The Story of Jeramy: Part Seven

I look after a long while of looking at the sun pass by, the farm is larger than it was, field were longer, there were different Joraal in the farm fields picking wheat. Looked to the Joraal cabins, Khal`En was in his bed, laid down. Patches of white hairs grew on his fur, he had aged. His milky eye had a dark dot in the pupil, and his other was going blind. He reached under his bed and grabbed his box. It was light, he thought, his son must have taken it.

I looked to the master’s cabin as it was larger in scale, I saw his son taller and almost fully grown, reading the book of legends. He smiled while reading it He spoke to himself while he was reading, it was the legend of Keddreck, the Metal Giant:

“In a far away land, the gods have made their beast of warning, beyond the great passage, there sat monster who hunted for those who were weak, beasts that roamed the land, leaving their prey lost in their mind, but the one that felt no darkness was the kind, nieve giant named Keddreck. In a castle he lived, ruined in stature, but it was his home. He lived in a peaceful place of beauty and wonder, flowers of rarity grew near him and animals of majestic stature roamed his castle. He lived happily and sound, but there was something missing, something that felt odd. He was lonely, although there were animals for him to see and admire, but they did not respond to his say or call. They only roamed as he cried for their attention. He plead to the gods to fill this emptiness, for days he stayed outside of his castle, praying and pleading to them as moss and leaves grew on his shoulders and legs. And there came the day, they answered, a bright light grew above him, so bright and beautiful, it blinded the giant as he tried to cover his eyes to what magic the gods were gifting him. A hand appeared in the light, it covered the brightness as Keddreck could see it was getting larger and larger, until the light was gone, all light. He was given Darkness, a friend for him to speak with, but not see. Voices began to speak to him as he could not see through the darkness. The darkness did not favor Keddreck, they told him he was imperfect, crooked, a mistake. He believed them as his castle was escaped of beauty and life, everything died once Keddreck was near life, the creatures he adored left in fear, the rare plants shriveled and dried out. They gave him a gift, but to many, it was a curse, even for the kindest of beasts.”

A door slammed open, it was one of the guards. “Your master wants you, Khaja!”

“But he’s my adopted father, and my name is Jeramy.”

“You all look the same.” He took a long look at his book. “Where in the void did you get that?!” He said. Jeremy’s breath froze.

“From M`Aiq… The Joraal that sells things to us every week.”

“Hmmm… Never mind, just go to your master.” He slammed the door shut as the lamp hanging above his bed fell two inches from the ceiling. He went out of his room to see maid cleaning the walls and floors. He greeted them as he passed by, walking into the master room where the old man was.

He sat there, face towards the fireplace, holding a glass of wine in his hands. His hair was gone, as more spots riddled his hands and body. He spoke softly to Jeremy, “Do you know why I called you?” A guard enters the room.

“Why mister Higgans?”

He took a swig of his wine, “One of my guards saw you last night,” Jeremy’s eyes widened, “Roaming the fields as you entered that Khaja’s room.” The boy’s brow quivered. “Why are you doing this, my son?”

“Don’t call me that.” The guard behind him shoved him.

“Do you think he is your father? Of all these creatures, you pick the one that is usesless to the plantation.”

“No he’s not!” A guard clubbed his head.

“Don’t you do that, you fool!” The guard backed off as the old man got up from his chair. He picked up his cane and walked to the boy, placing the cane on him as he struggled to pick himself up.“He could be taking advantage of you! He could be trying to start some… Revolution that would get you killed! I can’t have the English Guard arrive and have you shot down as a revolutionary.”

“You aren’t my Noama, and he is too old to be a Khaja Revolutionary!”

The old man sighed as he gestured the guards for something. He gave him a club, with small, wooden spikes attached to. “I thought you would have learned from the last time.” He raised the club as he swiftly beaten the young Joraal. He slammed that club on his body for hours, it was sundown when he was done. A maid walked in, he stopped. “What is it, Jacqueline” He drops the the club.

“The dinner guest have arrived.” His mouth drops as he quickly grabs his cane and grabs his coat on his chair. “Should we get you dressed up, sir?”

“No, my morning coat is fine!”

“But sir, the coat is stained.”

“Not manner, just help this boy up.” She watched him walk by her into the dining room, the boy was out. He was hardly breathing, he looked soulless. His face was full of blood and his eyes covered with by swelling skin. A finger in one of his hands was bent backwards as gaping wounds bled constantly. He looked near death.

“You poor boy. Why is he so harsh on you?” The maid whispered to herself. She carried him as more maids came to help the boy to a bed.

In the dining room was a couple, happily married, with two kids sitting in the table beside them. The wife had a someone else in the oven as she struggled to sit straight. On the table was a large turkey with sides of potatoes and Armonian Daits, baked to perfection as a large jug of Apple Cider entered the table. The old man enters the room. “Well, if it isn’t the newest addition to the wheat business!” He grabs the husband’s hand and shakes it dominantly. “So, how long have you been at this kind of business?”

“Well, we’ve been at it since I was a child. My father owned a brewery before the time of the English Walls.”

“Indeed sir, as for me, my mother worked in a bakery with my father. We sold to the children of the village and we gave to passing soldiers on their journies.”

“Well, you sound like a kind bunch. Please, enjoy as much food as you want, it’s all for you and the drinks are delicious. Each pint made by my maids and my workers outside.” The old man sat in his chair at the far end of the table.

“Lovely!” The wife said. The husband looked out the window to see the Joraal working with distraught faces and wounds on their chest and backs. The old man saw his observing.

“What the matter?”

“What?” He turned away.

“You look… Depressed to say the least. Is something the matter? Is the food not of your liking?”

“No, it’s just the Joraal…”

“You mean, the Khaja?”

“I guess. It’s just…”

“What is it, my friend?”

“They don’t look happy.” A maid offered him a drink. “No ma’am.”

“Well, what of it? It’s not like they deserve such a thing.”

“Oh, nevermind. I guess we are all different.” The old man gave him a stare.

“Do you not have Khaja workers?”

“No, all the workers we have are paid and not forced.”

“They get paid nicely for their hard work.” The wife interrupted. The old man picked up his cane and rested his head on it, giving the husband a cold stare.

“If you do not like such workers you can leave my plantation.”

“No, I don’t feel in such a way.” The old man saw their opinions on the manner of the Joraal. He knew they saw them as humans instead of worthless beings in need of a meaning to their lives. He wanted something to convince them of their misleading opinion.

“No, no. It’s okay. We can meet somewhere else if you like.”

The husband and wife looked at each other. “Do we have anything to be done?”

“I think we need something shipped by twelve.”

“I guess we have to. C’mon children. Say goodbye to the good man.” The children waved to the old man as the husband helped his wife up from the chair and shook the old man’s hand.

“Wait.” The old man stopped them.

“What is it?”

“I never asked you where you are from.”

“Oh, we come from over the wall.”

“The English Wall?”

“Yes, just past it, towards the village beyond the forest trail. Shall you meet with us?”

The old man gave a sinister grin, “Of course my friends. We shall meet by 3 hours after noon from tomorrow?”

The couple agreed as they left his plantation. In his mind stird something evil, murderous. I walked out to see the couple leave as one of their children waved at me. She could have been waving at anyone, but I felt her eyes on me. She had a special gift.

Everything Wrong with Black Ops 3

Black Ops, the game that got too much attention and became a leech for every CoD player! Although, considered the best CoD on the market without hackers and a trash community to ruin it, this game still has some things wrong with it. Hello and welcome to another late though blog!

