a corner and kill you at any moment. On top of that, the large DMBots can go Kamikaze on you and pack a big punch.

The boss rounds can put a player in a corner, but with a well fitted team and well armed players, they can be taken down. And if you think it's too easy, you can raise the difficulty to either Easy, Normal or Hardcore. Hardcore is recommended in my opinion. Sometimes enemies in multiple rounds can be too easy.

And if that gets you killed in-game, then know you can revived when dead. Any brave players left can pick up you tags and return it to the fabricator to bring you back in the fight. A risky mechanic, but it makes your teammates try their best to get you back sometimes.

Versus is very immersive, if you ask me. The gameplay seems changed, but not to a drastic height. The shotgun is still a first resort, but have been a debuffed a little. It takes one shot up close, but only if the barrel is 4 inches from the player. If not, it takes about two shots to kill another player in  semi-close range. The game has made the player go for some other weapons out there in the map like Crossbows, Boomshots or even Overkill Shotguns (Which is the right replacement for the Double-Barrel).

I still see players use Gnashers in the match, but not many use it as a defensive close range weapon. Besides that, chainsaw kills are hard to come by since a single shot can stop you revving up that chainsaw. It makes the player sneak to get a chainsaw kill, which can hardly happen. Sneaking is not am easily masterful skill in GoW.

Other than the gameplay, the maps and modes are great. I've only played the originals like Deathmatch and King of the Hill.  All are the same and still very fun and competitive, but the new ones, like Dodgeball and Arm Race all sound fun. From what I read about them, Dodgeball has the player kill each other with dodgeball rules. You have one life and if you die, a teammate can revive you by killing an enemy teammate. You win by (obviously) killing the entire enemy team.

Arm Race is more of a Kill-to-Up-Your-Arsenal type of game. You and a teammate start with weak weapons, but as you get more kills, you get better weapons. As you up your arsenal, you win by getting kills with every weapon. I would love to play this now. It sounds exciting and fun!

Image result for gears of war 4 ingame loot boxes

Besides all that, there is the card decks. Like most multiplayer games, there is a loot box style item that has you get weapon skins and player skins. You can also get bounties, challenges for the player to get extra ExP, some of which can be challenging.

What I don't like is that they are a random skin and bounty selection when opening a crate. From my experience, you will mostly get greens and blues and maybe a purple here and there. Although, the gamble can be somewhat fun, but getting duplicates can be annoying. I'm talking to you TF2/Overwatch Players.

If you get the right items (or you just got the game on pre-order and bought the Season Pass, which gave you free boxes, then your fine), it can be fun to customize your avatar. Zombie Dom and Zombie Dom and other Zombies are a cool addition to the Gears games. A little bit of a foreshadowing, but cool!

Not to move on, On to the Campaign! Prepare for spoilers!

There is some great inspirational storytelling in the Prologue. You play as a Carmine COG soldier before E-Day and during the Great Emergence. Of course your character dies in every scene, but one. You fight with the Sarge as you feel like there is no hope for you and the human race. Of course, the entire team lives since the EMP blast covers the entire world, killing every locust out there. A new head of the COG military, Jinn, gives  speech supporting the lost COGs during the war. The screen pans out as the player is shown a man watching the news. I ask myself who this was and came to theories. He kind of looked like Marcus' father.

As you continue the campaign, out of the prologue, you take the place as James Dominic Fenix, the son of Marcus Fenix. you find out that Jinn on the news has accused you of taking her people. Of course this is wrong and throws everything at you with new robotic soldiers. You go to your father for help and get him in all this mess.

That moment he is revealed, it was very strange. Not in a bad way, but in an emotional way. It's like looking in a mirror, seeing how much you aged since the first game. I mean, this game came out in 2006. I was 7 at the time. Seeing him was like seeing King Graham in bed, old and frail from the last King's Quest. Seeing him was suppose to make you feel an awesome tingle on your back, but in my opinion, it was very emotional, and seeing him get captured was very suspenseful.

***

Enough was said about the story. The gameplay is great. The shift of weather is amazing and how it made your grenades fly the other way is amazing. The weather is both greatly design and a massive change of game. What I don't like is the Lightning strikes. It's pattern was hard to point and getting away from them is a hassle. Besides that, it's fun.

The cover system has changed, but not badly. If you hold B while running into cover, you can automatically jump over it. The cover physics have made most covers breakable, the AI is more advanced and is different depending on the enemy, and the new weapons fit very well in the game's lore and gameplay. The cover execution is useful in the game. I always hated attacking a guy that covered in front of me.

The game is fun and challenging, but like Horde, I suggest the game in Hardcore difficulty. It's challenging and it forces you to be more tactical. The enemies are smarter than they should be and ammo is more scarce and needed in the game. It's all exciting and fun at the same time as suspenseful it was.

So far, I love this game. It's a great game and it's very memorable.  I will be playing this game for a long time and I can't wait to finish the campaign. And the Horde mode is more than it use to be! Versus mode is great, but not something I'll be playing often, but still very fun. Overall this game is great. If you want to play this game, go ahead and get it! Its got a high price of $60, but to me it's a great game. Plus it comes with the whole collection of the games, even Judgement Day! A good deal if you ask me.