Image result for black ops 3 campaign

Now, before we get to the core of the game, we should talk about the campaign everyone seems to enjoy. I hope you saw that as sarcasm. Anyways, the game starts off with something rare in this yearly series. You actually die within the few minutes you play the campaign. Yes, if you played the multiplayer first, the game is hard to adjust to. There isn't a boost when you start and the weapons can be a bit lacking. When you start, the game is actually interesting. Although, no superhuman powers, it was actually fun to unravel the campaign. The story can feel slow and the in-game cinematics can be missed if you're not paying attention, but it is interesting to watch it unravel. Once, you fail to survive a wave of merciless robots, you die! Yay! The damn thing that kills you rips you arm and legs off and breaks your only good (and attached) arm, beating you to a lifeless pulp. And right there, the game's interesting story dies.

The game tries to make itself more interesting, but fails to accomplish that. The dialogue is cliche and the game's narrative drops to a terrible terrorist stopping story. Ever since Modern Warfare, they have been trying to accomplish another Makarov, but fail so hard! The campaign slowly turns into a Multiplayer with bots as your progress and the story becomes more and more boring. The characters aren't great or memorable, the villains don't have a purpose and the dialogue just makes you want to stop playing as soon as they start speaking. It's just terrible and so hard to complete the campaign.

Along with that, there is the redeeming bonuses. The Zombie campaign can be interesting, but that's just Zombies put into the Campaign maps. Nothing being changed, the only rare and good thing about the mode is the prologue. Then there is the Dead Ops Arcade mode where it takes the classic Rail Shooter and puts it in a funny, cliche, arcade style mode. It is actually fun and is great while playing with friends. The only bad thing I can say about this mode is when you play locally. The Splitscreen has some major problems with it where the crosshairs are moved too much to the right to fit the splitscreen and the frame rate drops once you have over 3 players playing locally. I am actually surprised they haven't fixed it, but I guess the game is mostly an online thing, so who cares.

Image result for black ops 3 zombies

On to the Zombies mode, they are actually fun. Of course they are, and I'm glad they haven't changed anything to make the mode different from the others, like what certain game did. Anyways, the map when you first play the game is actually kind of fun. The map was well designed and is actually like a massive maze that all the other maps try to do. As for the only stand alone map, Giant, is actually pretty small. It's fun and a good nostalgia item to have, but it's too small. You can explore the entire map within the first 8 rounds you play and open the Pack-A-Punch and the Mystery Box within the first five.

Some players even play the entire game in one place since the map is so small. You know where the power is? Well, go there and don't progress. You go up to 50 rounds before you need to Pack-A-Punch something. As for the other maps in this game, they are a bit too expensive. "Are you going to hate on the price of the map the developers need to earn something from their masterpiece?" Actually, this game is no masterpiece. The maps are actually in one bundle with other useless maps your probably don't want. Each one being about 30 bucks and can you guess how many there are? There are about 4 right now and they haven't made a Zombie bundle yet. I mean, they will soon with completely different maps, but still! The only cheap way to buy those maps is with the Season Pass, the one thing that people hate in games. I was actually surprised they didn't do the two season pass thing that other have done. I bet the other maps are fun, but I just don't have the money to buy all maps or get the $50 season pass. "You cheap little f*ck! You have the money, but too lazy to get it!" No, I have other things to spend my money on that are more important than these useless things.

Image result for black ops 3 multiplayer

To move on, the Multiplayer is the only thing that is keeping the game alive. I know that sounds like an insult, but if you look at it, the game is pretty bad without the two modes for it to offer. The only thing that I hate about multiplayer is the people playing. “You just hate’em because you suck! Git Gud!” Yeah, I am pretty good in multiplayer games, not that good to be in ESports, but I’m pretty decent. It’s just, you can clearly see some people playing unfairly. What is considered unfair? Well, camping with three turrets protecting you and shooting anything that moves with an instant kill shotgun. There is some rifles that can get instant kills, but those take some challenge. You need to count on luck and aim with that kind of gun. Shotguns are the equivalent of the rifles, but you don’t need to aim. Just hope (and it most likely would) that the spread hits them. I like playing modes like Free-For-All and Domination, so seeing people play the game so poorly is kind of bad.

“You could play Hardcore instead of the standard Core modes, StarterPack. You can find better players there.” I don’t know, I’m a bit afraid to do that. I know it’s just a mode selection, but I don’t wanna be looked down upon by the better players. And what makes me laugh is how some hardcore players go on to the Core modes just to troll newer players, but the mixture of trash and perfection just creates this balance of fair play. You wouldn’t think that at first, but I guess the people who play in those modes just don’t care if they get the highest kill streak. I like that, a chill list of players where you can beat even the best players in the game without getting dissed.

“What’s your loadout, StarterPack.” Starter SMG and a Rocket Launcher with some EMPs to stop my opponents. “Trash!” Yeah, it gets the job done and takes more skill to use that than you think. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this! I hope I didn’t stir up something while writing this blog. It’s just some of my opinions, so don’t take these too seriously. Again, I hope you enjoyed this and ‘til next time…

Top 8 Things That Made Me Stop Playing

Some people play a game and they like it, but sometimes a game can go too far with their content or something goes wrong with the game itself. It can make a player stop playing for good sometimes and that has happened to me too much. Hello and welcome to this blog countdown.

8. Mortal Kombat X

Image result for mortal kombat x

Great game by heart and is a masterpiece to see where this game went to. Before, it was boobs, boobs, boobs! Now this game has followed a more realistic call where the women are in fair size (And still sexy) and the men don't look like a bodybuilder on steroids. I am a long time Kombat Player, so seeing that happen to this game was very heartwarming.

Once I finished the story mode (It was cheesy by the way) and began to play the Multiplayer. My first impressions were not fun. I was a level one fighter that barely knew most of the combos and was about to fight a level 200 player that possibly is going to know every inch of this game. Let's just say the fight was very short and mostly in the air. I really don't get the match making in this game, it's just so unfair where the beginners have to go up against the best of the best. I don't know what the problem is, either it's because all the beginners are not playing or that the game doesn't know what a fair fight is. I stopped playing once the game wouldn't stop putting me up against people more skilled than me with over a thousand wins.

7. Mine Craft

Image result for minecraft xbox one

When you get Lego bricks and play with them as a kid, you love them for a minute then put them back in the toy box later because you lost all faith in your creativity. Mine Craft can feel the same way when you play for an extended period of time. "Well, you just haven't made everything yet, StarterPack!" Well, I did. I made a roller coaster, a mansion fit with working plumbing, a poney ranch, a fountain and even a working mine with rails. What else is there to do? Possibly survive each night without sleeping? Did it. Create an arena with friends and bet whether or not a Creeper would win against a Zombie? Did that and I lost. Can you think of anything else?

And before you even ask, I did play this with friends and we both got bored with it along with the game's new PvP modes. I really don't know why they put that in the game when it's just a creation sim. I guess it was to popularize the Hunger Game Servers on the PC. Anyways, the game is boring after playing it for too long.

6. Super Smash Bros.

Image result for super smash bros

You know the famous friendship destroyer! No, not Mario Kart. Smash Bros... The game that was the best fighting game on the 64... No one? Okay, well this game is a great little fighting game. I think it can tower over many, but the one thing that sucks is the community. "What!? I am apart of this community you hate so much and I find that very offensive!" Yeah, if you're a cool player, I won't hate. Anyways, they're just people that would call you trash for not wanting items or playing on your favorite stage, Smashville. Don't judge.

In my school, in the Teen Lounge, is nothing but that. Everyone either likes to camp, use awful items and spam anything they can get easy access to. I just hate it. They don't even try and call you trash after they spam the same moves and runaway from you when you try to kill them! I just want to scream sometimes when they do things like that.

5. Undertale

Image result for undertale

I actually like this game for a while. It was a rare little RPG. I don't even know if I would call it an RPG it's so different. I thought of myself as a fan even though I was half way through the game and joined the fan club on Google +. Go ahead, laugh! Anyways, the fan club was strange. It was people liking the game too much and almost every community post was... Porn! Why do people like Toriel like that!? Why!? She doesn't even look like that!

After rubbing bleach in my eyes, I didn't see the game as a friendly little RPG, but something that those weirdos saw! I was grossed out everytime I played it, just those images from the fan club popping up in my head! I quickly uninstalled as I knew I would not be playing that game anymore. My innocence was destroyed that night.

4. Fallout New Vegas

Image result for fallout new vegas

When you play this game, you get a new vibe of the fallout universe where it's like a Spaghetti Western in the future where you have to take revenge for the man who shot you in the head. Besides that, the game had a good variety of choices where you had to really think on. I was choosing the Mr. House route of the story as I had the Platinum Chip. As soon as I was able to open a secret door in the Caesar's Legion base, using the chip, it wouldn't open. I thought it was a loading thing and actually tried to debug it with some console commands. It didn't work. I tried noclip and I was out of the map instead of where I wanted to be.

I reloaded the moment where I entered the room and I saw my companion trying to open it himself. Why? I have the chip! Why are you trying to open it? I believe him doing that broke the game and every attempt of me fixing it would result in the same glitch. "Why didn't you try to load you last save before you started this mission, StarterPack?" My last save before the mission was way back when I was trying to get the chip. My Auto Saves were all from when I entered the area, so the work to do this all over again was going to be another 7 hours to waste on this game and I didn't want to do that. Instead I went to Mr. House and killed him and there I dropped the game completely.

3. Mass Effect Andromeda

Image result for mass effect Andromeda

I was hesitant to play this game after hearing so much wrong with it, but seeing the video with every single mistake this what makes this game, I was excited to see what the game was about. I rented it to be safe and began the game. It took me to the Character Creation and I wanted to see what the Character Presets were. What I saw was the ugliest bunch of presets in the world. Each one being worse than the last and seeing the female presets just made me cry. They didn't look cute or even made you want them to, it was just this gross looking butter face with fat lips.

I settled with the default character and played the first 10 minutes of the game. From what I saw was a bad thing. Something that even Jesus can't even save! The cutscenes looked like something that the people at Screw Attack would make for their Death Battles! The lip sinc, even after the update, looks awful and too robotic. The dialogue was just a massacre on my ears and nothing about the characters were fun! Why do I want to romanticize with this character? Even the gameplay is lacking along with the Narrative. I took back that rent as soon as I could.

2. Oblivion

Image result for oblivion game

I played this game as a kid and, to be honest, was my first Action/RPG. It was a fun game as your progress in the game's story, but when you progress in level and focus on bad stats in the beginning, it's pretty hard to play. Either the enemies are hard to fight without using spells and a bow or you just can't progress in a mission because you can't do an Expert Lock.

I really hated that as a kid and the money in the game was so scarce. I can see why players always do that one glitch where you get a thousand gold everytime you talk to this one dude. The one thing I hated was how the game didn't supply the enemies corpses with enough arrows, making the game even harder with a scarce amount of arrows. I was just a kid when I played this, but I stopped once I couldn't progress farther in the Brotherhood quests. Watched my dad beat the game though.

1. Skyrim

Image result for skyrim

I do not hate this game. I would actually put this game on my number one spot on best RPG's out there, so don't think I hate this game. Anyways, when I played the game for a second time after a bad glitch from the last time, I was going on a mission in Solstheim to go in a temple to find some relic. I complete it and just finally turned level 60. My last one was only a level 50, so this would be my first time I ever reached 60. I was rewarded and was about to leave. I head to the door and enter a loading screen... I wait... And I wait... And I wait... And I wait... The game took so long to load the game and everytime it did, the game would freeze.

In a desperate attempt to play the game as a level 60 for once, I left the game to load overnight. Even that wouldn't work! My last game made me stop because everytime I entered my inventory, it would freeze for a few seconds and seeing that this one was completely broken, I stopped playing the game. When I got the Special Edition, I just couldn't play since I did everything in the game. Everything that felt important, everything that was awesome, even the Brotherhood was sucked dry. I stopped playing the game completely... Unless you count the times I test the game's limits with the new mod feature.

Well, I hope you enjoyed this countdown. It's been a while since I've done one of these, so it was great fun doing this again. Anyways, what made you stop playing a fun game? Can you relate to this list at all. Please tell, I don't want to be alone. And 'til next time...

How Indie Video Games Are Good For A Sharp Mind

Originally made by PeepPop

Complex, intriguing and incredibly challenging; indie video games have made a great progress from their relatively simple arcade counterparts in the late nineties. It takes immense effort to conceptualize and finally come up with these games. This accomplishment turns out to be even more impressive when only a few people are involved in the entire process, a process that is under a really stringent budget.

Although there is a popular notion that video games totally mess with your cognitive abilities, this is completely false. Contrarily, these games improve your overall health and play a vital role in sharpening your mind. In case you’re still wondering how these indie video games actually help- here’s all that you need to know about it.

Improves your decision making abilities

Most of these indie games require real-time and extremely fast reaction from your end. At times, you have to make a split second decision that will either grant you a virtual life or lead to your virtual death. According to the neuroscientists from the University of Rochester, these games give players the much needed practice for making the right decisions in the world around them. Most of the indie games are action oriented and they therefore act as a trigger for the entire process of making decisions. Players are compelled to react instantly which also helps them in real life.

Boosts your creativity

Another reason why you should spend some time playing these indie games is simply because they play a vital role in boosting your creative abilities. Most of these games require you to figure out new and creative ways to defeat your opponent. At the same time, as you reach a higher and a relatively difficult level you might also have to create characters or elements that never existed initially. This creativity that you harness while playing the game will pass through the various abilities in your life. You will find newer and better ways of handling real life situations and even turn out to be much more valuable at work. You will enjoy better satisfaction at work which will further boost your mental health.

Boosts your cognitive abilities

All of us know about how exactly we need to keep our brains constantly working, for functioning at the best and the highest level. While many take resort to arcade and memory games, computer games are equally useful in this regard. While playing video games (including casino game strategies that you pick up from those fun mini games that take you off the beaten path in a game), you are required to recognize certain patterns and remember the working mechanism of the missions which boost your cognitive abilities. Your memory too increases and you end up performing memory tasks better.

Improves your focus and attention

These games also play a vital role in improving your overall focus and attention. As the games need you to completely concentrate on reaching a new level, you unknowingly end up focusing on things better. This further helps you in your real life and plays a vital role in improving your overall concentration levels.

So considering the benefits, it is indeed worth a shot to try playing these indie games. They will definitely sharpen your mind and help you to enjoy better creative and cognitive abilities.

Wait! If you are a fan of the game and don't wanna be insulted of my opinions, please leave now. If you dare try to read, please don't hurt me since these are just simple opinions instead of facts! I know the game is great, but seriously every game isn't perfect. Now to the blog! The game that completely changed the game's feeling and gave you something other than Fallout, we got a completely original game, New Vegas! That's not sarcasm. Hello and welcome to this thought blog!

Image result for fallout new vegas courier

I got this game before I played 3 and after I completed 2. I think I was about 10 or 12, but it was something to play as a kid with a PC. I got the Game of the Year version and played through the game's confusing narrative. You are a courier of the wasteland, sent to deliver a casino chip... Strange, I know, but it gets weirder! You are captured by a man in a checkered suit and shot by him in the head. How are you to progress in the story further? Well, him and his gang was so bad at burying you that your body could be found by a rundown robot! And it seems the guy who shot you wasn't good at making sure his ammunition was checked since the bullet shatter before exiting the barrel. You survive for some reason and are quested to find the man who shot you and complete your delivery that he stole from you.