Anyways, I hope you guys somewhat liked this blog. It was fun to write this and all. I hope I got you hooked in the game! It's fun and deserves the praise it gets. Again, I hope you liked this and 'til next time...

When I was about 5 or 8, I was given a hacked Xbox. It played and could read copied games. We knew it was illegal (Even I knew at the time), but when your poor, living in a house that is basically falling apart as you speak and with two begging kids, you make do with what you can. Each year of Christmas or a Birthday, a new game would be given to us. It was a CD disc with the title of the game hand written on it. We knew it was sloppy and it wasn't the real thing, but beggars can't be choosers.

We'd both, me and my sister, would get a game that we wanted. I would get the new FPS Shoot'em-Up and my sister would get the new stealth game (she always loved those games). Although, most of them were either of bad quality or have a different language, we still loved those damn games.

By the time I was 10 or 11, we had 4 spool full of games to play. From the newest Wolfenstein to the best Bioshock, we played these game until we just couldn't play them any more. Well, since the update, that was the case.

An update came out on the 360 and basically fried the chip that allowed copied games to be played on it. To us (And looking at our large collection of games), it was like the Red Ring of Death. We had nothing to play besides Sonic 06, Fallout 3 and an old Genesis with Streets of Rage on it. Although, the Genesis was fun, we didn't want to play those games and we couldn't get the others back by buying them! As soon as we cried out to our dad about this, he called his brother-in-law to fix it.

He was the one who hacked this, we thought he could fix it. We couldn't just walk or drive to his house, he lived 8 hours away from us. Since he proposed to my aunt not too long before, my Abuelita and Gramps was going to visit to congratulate the two. We asked them to take the Xbox to go fix it as the went to the Airport. This would be a 3 day trip for them as we waited for this be resolved.

Image result for waiting

The trip was longer than we expected. It was 5 days until they came back. My heart was pounding at the time. I didn't want my only possession to be useless in my home, the only valuable thing we had. My dad kept telling me to wait and wait and hope they get it fixed. The thought of losing my 360 lingered in my mind as we sat in front of the TV at home, the only entertainment we had. Thoughts of the 360 getting stolen on the streets or it being lost in the luggage line in the Airport. I was massively depressed for almost an entire week.

The day came when the arrived, we even waited at my Abuelita's house for them. I came to the window pointing towards the garage constantly as we waited. We watched either Big Bang Theory while we waited or How I Met Your Mother. My depression lifted for a while as we watched Ted and Sheldan do their things that made us laugh. What made it greater was when I saw that old car we called a boat going in the driveway. "They're here!" I shouted as I ran to the garage door.

I see my Gramps with a stern look on his face as he wore his fedora. I would ask him repeatedly if it was fixed or not. He didn't even look at me at the moment. I looked to my Abuelita and asked her thinking she might of known. She just silently hugged me and went into the house from the garage.

I was curious of what happened. I watched them as they brought their luggage in, waiting to see that white box out of the 60's style green bags as they passed by, but nothing. My gramps closed the trunk without anything in his hands. I looked at him as he was passing by me, he just gave a short smile and patted my head a bit.

I walk to the living room with my gramps as he started to talk to my dad in spanish. God, I wish I was able to speak it. It sounded like they were talking about something important. I listened, not knowing what they were say. My dad mid way in the conversation started to say no in a sad way repeatedly. I was worried and reluctant to ask them what happened, but I didn't want to interrupt.

As soon as they finish, my gramps leaves to his room. I asked my dad what happened and he told me that the 360 was gone. I asked what happened to it and he tells me that he didn't know and still to this day, I don't know what happened to it. I question myself what they could have done to it, but nothing has been revealed. My mom says that they might have given it away at the Airport so they didn't have to go through the hassle of getting it searched and my dad says they sold it for money to give to my aunt as a gift, but still it remains a mystery. I ask them, but they don't answer or avoid the question.

This depressed me so much, but my Abuelita said she would replace it. Since my Birthday was around, she and my dad would buy a new one with games added. I was lucky since I got the Limited Edition R2D2 complete with the Kinects and a Star Wars game to go with the motion control device. Since then, I enjoyed buying a game. It was more of an exciting thing since you had it in you hands and it was the real thing. I kept it for about 4 years and sold it, including the games, for the extra money for a new Xbox One that I still have today.

Well, I hope you somewhat like this little story! What experience have you had that was similar to this? I would love to hear something worse than this and what do you think happened to my Xbox? You can tell me, but 'til next time...

Robotic cloning is hard. It's not an easy work as the schools make it in the federation sector of space. We worked on these things, planting harddrives of what we wanted on them. A handyman's robotic sequences. Maid bots for those disabled to clean for themselves.Creating more numbers for war. Someone's memories. Religion made this an illegal action of business. We still do for those who do believe this could help or of business

A man of high power came to us to build an army. He wasn't a man, but one of an old model of we made long ago. Unit 63. I could tell, his robotic eyes were marked with the number. He wanted an army of ambitious intentions. An army to only obey his command. He left with the words "Make them like me," as he left a limb of his unit type. An arm. Slim like a human's, but stronger and sturdier.