Why does the chip have so much importance? Well, apparently the chip is a key to some kind of treasure. I don't know, I haven't gotten that far. Anyways, the treasure sounds nice and (if you play the Mr. House Route) you can see what that treasure is. The thing I disliked about the story was how many choices you had to explore it. Yes, that sounds great and all, but the way it's executed it awful. You want to see Mr. House? Well, you have to pay a thousand caps to get a pass in New Vegas or you can fight the robots and get in for free at the price of constantly getting attacked. Or you can join Caesar's Legion and achieve the chip forcefully at the price of looking like a Dictator, but you can do the main mission quicker! You can join the NCR, but you look like a corrupt government that will never restore peace and carry this burden for the rest of the game, but at least you look cool while doing it! You can join the Khan, but they are just too savage and look so primal and unintelligent while trying to rule the Mojave Desert, at least you got a cool name, though!

"Well, it's just so you can have a large diversity to the game's choices instead of having two to follow or not, StarterPack!" Well, my problem about them is that they aren't given to you properly. The main mission just forces you to meet them and it feels to odd. They aren't properly give to you and it just felt wrong when you are trying to do one storyline and forces you do to another to complete the one you are on! What Fallout 3 did was you are given the full extent of the brotherhood and are captured by the Enclave and given why the Enclave are fighting. As soon as you get both sides reasoning, you are given a choice to join either the Enclave or The Brotherhood. That is something that I actually liked about 3 that this game forgot to do. That's what made the game kind of confusing, the game wasn't straight forward with their factions and didn't give you the full picture.

Image result for fallout new vegas

If you look at it, the game was more of a Wiki search for you just so you can do what you want. Trust me, I had to open so many tabs as I played this game on each faction I met. If you want to enjoyed this game without a mind f*ck, then I suggest you keep that computer open for some long research. "Well, you have to talk about the gameplay, I mean, the story can't be the be-all in this, StarterPack!" Well, when you look at it, the gameplay is nothing but the story missions. Yes, you can play the game without doing that, but you will get some story out of everything you do. I mean, some side missions will either give you hints or information on the main missions.

And since you mentioned gameplay, if you played and liked the previous game, you might like it. Although changed to the new setting, the game is still pretty much the same with a western feel. "Don't you hate that, StarterPack?" Kind of. I don't know, the setting doesn't feel like Fallout at all, but I enjoy if you want to call it a spin-off. Anyways, the new thing to talk about is the bullets. If you are unfamiliar to guns, you might ask why is that a mechanic, but most guns have different rounds that do different things that either kill faster, destroy concrete or just do a small impact explosion. In this game, that kind of happens. There is some bullets that do more damage to armored enemies and some that take done cause more damage to those without. Kind of like what Bioshock did with the ammo change. The thing that sucks about it is that it takes one slot from your favorites. On console it's your D-Pad up, but I think it's your #1 key on the keyboard. I don't know, I had to stop on PC since it kept crashing on me.

That's the one thing I hated about the game. "But StarterPack, it's just one slot!" Well, one slot makes a difference! That just means on slot gone for one of my guns. Every time I had a better gun, I would debate with myself whether or not I should throw away this gun or this awesome gangster Tomson from the Future. It was just another mind f*ck for me to handle and I just hated dealing with it.

Image result for fallout new vegas speech check

Along with that, there was the speechcraft in the game. What's wrong with it? Well, in Fallout 3, it was the same dialogue with a percentage of how successful it is, giving you small lucky chance for it to work. In this game, it's changed dialogue depending on your speech that gives you no chance for it to work! I always liked chancing myself for these and seeing that the dialogue either makes me sound stupid or just unprofessional! I remember the one thing that bothered me was when you are trying to get some free enhanced Leather Armor or something in New Vegas and the dialogue to persuade her at my rank was "I would liked to... See you... In leather!" I almost face palmed, but it was a good laugh. I just thought that it was kind of dumb for my character to have that as a thought... Don't judge how I think! At least it wasn't a fully failed attempt like how 3 did it where if you even tried, it wouldn't even let you try again. But it still has that happen in important conversations though. Plus this was taken into the newest game, Fallout 4, but it doesn't tell you how stupid it is.

Anyways, the game's guns are pretty diverse from the last game. There is a large variety of guns that have different effects and different abilities. Some you would only think the first game would have accomplished. To fit the game's western feel, there are some revolvers added to the game along with some Sci-Fi guns that look western as well as some of the guns from the last game. "Some?" Yes, some. The only one that I can for sure say is not in the game is the Chinese Assault Rifle. That was my favorite gun from the game and I wish they put it in. Yes, you can get it with mods, but I'm good with mods nor am I good with a computer back then.

And the one thing I can say for sure that sucks in this game is that the fallout feel just isn't present. I mean, some player can agree as well as having different opinions determined to your mindset. It was just too bright and sunny and the setting feels out of place to the franchise it holds. I mean new players can jump into this without feeling this, but god, it's hard to call this a Fallout game. Especially with the DLC's.

Image result for New Vegas DLC

The DLC's was just off the tracks with the game's story with just something to explore after you did everything in the main game. The only ones that felt like it was meant to be in the game Honest Hearts and Lonesome road, but the other two were just going nowhere with the game. Old World Blues was like a Twilight Zone episode where your brain was taken out and replaced with a mechanical one as you are in this world with technology. I mean, the most disturbing thing about this DLC was the brain lords or whatever. You try to do their crazy deeds just so you can get your brain and when you actually find it, you have to argue with it and try to persuade it just so it can come back in that skull of yours! Try to up your speech and intelligence before do that, so you can properly persuade him without killing it, that is if you can handle how horrifyingly strange this DLC is.

And to move to the other strange one, Dead Money sounds great, but it oddly changes the game dramatically. It's not another world for you to explore, but a mission that strips you from everything you have just so you can go through this gauntlet just so you can get all this money and leave with your stuff back. I know the game gives you some new things to play with and a well earned reward, but the it is awfully hard to accomplish and frustrating to say the least. I mean, the game tries to be like Bioshock Infinite, and the game doesn't even fit with the setting of the DLC, I mean, this is an RPG, not a stealth shooter! This DLC does give you something as a reward to have and tons of money to carry in gold, but was it worth the trouble to go through that frustratingly awful labyrinth and maze to get all that? Can you even get all that gold? No! And you have a timer, so you can't just over encumber yourself to safety, so you to be smart about what you take and what you drop!  I don't know about you, but I didn't enjoy these DLC that much. I mean, Old World Blues was fun to mess around with and the DLC was very rewarding with the perks and abilities you can gain, but this has no other reward but money that you can't even carry! I really suggest you get to a higher level than 20 to start this DLC since it is a nightmare to handle.

Image result for New Vegas DLC

The other ones were actually fun to explore, the Lonesome Road put you off your path, but it gave you a rich world that had new enemies to fight, new environment and new weapons to you. It kind of followed the main story, but it still had some exciting things to see and explore. The maps were well designed with some great loot to find. The highway part of the map was just fun to explore as you fought ghoulish enemies and get some rare Ranger armor. It even gave you a deeper look in the world that the previous games hardly even gave you.

Along with the Honest Heart, it gave you a new story mission that actually tells the story of a legend that the Caesar's Legion tells you. A famous general that was betrayed by his soldiers, burned alive and through in the grand canyon. I think this part of the game is pretty fun as you fight new looking enemies and get new weapons for you to play with. For the game's time, they designed the map very well with beautiful terrain and cool looking plants. The DLC is pretty tame with it's reward and gives you a large variety of choices to follow, but it pays well with it's loot.

Image result for New Vegas gif

Overall the game is hard to tackle when you are a long time fan of the game, but if you're new, it's pretty fun. I played on PC as a kid, but I really don't suggest it since it was pretty buggy with it's crashes and common glitches. The console version, I would have to say, is better since there is little to have trouble with. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this and 'til next time...

What Makes Succes?

Games are confusing. Yes, I said it! The thing that almost everybody has been saying about today's gaming for about 3 years. At least from what I experienced. When you look at it, games have a different perspective of success and can change to what you play. Well, me and my friend, Issacclark322, are going to give our take on what makes a successful game! We haven't talk to each about what we will write in general nor have we shared our work with each other, so Hello and welcome to this challenge blog!