We did as we were told as I handed the arm to one of the command bots of ours. Make them like me, he says. He didn't specify how many he wanted, but he wanted an army. We will give him 15 hundred units. A fitting number for a platoon of warriors.

Image result for futuristic Robotic building station concept art

Constructed the models from the arm as they got built. The parts and blueprints were made and printed. Just screws and bolts for repairs. A repair kit if want to call it. I made several of them for each droid.

The first one made was a scrap of the rest of them. Missing only his right arm. I kept him. He seemed spacial to me. A Dorid knocked on my door; seemed it was coming to give me a message from my former client. "A word from Mr. Noigel," it said as oil and rust covered my face and shirt. I he gave me a letter, sealed in a wax stamp. I opened to see a small software device inside. "A memory chip for a general, to command the troops," it said. I carefully said what I could. It ran off with a polite bow as it flew away in its ship.

A memory chip? "I shall do what he says as long as I get the money," I thought to myself. As soon as the production was done, I grabbed the arm from the fabricator and planted it carefully in the first and only mistake made by the production line. I put the chip in his software and he woke with a gasp. "Where am I?" he said.

"You? You are home."

There was trouble along the galaxy, but the federation didn't know what it was. Jaelen and her team were put on a mission to investigate this. Sadly, it took the federation three Earth days to find out the problem before they could save the residents and the planet's inhabitants. A planet burnt of life, the federation believe who did this were the leeches years ago when Ashley and her sister, Talya.

The team's first steps on the planet as their carrier floats off orbit were frightening to almost the entire team. They were standing where what used to be a city. Z-list grasped the mouthpiece of his helmet as he observed the area.

"It looks whoever did this, left," Exber said quietly. There was no trace of any attacker, no footsteps, no weapon marks anywhere. Just the burnt ground and the ashes of the dead in the air.

"What do you think it was, Jaelen?" Z-List said. "A bomb? I mean, it would take days to scorch an entire planet like this." Jaelen was silent as she stared quietly into the ground.

They were sent with weapons, which was meaningless since there was no threat, yet protocols had to be followed. The team searched the ruined city as they split up. As Jaelen stood waiting for a new sign of who was responsible, she finds scorched bodies and skeletons on the floor. The faces of dead families, looking as if they were grasping for one another. Jaelen tried to look away, but the bodies were everywhere. "Why would someone do this?" she whispered as she came across a female body holding a child in her hands. Her helmet was being fogged from her heavy breathing. She had been through hard times, but the sight of countless bodies overwhelmed her.

She tried looking for survivors or any signs of life, but all she found were ash piles and clouds of smoke emitting from ground. Trees slanted near the ground as most of which still had the embers burning inside of them and others with clouds of smoke floating off of them. She looked towards the motherly body again and saw the child with an untouched stuffed bear in her hands. She couldn't hold herself any longer. The weight of her emotions, having her plunge her knee against the ground of ash

She took her helm off as she pulled her necklace to reveal her cross. She grabbed it and prayed for her and the lives of which passed. She was shortly interrupted by Ralph's call.

"Jell. Come in Jell?"

"What is it, Pi?" She quietly said.

"I believe I found something." He sounded as if he was concerned. Jaelen could tell that he was serious about his findings.

She stood despite the heavy emotions she carried. "Where are you?"

"To the right of you, 30,000 feet."

She sprinted towards him as she held her cross necklace the entire way. She was still concerned for the dead she came across, her feet stomping on the ashes of what use to be homes, floated in the air as it wept in her face. Ash filled her lung during her departure to Ralph. The ash smelled as if it was still burning, causing her lungs to burn and harsh coughs escaped her throat. The dead stared at her, the soulless and eyeless heads turned towards her."What did you find?" she said as she came to a halt, panting from exhaustion.

"I found this shard of a weapon," he held up a golden barrel that seemed to have broken off.

"What do you think it is?" Jaelen said. Ralph had no helmet, but a mask that only revealed his brown eyes as they were watering while the ashes made them bloodshot.  He was shaking in fear. Turning his head left to right as he went into thought.

"Possibly an unregistered race, but the weapon this barrel is from looks too ancient to be used today. It is too obsolete to be used by any form of military or government."

"What ammunition did it use?"

"Flammable rounds. But to do this type of destruction, the fire would have to be massive."

The barrel seemed to be fragile. The gold plating wasn't scarred from the fiery attack, but the breaking point on it looked like it was caused by force. Jaelen noticed a bullet stuck in the barrel end of the weapon. She grabs the weapon and finds the engravings, Noigel. "Jell," Ralph whispered. "Look over there. Life!"

In confusion, Jaelen looked and saw a broken wall of a building with an untouched tree surrounded by green grass behind it. This amazed her. The only beauty amongst the city of ruin. The sight almost gave some light in Jaelen's heart.

"Jaelen! Jaelen, come in!" Z-List shouted in the comms. He almost made Ralph and

"What is it this time?"

"We found a body!"

"I think we've seen them all, Z-List"

"This isn't any of the species on this planet." Jaelen's eyes widened as she and Ralph had to rush to the unidentified body.

The federation set up a press meeting to explain the happened on the planet. The people of the galaxy are afraid that the federation's protection is false. The leader of the federation military forces, Admiral Silas, must speak to the press and calm the people in their horror on their planet.

"How do I look, Ashley?" Admiral Silas said as he was making sure he dressed properly. He constantly straightened and unstraighten his tie.

"You look handsome, Admiral." Ashley said as she wore her armor and helmet.

"You sure?" he said. "Is the color proper? I hope the other races don't take the color offensively." He seemed panic, but at the same time confident to speak to the people.

"There is no need to panic, Admiral." He interrupted her as she spoke.

"Please don't call me Admiral. You can call me Joseph."

"I thought your name was SIlas."

"Middle name. What time is it, Ashley Dear?"

"It's 10 minutes until the meeting. As I was saying, there is no reason to panic. You are a powerful and respectful man, Joseph."

"Thank you for the kind words, but I just wish not to offend the people out there. Have you seen what happened when I wore red? The Sentrafelli went mad when I talked about their people's intel retrieval." He began to fix his hair as he look longingly at it in the mirror.

"Why are you fixing your hair, Joseph, when you're going to put your helmet on?" His fingers began to slowly stroke between each strand of hair.

"It's to keep my hair away from my face while in the helm." He began to lick his palm and slide it against his hair to keep his hair how he wanted it. He began to take a small look at Ashley to see her emotions, but showed only the helm that covered her face. Although covered, he could still tell her emotions. "What's the matter, Darling?"

"What was that sir?"

"Darling, your face may be covered, but I could see what's under your mask." Ashley began to look away from the Admiral.

"I just worry, that's all."

"About what?" the Admiral said.

"I rather not talk about it, sir," an alien woman peaked through the door to tell the Admiral "Your press conference is in 2 minutes, sir." The Admiral grabs his helm and puts on gently.

Ashley picked up her rifle resting in a corner and placed in the holster on her back. Her mission is to protect the Admiral. A mission she hasn't done since her training. She followed the Admiral as he speed walked to the halls which led to the podium on stage.

As the Admiral walked to the podium, the crowd there roared with questions and camera drones flashing their lights as they took pictures of him. Ashley stood by to make sure no one tries to abuse the Admiral on stage. One of the camera drones flew too close to the Admiral almost blinding him as it took pictures. Ashley walked towards it and grabbed it as she ripped the flash off the drone and threw it in the air only for to float in the same spot near the Admiral, but without the blinding flash.

The Admiral raised his hand to quiet the crowd and began to speak. "We have seen the havoc of the planets these past years.," he said in a powerful voice. "Riots, bombings, even militia attacks. Any questions on these topics will be ignored for they are being investigated as we speak, and we hope they will be dealt with." The crowd in front of him started to ask questions again in a loud uproar. Each had one hand raised as their other carried a recorder or notepad.

The Admiral points to one of the reporters in the crowd to have him say what needs to be answered. "The most recent act was the scorched planet," the reporter said. "From what we hear, the people believe it was an act of the Heltic Federation." The Admiral, although with a helmet on, he seemed disturbed by what this man said. "Do you have anything to say about this?"

"What I can say is that we are not trying to hurt our people, we are trying to protect them. We swore an oath to protect anyone who decided to join the Heltic Federation," the Admiral's voice sounded angry. "We were terrified as much as the people are. One of our task forces are on the job to investigate what caused the planet's instant destruction." More began to yell in a mirmir of questions. The Admiral was scanning for person to ask another appropriate question. He points at the humanoid alien with the drone by his side.

"With the recent destruction, we all had to deal and fear what might come next, do you have an idea or a theory of who or what race is doing this?" The Admiral looked down for a second to think about what he should say.

"I am not allowed to accuse anyone of this or even an entire race. When we find out who did this, we shall share that information to the public." The crowd started the loud mirmir of questions again, with the Admiral looking for another person to ask a question. He points to Mobarian alien twins.

"Rumors say that the poison used during the Karian Riot was an attack from the federation," the twin nodded as he spoke.

"What is your point, sir?" His voice sounded a bit annoyed as he listened to these two reporters.

The other twin stepped up with a baggy and began to speak. "Our 'point,' Admiral, is that the chemicals from the poison was of federation grade, as shown in these documents." He handed the Admiral the documents.

"Where did you find these?"

"That is none of your concern, sir. What I'd like to ask is, what is your purpose in this riot and why are you causing these attacks?"

The Admiral stared longingly into the documents that were handed to him. He pulled up his hand and held out one finger to signal them to wait.

"These are fake." The entire crowd turned to the twins.

"What do you mean, Admiral?"

"These aren't real documents. The element shown isn't even a poison. It's a healing component used in the medkits we supply our soldiers and task force members." The twins faces began to look frightened as the entire crowd stared them down. "If you wish to frame me or my men, then get something real or do some research." The Admiral begins to take off his helmet to show his face to them. "This meeting is over. I hope for the best of all of you." he signals to Ashley to get guards to arrest the twins for falsely accusing a higher man.

As she began to walk to the guards outside the room, a gunfire sounded. The guards tried to see where the gunfire came from as Ashley looked where it hit. The reporters ran outside the building as everyone saw the Admiral laying on the floor with a red pool around his head.