Image result for ET the game

As I said before, games are confusing. Both in the Industry and the player's point of view of it. It's either determined by money or by the greatness of the game, it is always different from what you play or from what time period you come from. I mean, a great example of something like this would have to be E.T. the game. Yes, the game is considered the worst game in history and used as a backup for any game reviewer out there, but the one thing people don't know is how much it grossed. It sold over 1.4 million copies and, by today's standards, earned 25 million in the box office. That is pretty good for a game that only had about 2 weeks of work spent on it, but why isn't it considered a success? Why didn't it save the gaming community? Well, that's because it wasn't fun. A lot of people can say that about a game and try to think that the same thing will happen to them as did ET, but we haven't hit a crash yet nor is the gaming industry held by one company. Most of the games made then were considered less than a penny and generally thrown out of stores because of how long they stood in the shelf. Until EA is the last standing company and starts crapping out games just for the money that are considered more worthless than a penny, then you can believe that.

For about a few year, the industry was considered a laughing stock and a thing to compare companies done on their luck. The one thing that made the industry what it is today was Nintendo. Yes, that company that caused debates about who was the soul creator of gaming was the one that saved gaming when it hit the crash. Why were they in that kind of condition? How come they were looked down upon when Atari was hated. Well, one of my teachers in World History told me his thoughts on it and said that the main reason why Nintendo took off was because of the advertising. It was a kid's device and seeing that the over the top commercial said that the device will bring real-life activities was an obvious sell. Kids begged for it as they heard those harmless white lies for their parents to buy a console for the cheap price of two hundred dollars. It almost seemed they knew what was going on in the industry they were entering.

Related image

Nintendo of the time appealed to kids for a reasonable price and has many great games on there that some would actually be lost in time and considered a gem of its time. Either it be a company off of Nintendo's development or something Nintendo wanted to make to show off the console's great powers, anyone who wanted to make a game was going to make one for Nintendo. There just had to be someone out there that was eager enough to take their thunder, right? Well, it was the Sega Master System, but the console didn't have enough lining up for it. The console was expensive and was very inferior to the NES, so many weren't excited to buy nor were parents willing to spend four hundred on it, which adds up to a thousand dollars now in inflation. The same went for the Sega Genesis that was more advanced to even the SNES. No I don't mean that stupid Sonic Processors or whatever, I mean capability wise. Sega was just desperate to take on the massive company that was Nintendo that they risked almost everything they could. It was basically the Cold War of games, they new each other, but hit each other with as much technological advances as they could. New Sega CD released in both Western and Japanese Audiences? Well, Nintendo tested out the success of their own CD system and that failed, so they only release very few of them in Japan and never in America. They went too far with quality as NIntendo came to a cheap conclusion with their games, no advanced processing, just a cheap product that almost anyone can buy without a thought of regret. And this is how you determined what was successful then, it just had to be fun and easy to have. Yes, money was still a factor in this, but the success of a game was fun, not quality. And this is what makes success confusing.

Image result for Super Mario 64

When the gaming industry destroyed our expectation and continue to do so now, gamers were more and more spoiled with better quality items from even Nintendo's standard. They went off their rule and spent more money just so they can mark the age of 3D gaming and still exceed the graphical standard. Games were at a standard we enjoyed and seeing Nintendo follow that, we thought that games should try to match that quality. We soon began a new understanding of games and, into the fame, Microsoft and Sony made their own consoles that would exceed Nintendo’s Capabilities. The Playstation came as a revenge leap towards Nintendo since they didn’t go to terms for their collaboration for a new console. Aside from that, they actually put Nintendo in a technological trap, having them stick to their old rules of making a game cheap in a time where fans wanted quality. Although, they tried to match each other in the war, Sony soon found a new competitor that would follow their standards for more than a decade now: Microsoft. As soon as Nintendo hit a time period with more than one competitor to watch, they soon didn’t know what to do, making them go to new rules instead of trying to make things cheap. Although, they did with some later consoles and game, but they soon almost hit under the radar for all their fans.

Image result for xbox vs ps4

Microsoft took Nintendo’s fame and them and Sony were the core attention as Nintendo became a laughing stock in trying to re-enter the war they started. Leading to today’s way of gaming, people steered to an understanding of technical quality, having players know what 1080p means, what FPS is in a game, and core processing of the game, having people judge more than the gameplay, but instead judge how the game operates. A lot of games were even looked down upon because of it and lowered a chance of getting an above 7 rating. But this can be canceled out since the industry isn’t in a fragile thread held by only one company, so saying a game is not good isn’t going to affect anyone now.

This is where it gets confusing, games now have to have a well  executed advertisement, so that they enter the public eye. If they do not, sales will plummet no matter if the game is good or not. First impressions matter in this situation because if the advertisements were awful, the game will not enter the public eye in a positive manner. That’s what happened to Earthbound when it released in the US, saying that the game is gross and having people scratch and sniff garbage on a magazine. So have to take the viewer’s attention in a positive manner, but this can be bad as well, since some companies advertise their games with a hype, having many people excited for the eventual release. They could have spent more on the advertising than they did with the actual game, tricking people to buy it. Sometimes, they promise too much like how Fable was when Peter Molyneux described it, an open world that even the littlest actions will change the world around you. It did not, but the game had a cult following, be held as one of the best RPG’s on PC and Xbox. It wasn’t what we were promised, but it was enjoyable to say the least. So sometimes we can get something completely different from what we saw in trailers or E3 presentations.

Another trait that can determine success is mostly the money earned. You can say this game wasn’t good and doesn’t the sequel it’s getting now, but the game grossed over the millions of dollars they spent on making it, so opinion is invalid in this case. And that’s what is kind of taking over the industry now: make a has so little potential, over advertise it, then gain all the money people spent on your game. The hit and run kind of deal in Business, as long as you earned over the money spent, you are considered successful. I kind of don’t liked that since a lot of bad games are getting that kind of treatment, having people misinterpret a good game in terms good sales. That typically means nothing to the game entirely, all that matters is if the game is enjoyable to a selected audience.

So Success is mostly an evolving concept that has meanings in games, either it be money, how well the game was received or if it had exceeded our expectations. And now games are still doing that, either be it for the worse or for the better, success can still be determined by us however we feel, as fans or just as a businessman. Anyways, I hope you liked this, it was a fun write - although mostly frustrating - and ‘til next time…

Image result for gaming deaths

Here lies AWESOMGUY9956, a man fearless and striked with courage in his hands in the battlefield. He killed 45 men in a 60 player match and he was towards the top five people on the leaderboard on Ballroom Blitz. Although, the match was won with a major victory, he died to make that happen. His death was not in vane nor shall we forget how he died for us: By throwing a grenade at a... Wall? What?

Yeah, in games, a hero can seem great until you see them die a stupid death like that. I had a lot of funny deaths in my gaming life as well as a few I should look back and mock myself for. Hello and welcome to this Community Writing Challenge.

Image result for battlefield 1 screenshots

I bet some of you have played on a massive server in a game like Battlefield or something of that matter, so when you enter a building or a piece of cover, you try to be the stealthy one that can shoot someone and not be able to be shot, so you  peak as little as you can to avoid getting shot and find each shot going through and hitting a target. You stay there and get cocky enough to kill as much people as you can in that one life. You have two deaths on the leaderboard and 55 kills to be counted, you feel like a god among weaklings and as soon as you see a crowd of people and think I can use my grenade! You ready your aim with your grenade to make sure it hits the that crowd. You throw and hits the wall that you've been hiding behind. Just a little F**k You to the player from the game's code.

I personally had that happen to me a lot of times since Grenades now have actual presence when you throw them, instead of the animation not having meaning besides having the grenade being thrown a foot away from you. I'm kind of glad they do this, because when I look back at that, I just see a guy camping for the kills instead of the team.

Image result for skyrim giant death gif

Another would have to be the few in Skyrim. Where should I start? I think I should go with the giants. I know this has been a gaming trope for now, but I just love this glitch too much. The game has giants in the game with big clubs ready to smash you with. You would think it would just stagger you, right? Well, it was suppose to do that and the death sequence was to launch you a few feet in the air to compliment the physics, but the game's code multiplied the damage and launch by 10 making you a member of Tamriel's first Astronaut Program! I don't know why, but when you first encounter this, it takes you by surprise. You would think it would just launch somewhere other than straight up. I still find it funny I played this game to death.

Plus, there is a glitch in the game that has one of their clubs in game that gives you the option to pick it up, but even if you try you can't. You can drag it across the floor, but you can't pick it up and use it. I remember the time when I saw that for the first time and I was legit angry. I was eager to be able to launch everyone in the game into space, screaming you're officially part of NASA. I was 12 okay!

Image result for garry's mod banana model

I guess in Garry's Mod there are some funny or more strange deaths out there. I guess one experience I had recently was during Dark RP, one of the jobs were a Banana. I don't know why, it was something you can be. I chose a cop and when I entered spawn, there was a Banana killing anyone he sees while making obscured sounds doing so. He walked up to me while breathing in the mic and I almost freaked out. I told I would pay him with guns if he didn't kill me. He whispered Glock repeatedly. I said what and threw a cinderblock at me.

He continued to do this and, to the Admin, he wasn't doing anything wrong. The description of the Banana was a psychopathic criminal to roam the streets. We continued to play, trying to catch him, he kept throwing cinder blocks at us, watching each corpse fly across the screen as a cinderblock wielding Banana Man chased us. We tried to shoot at him, but he would take it. I think the admins there kept healing him as the cops died one by one, not knowing why this is happening. I had the most fun out of that though!

I hope you enjoyed this, it was fun to write and an interesting Community Writing Challenge. It sounded simple in my head, but took a while to fully grab the concept and write it. Took me about 3 attempts to write one. Again, I hope you enjoyed this Community Writing Challenge and 'til next time...

The Story of Jeremy, Part Eight

The fires crackle on their torches as the cold night wind blow upon it. The men and women of Joraal decent crowd up to a stage made of wood and lit with torches. She walks on stage, covered in armor, her steel sword on her hip and her crossbow on her back, she speaks, “We plan the siege tonight.” She said. “We won’t let ourselves down nor shall we let our people become mindless slaves to those who took them.” The crowd cheers with a glorious cry as the officials clap their hands silently.

The crowd settled and one cried out a question, “How shall we go about this? We attack the Higgins farm, yes? How shall we accomplish such a thing, the place is covered in armed guards and ready to attack any and all who try to invade.”

She smiled. She had her men pull out a weapon, a weapon of mass destruction. Ancient it was, but an effective mode of war. “This is a catapult. We found this in a ruined castle over to the east. Broken down, we had the men pulling it fix it for a cause such as this.” The crowd smiled to this weapon as every member felt more faith in this act. “We have what we need to use this and if all else fails, we have more men and women to fight with us and are willing to fight and die for our revolution. Tonight we make ourselves known, after killing the king’s best men, all his officials, all that hold the English Army are gone. We make ourselves known to our actions, we are ready to fight and finally take on the king’s awful rule. Are. You. With. Me!?” The crowd roars with glee as their spirits change to a war torn heart.

I hear the giggle of a joyful child with her happy family. I look and I see her, the girl with the gift, smiling and playing in her family’s fields. Her laugh invades all sound as the workers by her picked the crops around her, smiling at her. The only joy I have seen in a farm in so long. She runs out of the crops, the brush of toe, and stops to stare at me. I felt her eyes on me as she waved. I looked behind myself and there was a forest wall with no one to see, no one to wave to. I raise my hand and wave slightly as she laughs even more. She steps towards me and asks, “Are you an angel?” I felt wings spring out of my back for a moment, but I was far from one. I reply with a nod. “Well, you look like one to me. A mean one.” I felt like smiling, but I had nothing to grin with. “But a hug can turn means into nice people.” I look curiously. “That’s what my Pa use to say.” A man came to check on her.

“What are you doing, little darling?”

“Nothing…”

“Were you thinking on going into the woods again, little lass?”

“No… I was talking to him.” She pointed to me with her little hands, but the man only saw her point to the woods.

“You weren’t talking to hermits were you?”

“No! I was talking to the angel!” He looked into the woods again.

“Was he wearing a robe?”

“Yes…?”

“That’s a hermit, little darling. Don’t talk to them, they can steal you and you will never come back.” She stared at me as the man took her back into the fields. I raised my hand and waved. I saw that smile again as she did the same back to me.

I hear the paper of a gift in the distance. A wrinkle of hard paper over an object, tied to a colorful string. It was Jeremy, and in his hands a gift for someone. It was night. Seems time has passed. Jeremy hiding in the brush in the fields with the gift to his back. He climbs into the window of the Joraal shack house. His father was on his desk, reading the book of legends. A creek, his father turned towards him. “What are you doing here? I thought you were staying for tonight.”

“I know, Noama, but I couldn’t help that it was your birthday today.” He holds up his gift.

“Why you didn’t need to do this.”

“I had to.” He hands him the gift. He marvels at the colorful string for he has never seen so many colors in one object. He unites and and unveils his gift. A golden compass, covered with patches of rust with no needle in it. Khal`En looks disappointed.

“What is this?”

“It’s a Terminus, I helped M`Aiq buy this off his shelf. It sat too long and I thought you would like this.”

“It has no needle, how am I going to use this?”

“Noama, it’s a different kind of compass, it can locate any location you know.” He grabbed the Terminus and pressed a button. It shined as it gave off an image of the land he was in. “Where do you wanna go, Noama?”

He looks towards his desk and read the title in the book of Legends, “War of Terria.” The image moved and showed the land he named, with the name said in his language. “It’s real!” He screamed as he heard footsteps nearing his door. “You have to go, Jera. Take the Terminus with you.”

“But, you can-”

“No time. Just leave now.” Jeremy left in the shadows of the fields as Khal`En jolted in fear. He put his book in the box and places it under the bed as the door swung open. Guards stood in front of the doorway, looking at Khal`En with a shadow under their eyes.

“The master wants to see you, Khaja.”

“What for?”

“That’s not to be discussed here, Khaja. Now move your feet!” He stood for the guards as they grabbed his shoulder. Fear grew in his mind, hoping his son wasn’t caught and that his son won’t have to be beaten in front of him again, nor did he want to feel the pain of a whip again. Walks outside of the shack and heads towards the master’s cabin. Those fears started to become more and more real to him now, it was now a possibility. He enters the cabin, the maids stare at him in shock, whispering to each other, questioning why he was here. He is taken to the master room, him sitting, faced towards the fire, taking swigs on his priceless brandy.

“Sit down, Khaja,” he said softly, “sit anywhere you feel comfortable with.” Khal`En looks around and saw a lone, wooden chair and pulled it out to sit. “You know, I never learned your name. I know we met many a time, but your name is oblivious to me.” He turned to look at Khal`En, “If you wish to tell me that is. I understand if you don’t.” He looked at his master in confusion as he takes another swig from his brandy.

“Khal`En… Sir... “

“Well, Khal`En. I want you to do something special.” Khal`En glanced towards the fire as his master’s eyes were piercing his soul. “It’s a bit risky, but I believe you of all khaja can do this correctly.”

“What is it you wish of me?” His master hands him a knife.

“I want you to change someone’s mind.”