My Thoughts on the NX

What I can say about this, is that there is something wrong with it. I'm excited for it and can't wait to see it's capability, but seeing what it looks like was such a downer. I know many will say otherwise, I'm looking at you personal friend I can't name. Hello and welcome to this little thought blog on what I think about the NX

The Nintendo Switch? Who thought this was a great Idea? It's like begging the fans to come back and switch from the Xbone/PS4 to this thing. After watching the video, It seemed like you can take off the controller part of controller and put it on a small screen to make it portable. If the console is going to be like this, you don't want to break the latches on that, because you're f*cked if that happens. To add to that, I want to know if the console is going to have strong plastic. I mean, if you drop the controller, won't the thing fall apart? I don't know, but I just don't like that.

And just another design opinion, this doesn't scream Nintendo. If I bought this for my imaginary son, he would question what this thing is before he notices the Nintendo above the word "Switch." I mean, the N64 was a new generation console that revolutionized gaming as we knew it. The Gamecube made moms love the console and played games on all consoles. The Wii made motion controls and inspired the VR. The Wii U made family gaming fun or more competitive. This? This looks like a "PC" console of the future.

Besides that, the console seems like it could be the same as the PS4 or Xbox One. I mean, we don't know if the console is able to do that, but as the articles say and PC players knowing the technology, it can do that. Who knows, though? This could be the GameCube of today. I would love to play Skyrim on the go with the highest def as I visit my familia in Mexico.

Other than those things, I am sceptical about this. I will try this thing out, if not buy it, but I am going at it with the most criticism I have. Anyways, before you go head on in the comments at me, I do not hate Nintendo or the console, I am just judging it, like anyone would. I hope you somewhat liked this and 'til next time...

There is a lot of games out there that I love to bring to a friends house or to a special event. I love to play a game with a person next to me sometimes, since it gives me a feeling that I know my opponent or partner. Games like Gears of War, Halo, Call of Duty are the ideal games I like to bring to a friend's house or to just play with physical friends. Hello and welcome to this CWC about the stories of our experiences of Local Multiplayer.

The Challenge

Image result for Smash Bros brawl

This is actually a blog I wanted to post a long time ago. There were... Some problems and was scrapped. It was about my first experience with Smash Bros.. It was a long day of awful teachers and kids being kids. I was kicked in the stomach in the bathroom because I was fat and dumb. That's what the kids told me! There was more, but I can't remember. Anyways, the teachers tried to find out who was the guy who started the fight, but couldn't find him. It was obviously not me, and seeing the principal was an oblivious good-for-nothing, I knew she would believe that I was the one who did it. I was suspended instead of the other kid as my dad angrily picked me up.

He asked me questions to see if I was the one who landed the first punch, I just had to show him the large bruise forming on my stomach and arm to believe I was beaten and not in a fight. As we went home, my dad told me he was going to a friend's house. I knew this meant I would see one of my best friends, Desiree. She had Smash Bros. Brawl, Mario Kart and a few other games I wanted to play with friends. I could hardly remember most of the games we played, I remember helping her in Resident Evil 4, but that's all. I think she beat me a few times in Mario Kart, but I'm not sure. The only thing I could remember the most was the time when she put in Smash Bros. This was the first time I'd ever play Smash and, to be honest, this is the first I've heard of this game.

She gave Wii Remotes to me, my sister and her dad. He said he was a good player in the game, so I was eager to see what he had to throw at us. Four Players, No Items, 3 Stocks, Smash Ball. A basic Tournament rule. She chose Solid Snake, I chose Mario, my sis chose Kirby and Desiree's dad chose Pikachu. Hyrule Castle was the stage. The Announcer began to count from three to one as the big bolded letters saying "GO!" flashed on the screen. I was in the bottom area of the map as everyone else was above me.

I stayed as my sis fought Pikachu, spamming the Up-B on him. Desiree began to launch a combo on my sis as she launched her out, losing her stock. He dad started to run away right towards me. I panicked and  pressed the B button on the remote as a bubble appeared around me. I blocked her hit! I held it down seeing if I could walk with it, but instead I started to dodge. I stayed like that until she grabbed me during a dodge and spiked, having me lose a stock. She began to do the same to all of us until the end of the game. We lost our stocks at 60% damage as she lost one at 200%.

Her dad began to ask us questions, asking if we played this game before or if we knew what we were doing. We said no and told her to teach us the basics of the game. She laughed as her dad commented on her letting us in the game not knowing what we were getting into. She showed us which button does the specials, which did punches and what Smash Attacks were. They were complicating, but I understood while my sister, too young to really get the hold of the game, silently nodded, not knowing what she said.

She began the match again, but without her dad playing. I chose the same character as she chose her favorite character, Link. My sis played as Peach this time. I took what she told us by heart, trying to use it to beat her. My sister stumbled mostly: falling off edges, forgetting which button did what. She surprisingly survived and took the most damage without losing a stock. I began to mix the Shield Dash with the Smash Attacks. I found out that was pretty effective. His Up-Smash did the most damage so I utilized that the most. I managed to take a stock off of her. I was her primary target and she was mine. I just had to keep the stocks higher than hers and I might win this.