5 Things Fans Are Wrong About

Image result for call of duty is good

Everyone has been a fan of a game, I bet you are one too seeing that you're on this site full of gaming fans, and sometimes we can say something either positive or negative about something as a fan and be wrong about it. You can say this game was great when it started when there are game breaking bugs that happen more regularly than a Rattata while looking for a Muchop. These things happen a lot in fandoms and sometimes no one notices. Hello and welcome to this soon to be hated count down blog

5. The Movie Game Rule

Image result for movie games

Have you ever had a game that was a promotion to a movie? Well, many have seen this in the early days of gaming and there has been a well followed rule: if the movie was good, the game is bad. There are times where this is true, I mean look at X-Men Origins Wolverine! That movie sucked, but the game was a better God of War than... Well... God of War! But that was the past when games were more of new, from-the-heart kind of art form, now games advertising movies are more of an advertisement than a game to gain more profit from the movie. I mean, have you played Ben-Hur? Basically a game you would find on New Grounds that a kid made out of Unity. I know there is the Mad Max game, but that is more of a game of it's own and isn't apart of the movie's story, it's literally of its own realm.

4. Mortal Kombat has a Good Story

Image result for mortal kombat good story

I remember browsing the MKX sub-reddit and found that a lot of people are saying the story of MK is good and is strange that a movie adaptation wasn't good. I have played Mortal Kombat for almost all my life and thought that the story was a cheesy mess full of bad dialogue and poor storytelling. I mean, even the new MKX follows that tradition of bad storytelling. I would have to say, the story is cheesy, but it's very charming which is why I love them so much. The movies produced have a reason for being so bad. The story is bad, the dialogue is awful and the characters did have some lame poses, so having a movie is roadkill. I think the only thing that was good about the game (besides the gameplay) is the characters uniqueness. I mean, I can get aside from the different shade of color on a ninja, but still they were all unique.

3. MGS has a Good Story

Image result for mgs nanomachines

Saying Metal Gear Solid has a good story is like saying the guys behind Tron Legacy deserve an Oscar for their great work. I know many will hate me for saying that, but let's face it, Japan is weird about their stories and never really made sense. I mean, every problem in the game's plot is going to be solved with Nanomachines. Why is this guy so crazy? Nanomachines made him that way. Why is the president planning world domination? Because he wants everyone to be cured from hated and disease with Nanomachines.

If you try to defend the game's plot by talking about MGSV, please remember Quiet and that entire army of kids that gave you trouble beating because you couldn't kill them. Remember those as you try to debunk my statement.

2. Japan is the King of Games

Image result for japanese games

Okay, name a game from Japan that is great and isn't Dark Souls, Street Fighter or from Nintendo. Name them. Hard isn't it? If you haven't noticed, the gaming industry in Japan is falling as we speak since the only great games out of the Japanese Nation is long running franchises and almost all of them are either ending or getting worse in quality. I mean, the great series that was Dark Souls in finishes, Street Fighter 5 was not what we wanted, MGS's fame has dwindled because F**k Konami and Nintendo is creating nothing but overused franchises. "What about Splatoon?" Well, I guess that's original. But still, the Japanese Gaming Industry's last hope is Nintendo at the moment, and other companies such as Capcom and SNK are trying their best to stay at the top due to games not reaching western audiences.

1. Pokemon Red was the Best of the Series

Image result for pokemon red

Yes, the game is what made the franchise and is what made children of the 90's love games, but when you look back on it after playing the newest Pokemon, you will find a broken mess. I know that this can be a bad thing for me to say since I am not a fan of the series, but seriously look back at the game. No, not the graphics, I truly love the artstyle it holds, but look at it in terms of gameplay. Yes, it's toned down a bit, but the game's code is so messed up that some moves in the game are not doing what they are intended or do something so game breaking, that makes the game more frustrating. To leave an example, freeze moves are suppose to stop the opponent, giving the player an extra move to attack, but the code in the program was mistaken to leave the opponent froze for the entire match until a fire pokemon was to thaw you out. Imagine, having your pokemon froze, not being able to switch them out or try to use an item to prolong the fight even longer, just sit there as you watch your best pokemon die as well as the rest in your deck.

I know that this is something not to hate on the series since the game has vastly improved since, but we all have to admit that we played the original with our young minds, blocking everything bad about it.

I know there are something that made you mad or just disagreenent with me, so tell me what you think. I mean, there are somethings I know I missed about what fans think wrongly of games, so tell me about that too. I hope you enjoyed this and 'til next time...

"Wow, they are going to remaster the greatest platforming series of the 90's and made the Playstation an awesome console to have! I can't wait to play those great games! Wow!" said every gamer who never played Crash Bandicoot. Trust me, I love Crash, he was my childhood as a kid as well as some gems out there like Ty The Tasmanian Tiger. It's just the Bandicoot series had some bad or boring level design that kind of hurt looking back on. Hello and welcome to this soon to be hated thought blog!

Okay, raise of hands of how many people actually played the Crash Bandicoot games before the third entry. I bet half of those people actually remember the game while the other half was too young to remember the game entirely. Know that I am apart of those who don't remember, but recently I got to play those games with a cousin who had those three games in his collection. I played all of them and had some bad thoughts on only two of those games. The first one was a platforming mess, having player go back to the splitting path, risking everything to do so, and go down a different path to destroy the rest of the boxes. To those of you that don't know, Boxes are like red coins from every 3D Mario, if you destroy them all, you get a reward from them. Most of you might think that this is what makes the game challenging, but know that you don't have camera control in the game nor can tell what you're going to run into, whether it be a respawned enemy or a long pit. If you are a completionist or have any sense of OCD, not destroying all those boxes just to get a box gem out of it to both move on with the game and a decoration is going to drive you mad.

Image result for crash bandicoot 1 girlfriend head icon

And if you want to be a super completionist, you had the bonus stages where you had to break boxes to get your girlfriend's head three times to get to. Don't ask, just play the game. Those were easy, but easier to die in and never get back to unless you replay the entire level again. That, if you ask me, is just punishing. "Well, that's part of the challenge." I will hurt you if you think this is a fair challenge, because they are not. There are even some levels that just don't even give you chance, having no rhythm to the obstacles, poor perspective or clunky hit boxes. Again, if you say that is part part of the challenge, I will hurt you.

For them to make the game bearable to play without having this awful level design and challenge, they would have to redo almost the entire game. Not changing everything, just the level design to have the game be fun with a little bit of challenge. I don't think they are going to do this, unless they are going to the best people who ever handled the game since Naughty Dog sold the property, but who knows if that will ever happen. That would take a lot of work since the other games hold similar level design.

Image result for crash bandicoot 2

As for the second game, Cortex Strikes Back, it's pretty perfect. I love this game better than the rest, every level is designed to your abilities in the game and doesn't unfairly challenge the player with stupid backtracking or having to replay a level. Unless you count the Light Levels, the game has a smooth level design that is perfect for anyone who plays, so for whoever owns this at the moment doesn't have to redesign anything with the levels. I mean, the game introduced the slide jump that completely  changed the game by making backtracking or taking a leap of faith fair and less of a challenge to accomplish. I know this is unexpected, but I think this is the game that made most of my childhood at the time and was the only game of the series that could rightfully challenge Nintendo's power... Unless you remember the Coco level...

Image result for crash bandicoot 3

Back to hating the game, Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped is one of the most annoying of the games and I believe to be the crashing point of the game's series. No pun intended. The game had some bad level design, having only a few of the levels being fun and what brought back the Coco levels. I don't know why she had to be apart of this, I mean, they could have just left her in the game's background and not let her in the game again, but they had to bring her back for the girls. "You cis white racist male! You hating on a girl in a video game?!! That is absurd! I believe she is a powerful character in the game and is better than the stupid, male dominant Crash. I should report you." Look, I don't what gender she is, I just hate her levels, and I am ashamed that these levels were for the girls. They were just boring and hard to control in the game, nothing was fun about them except maybe her death animations. I love the one where she gets destroyed by a pirates paddle, just made me laugh so hard. Anyways, she also has some levels that are racist as all hell. In the China levels, the dragons and every other enemy in that level or wearing glasses to show they are asian. Whoever is remastering this game, better change that.... I don't care personally, but I know that people are going to hate it now.