The fight began to be more intense. She used her Smash Attacks more and began to hit me more than I did. She was challenging me! This was the first time I've fought some like this, having to put my all on someone without having my dad telling me to go easy on her. This was the most fun I was having in my life. Since I didn't have internet to play with someone online, this was the most memorable moment of my childhood life.

My sister watched us fight as we fought, waiting aggressively for one us to hit 100 damage for a suckerpunch. We would hit accidentally sometimes as we constantly fought for what felt like hours. We had 1 stock left as my sis had only 2 left with the hundred damage of us hitting her. She began to fight more aggressively, I could see it in her eyes as she played; focused, emotionless and non-responsive. I tried my best dodging each of her attacks. It wasn't working well. My hands began to sweat on the remote. I was excited and afraid at the same time. I could hardly keep the palms of my feet on the ground. She started to sprint towards me as a Pitfall seed fell above me. I thought items were off! She grabbed and threw it at me the same time I threw a fireball, making her flinch. This game me more time as she charged her smash attack. I held the be button as I saw my sister right next to me trying to steal her kill. She, surprisingly, started to charger her attack. I finally broke free as they both were still charging. I dashed behind my sister as her character missed and charged towards Desiree, missing her as well. Her smash attack hit my sis causing her to lose a stock and leaving her to wait for the right time again. I still had some time and did a quick smash, having her launch into the sky and losing her final stock.

I screamed in victory and boasted a bit as my sis launched me out of the screen as well. I was silent for a moment and took in the defeat by my sister. We both laughed though. My sister just dropped the controller on the floor and left inside to go to the bathroom.

Multiplayer Experience

This wasn't my first multiplayer experience, but it's my first FPS game multiplayer Experience. A group of friends I had came to my house and wanted to play the Gamecube we had. At first, they didn't even know what it was! They were use to the Wii and the 360 or PS3, that the Gamecube seemed like I had an Uncle who worked at Nintendo. They looked at the games we had and saw Timesplitters. Luckily I had three controllers for it. We started the game up and as they tried to figure out where the controllers plugged into and what to do with the buttons. I went to multiplayer and turned on some bots for some challenge. It was Team Death Match with my friends on one team and me being on the other.

Me being Handyman and my friends being two Zombies, we fought in the game as they tried their best to take what they know about the newer games and trying it on this. They managed, but they kept dying. That was fun! Although, they left angry that they didn't have a Gamecube or that they didn't have the game. A few days later, they come to my house and sneak the game into one of their jackets, not knowing the game wasn't compatible on the 360. Some friends. I found the game in the dumpster outside of our apartment.

My Sister's TF2 Experience.

TF2 has been dear to my heart for a long time and after my dad replaced his computer with a faster one, he gave me the old one, having me introduce my sister to a game she might like. I downloaded the game on my dad's PC (with my dad's permission) and showed her the classes. She tended to like the Scout more than the rest. She liked how he was a Boston D*uchebag with a shotgun. In her words, "He fits my personality."

I got her prepared and ready for a private match between me and her. She didn't like it too much since this would be her first time playing it, but I got her to keep play. I chose the Soldier with the Blackbox in hand and a Gibus on my head, while she had a default Scout. regular Cap. The Point game, perfect for her class! She hears me rocket jumping as I see her standing in the middle of the point. I rocket jump one more time, hovering above her with my shovel equipt. She looks around for the sound and sees me on the sky. She moves just a little but to the left, having me kill myself with fall damage. I should have looked closely to my health. She laughed and wanted to keep playing. She started to get the hang of it as I let her practice getting points and killing me. I still gave her a challenge, but not my all. She was pretty good for a newbie!

I walk to her room as a victory screen on her monitor flashed. I asked her if she wanted to take this online. With this being a new thing and new internet, she quickly said yes. I put on a pub and joined her in the game. She was doing good. P2P players were dying left and right as I got only 7 kills and 10 deaths even with her on the team. She was a what I'd like to call a Suicider. She stared at the face of death as she ran into Heavies and groups of Soldiers. She managed to take out two Level 3 Sentries at the same time! I got her in the game and there was no going back. I joined her in most and prefered to fight on the opposite team as her. Sibling Rivalry was solved with a single public match and anytime we fought, we resulted to either yelling, ignoring each other or TF2.

The game is long gone with her since PC gaming to her was no longer fun after we moved, leaving the second computer. I still play, but now it's without her. I still have fun, but I still remember the times we played on together.

Welp, that's all I have to tell! I hope you liked this and I hope this qualifies as a CWC. These are my favorite games to play locally and they mean a lot to me. These stories were fun to write and I hope you enjoyed them or related to them. Again, I hope you somewhat liked this and 'til next time...

Helping My Sister Play...

It's usually fun for people to help their siblings with something you love. For me, it's harder than cutting you possessed hand with a chainsaw! my sister has found the game Dishonored amusing after watching me play the game for about 2 years now. I let her have the controller to see how she would react. Hello and welcome to this little story!

I watched her play for a bit and getting use to the controls, so I leave thinking she might not need me (like usual). I was so wrong. I sat on my bed, so comfortable, so relaxed, I pulled out my school Chromebook and watched something from Markiplier or maybe something from WhatCulture. I hear a knock on my door as a little confused face peeks out of the door with the controller in her hand. We looked at each other for a second in silence. I almost laughed as she said "Can you help me?" in the lowest voice she could give me. With the slight anger I had in me, I got up with a sigh and got into the living seeing that she hasn't gotten past the opening of the game.

My mouth dropped as I see she had done nothing since I left for what felt like half-an-hour. "How do I knock these guys out?" she said as I look at her with the most disappointed face I could give her. She goes to demonstrate that she can't do it by walking behind a guy. "I don't want to kill him, what should I do?" she said as two icons telling her which buttons did what in the game: a picture of a guy stabbing his victim in the neck and the other with a guy choking his victim out. I told her to pause and showed her that the game shows you which button to press. She quietly said okay and went back in the game.

Alone and relaxed again in my room, I pull my Chromebook out and continue watching the video. About a few seconds later, I see that she has almost gotten to the end of the tutorial part where you have to plant the bomb on a door. "What do I have to do?" she says to me as a marker marks her waypoint. Without putting her to shame, I just asked her if she got a bomb, she said yes. Then I told her to walk to the large door. Knowing that this would go on for quite a while, I sat down the torn Lay-Z-Boy we had. She plants the bomb as the words, "RUN!" pop up in front of her and countdown from 5 to 0 appears above the screen. I tell her to go away from the door, but ignores me as she watches the screen, I scream quietly to her to move away from the door as the countdown hits 2. She says "What?" me as the bomb explodes and kills her, giving her first death screen.

"What happened?" she asks me as I face-palmed myself pretty hard. I told her what happened and asked her if she saved recently. She quietly sighs in depression as the games starts from the cell. I stayed to make sure that won't happen again and gave her advice of the game. She followed... Most of them...

She killed twos guys on the way, but when does the tutorial ever make a difference in the game's story? She knocked out the last guy at the door and told her to place all the bodies in the room with the door out. She did so as I told her to back away from the bomb once she plants it. She backs ways as the door explodes having enemies from left to right firing pistols at her. She freaks, but I tell to calm down and jump in the moat. She jumps as bullets flew and missed, she swam all the way to a sewer entry and got out of the first tutorial level. I gave her a high five as the loading screen appeared.

I left again, thinking that she might be able to manage the rest of the game. Trust me, I'm wrong most of the time when I'm talking about my sister. I thought to do something else in my room. I felt a little bit of inspiration in me so I thought it would be nice to set my collectibles up in different ways. I get a Gundam my dad built in a specific position and tried to get it to stand as I hear the door slowly open with my sister head peeking out with a confused look on her face. "What's the best way to kill rats?" she said as I put the Gundam laying down on my table. I walked to the door and told her, "For now on, I'm going to be right by your side when you play that game," she tried to interrupt me, but couldn't. "You play when you an I are finished with homework, unless you want no help." She quietly nodded as we walked to the living room.

Luckily she didn't die, because she said she didn't save. I quickly told her to and told her pick up a body and throw it towards them. She questioned it, but she did it anyways. She watched the rats eat the corps for a second as she started to walk around the corpse. "You can walk over them." She tried it as the rats kept eating the body. Like the girl she was (don't mean this to be offensive), she kept saying ew repeatedly. As that happened, I told her that a good way to get rid pf them is with the Wind Blast Power at level 2.

After all that, she finally got to the point of getting Emily back in The Golden Cat. I told the ins and outs of the game and where are the best ways to play through the game. She said I was a mega nerd of the game, but that was only a compliment in my ears. She just saved Emily and plans on finishing the game this weekend.

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this somewhat! What game have you helped your siblings with? You can tell me, but I gotta go. Again, I hope you enjoyed this and 'til next time...

CWC: My Dangerous Pet Peeves About Games

Everyone has them, you can't deny it. Even I have them: the not-so-perfect guy you know as StarterPack. I don't have many in real life. I don't get angry when you don't put something in a certain area and position. I do have it in games. I love gaming. It's an art that I want to perfect myself and I'm a big critic with games, so I can judge a game harshly because of a small recurring mistake or glitch. Hello and welcome to this discussion about my Pet Peeves in games and it's culture.

Pervy Devs

Image result for overly sexy gaming characters

I hate it when a serious game has men with awesome body-covering armor, but the woman character has to have the under-boob action with an outfit not fitting for a battle. I know this is a feminist thing to say, but I like logic. When the game has the Elf chick wear a slightly armor thong and skimpy breastplates and has the 300 defense. There's barely anything there! And when a girl fights with in a fighting game with nothing but a string covering partial parts and a shoulder guard is just so stupid. What woman in these worlds are thinking, "Oh! I should wear this outfit my ex-boyfriend bought me from that Extreme Porn Store and Wears. That's good battle armor!" That's why I like Skyrim's armor sets: they don't make the woman so skimpy or sexy in anyway.

Awful Lip-Sink

Image result for Skyrim dialogue

I don't mind a silent character. I think they're cool, but when a model has bad lip movements, I just want to slap myself. God! Make it look believable at least! I know it's hard to put some complicated software in an already large game, but at least form it to look right! Most of the time I like to leave the game mute to lip-read them as if they don't know how to speak, but can make noise. Sometimes, The mouths stay open for so long that it just looks like they're yelling.

I can understand if the game is large like Skyrim or Fallout, but when the game is small and have enough room for some speech and lip sink programming. Bioshock Infinite bothers me sometimes. When Elizabeth throws you something, watching her talk just erks me. What makes me laugh is how the Lutece Twins have finely tuned lip sink, but somehow Elizabeth just moves her mouth up and down.

Post Launch Glitches

Image result for Horse glitch skyrim

I love it when a game has a funny glitch, but when it's easy to access the glitch, it hard to say it's funny to the developer. Glitches after the title's launch is embarrassing to the developer and I can feel them. I hate seeing them so much and sometimes it destroyed the game's serious atmosphere (if it has one). Skyrim is a good example, the game had some weird glitches in the game. While some were fun, but most were weird. Who has ever gotten the game and found loaded in a room with no floor and whenever you into that grey void, you loaded back where you entered? I have many times. They fixed it after the game's launch, but only made it that happen not so often.

What really hurts me is when the developers don't care for the game or the game is a remaster. Bioshock Infinite is no joke with this one. I got the Collection and found an animation bug where if Elizabeth tosses a coin, the coin stays in mid-air between you and her until the animation where you catch it ends. I hate that! you ruined it! The most infamous part of the game and favorite thing to happen was bugged!

When the Game Talks to the Player

Image result for zelda navi giving you tutorial on how to use the sword

I love games that teach you the new game controls and mechanics. It's cool how developers can do in a small and great game. But when they go out of the way to tell you, the player, what to do, instead of the character. "Press B to do this!" "Got to the Inventory by pressing Start!" "You should level up before attacking this enemy!" Talk to the character I'm playing as, not me! I don't hate meta situation. They make me giggle a bit. But seeing an In-Game character tell the player directly makes the whole game atmosphere break. Why can't the devs tell us through tutorials and messages like in Dark Souls or Final Fantasy.

The Fandom

Image result for gaming fandom

I don't like fandoms much. They just erk me! Sometimes, fandoms are really fun and they aren't that bad, but most are just aggressive, cringey, hateful of anything else in general. I went to the Undertale fandom page and thought it might be fun, but there was so many little kid drawings and kids discussing whether or not Sans is Ness. I went to the Skyrim fandom page and found everyone dead and silent about the game. There was hardly anything posting and the one guy that kept posting was a picture of a Khajiit ***. Gross if you ask me. I've never liked fandoms, but I started my own on Skyrim. You can join right here, but I started this thing a long time ago and have been on it lately. You can ask to join if you want.

https://plus.google.com/u/1/communities/102964868675047243652

Besides the cringey fandoms, what they do can cause some controversy on the game, show or whatever it is they like. Stereotypes and cliche fans can be called out upon anyone who likes what they like. Fandom is a controversy in of itself and I rather not be apart of what they do. I still encourage you to join my fan club, though....

Franchise Destruction

Image result for Battlefront

When I say Franchise Destruction I mean when a company takes an old franchise and does whatever the hell they want with it. Games like Battlefront or Rogue Squadron are victims to these crimes that haven't escaped from their corporate hands. Sometimes they can be great, but hearing a new game from my favorite franchise is going to be owned by EA or Ubisoft is going to make me wanna punch someone in the face. when Sierra was bought out by one of Blizzard's side companies, they fired everyone from the company, hired new people and started to make generic games with little promise. There was a sequel to King's Quest waiting to happen in the early 2000's but never got to see the light of day.

A more recent action was Elder Scrolls Online. I had some promise to this game. I thought this was going to be good, but my thoughts and dreams were crushed when I downloaded the game. First, the game took forever to download. Second, the game was so small. Third, nothing seems fun without buying something. And last, but not least, Tamriel isn't even fully accessible! I hate it when companies do this, even Bethesda's side company, Zenimax!

Locked Content from F2P Players

Image result for TF2 hats

TF2 has an exceptional system for F2P players, but most games like to make the player spend all their money on the game to progress it's story or see what the hell is in that box. Games like Elder Scrolls Online and Destiny bother me so much with that. You want a lot of gold? You gotta do lots more missions that or buy the Gold Digger's Pack for $50! Oh, you want that exclusive piece of armor? Buy some Silver! That will only cost you $30! You want to access more of the world? Your gonna have to buy that season pass for $50. We know that we won't be releasing more content for it, but we need to raise the sales for the season pass!

I just don't like it when developers rely on the player willing to pay a large amount of money to progress in a game or to get some crazy item for better content or gameplay. It has been my hatred upon gaming since my discovery of Clash of Clans.

Unnoticeable Threats

Image result for Unnoticeable threats in games

I hate it when games throw all they have at you. If the game has some great mechanics, it can be fun and challenging, but if it's like a bat whacking you in the face while behind a door, not in your line of vision or showing on screen. It's understandable if it's a pattern, can easily be avoided or if you can stop it with a game mechanic, but if the game punishes you for no reason, then I will get mad. I mean how are you gonna see that!? How are you suppose to avoid it?! Famous words from Arin Hanson!

Well those are the few Pet Peeves I can share with ya without making you think I'm weird. I hope you can relate or understand and I most importantly hope you liked this! This was fun and expect a Top 10 soon (If I can put it together right). Again, hope you liked this and 'til next time...