And it's not her that has the boring levels! There are some pretty bad ones with Crash in it that are just so boring or just too clunky to play! The fighter plane doesn't seem right and is harder than anything the game to complete and the racing levels feel out of place! Know that the game wants to break all the boxes in the game, so you have to break each box in each level if you want to feel complete. And what makes the challenge even harder is how the game doesn't let you go back to get them or at least safely. And what almost destroyed the Cortex Strikes Back was also put into Warped: Light Levels. I mean, the water levels are pretty stupid in the game, but at least they are beatable with just a simple restart, not risking any lives. In the light levels, you can't see anything in front of you unless you have light. If you get hit, you lose the light and have to either die, restart or be bold and traverse the nightmare that is the platforming in the game.

I know that this game would not be changed at all since this game needs a lot of work done on it. Completely redesigning Coco's levels and Crashes out-of-game levels, work on the models that look to offensive... You know what, drop the game completely, make a newer and better Crash 3! The game was a stain in the Crash Bandicoot quilt, why not clean it up by making a better Crash 3?

I mean, this game was taunting at Nintendo as they advertised the Playstation console and game itself, saying that Mario can't compete with the Bandicoot, the guy in a mess of a game that Mario could have easily beaten. Please tell me if you remember any bugs in Mario games that were game breaking...

Image result for mario 64 title screen

Okay... You got me on that one... Not many would agree with that, actually it's a controversial statement to say the least, but you are right... Anyways, still Crash Bandicoot has been a broken game (except Crash 2), but seeing that they are going to remaster it is crazy to me. I believe this is a risky idea to begin with and can destroy a company if they don't do it correctly. I mean... Does anyone remember the other games past Crash 3? I rather not remember the bad games that had to come...

My point is that they would have to do a lot of work to fix all the problems in the game, both glitches and level design, but seeing that the game has been known to be a milked cow after Naughty Dog sold the rights to the game, I don't see that happening. "What if they actually do it, StarterPack?" I would be mildly surprised to see that they did such a thing instead of doing the typical and try to milk this almost dead cow. I didn't pre-order it nor do I feel the need to, but I want to see what the game will do after release, see what people will discover in the game. I mean, every other remaster always has a new glitch that was never in the first game. What do you guys think? I know there are some fans left out there on this site that love the series, what are your thoughts on the new N-Sane Trilogy coming? Did you pre-order it? Are you a parent that is going to show your kid the wonders of the 90's reborn? Please, I would love to know if people have an interest in this game still and 'til next time...

E3 Was a Mistake...

My thoughts of E3 this year put in simple words would have to be: Disappointing. I could just post this as done, no other thoughts and go with the cliche of saying how much I think E3 was lacking in games, but I know you people don't want that. You guys want to hear real thoughts that I have and things that I have to expand on why E3 was such a disappointment. Hello and welcome to this cliche of an already late post.

What Were you Looking Forward to Seeing?

Image result for bethesda e3 2017\

Well, I was excited to see what Bethesda had to show us. They teased us that there were going to be two titles to be announced, and it was obviously going to be what Todd Howard kept saying most of the work was going towards two unannounced projects which replaced Elder Scrolls VI. I wanted to see what was going to be their new IP and what original, creative idea they were going to show us. The two games they showed us was the teased Wolfenstein 2: New Colossus and Evil Within 2. Both of which are sequels to original ideas. To be honest I liked the Wolfenstein 2, I was craving for one and I got one that is coming out after my Birthday. I plan on getting it. As for Evil Within 2, I did not want to see that, I was disappointed that this game was getting a sequel. "But StarterPack, the game was good, held great suspense and awesome horror!" If you call predictability and holding the player's hand for the entirety of the game as horror and suspense, I don't think you should have the judgement then. "But it was fun to play." I know this is an opinion of mine, and I can't say anything bad about yours or say it's wrong in anyway, it's just I find the game helping the player a but boring. I will take this sequel with a grain of salt, since I see potential in some parts of what they showed us in gameplay footage. I mean, that Camera monster look so out of this world and creepy. I hope they expand on that instead of making it underwhelming like other bosses in the first game.

As for everything else they showed us in the presentation, I have literally no interest in the VR portion of the presentation, nor do I take kindly that they're charging full price for each of them. I know that they look like the same games, but you get to move around, but I think it takes away from the game's charm. I play skyrim for it's battle mechanics, since they seemed fun and largely developed, but when you take that away and give full motion to the weapon swing and aim of bow, it just tones down the game in my opinion. As for the Doom VFR (can see the pun in that) I can see being fun, but I don't see many people buying it for the price along. I mean, who would pay full price for a game that they already have, but in VR. "But that's the improvement!" Do you have a VR headset. Any of you? I bet about 6% of you who are reading this have one in their possession and I bet most of those people don't even want to bother with the setup. I have been with some friends and family who have the device, but don't want to set it because doing so is so clunky and messed up, having you to adjust with the play space and fixing it whenever the game doesn't like it. I do like the concept of VR, but at the moment it's more of an amusement park game to have than an at-home device. So these new titles being converted to VR don't impress me nor makes me want a VR headset. If you think it's fun and all, great, this is just my opinion than a logical statement.

"But StarterPack, what about the Creation Club, having players pay for mods instead of freely downloading them to the game? What do you think about that?" It will die within a year....

What Did You Like about E3?

Image result for wolfenstein new colossus

Nothing was really amazing about E3, so my only answer to this would have to be Wolfenstein 2. I know this is a bit underwhelming, but it's what I liked about E3 this year, I like the shooter and the last game was a meh, so after seeing the improvements they are going to put in the game looks fun. I also love how the game is advertised, they try to make it look like the ad is from that world, trying to rid of any anti-nazi terrorism, is funny and clever to me.

Image result for wolfenstein new colossus collector's edition

Plus, after seeing what the Collector's Edition is was so funny, for the lack of better words. They show it off as a GI-Joe toy from the 70's or 80's and they make BJ look like the bad guy, calling him a terrorist and all. I am a fan of GI-Joes, and I like collectibles like that, so I might get it and since it's in the month my Birthday is, I might ask for it a lot to my family.

What was the Biggest Disappointment?

Image result for xbox e3 2017

Besides Bethesda's disappointing conference, I would have to say both Playstation and Xbox's conference. I bet most of you console war dweebs are shocked to hear that. Sorry, just I don't like this stupid war that much, so excuse me if I insult either side. Anyways, Xbox had basically nothing to show besides one game and Xbox One X's console. Hate the name by the way. I know many PC dweebs can say that the console is too expensive and PC is better to have and all, but who cares. That stuff is nothing, but stupid comments to begin with. I don't personally care, I like what I have right now with my awesome TV and Original Xbox One. It's basically the same console and not the next gen kind of deal.

The one thing I am concerned about the Xbox One X's abilities is shading. "What's wrong with that? It's just a simple coding system, putting shadow placements on objects such as your body where they will show according to a specific light source placement. What's wrong with that?" Well, if you own a PC and have Minecraft in your library, you might have wanted that shading mod in Minecraft and shading is a game breaker mod. I know it's simple, but Minecraft is a simple game, you would've to have a supercomputer to render such a thing without lag or freezing, so seeing that Microsoft was cocky enough to show that, I wonder what kind of mayhem the console will face when that update happens.

Image result for playstation e3 2017

As for Playstation. Not many games caught my eye, but the one that did in a bad way was fishing... In VR... I think I laughed through mostly the entire stream when they showed that. When they announced that game, they tricked the audience that Playstation will have Final Fantasy on VR, but it's fishing in VR in the world of Final Fantasy 15. "Well, I say it's a cool idea and a great way to pump up sales and... and... and..." No, I don't want businessmen saying that ideas like that are great. I know this might be fun, but I think a lot of people out there want to play Final Fantasy in VR instead of just fish in it. I know there are some cool looking fish in there, but I think I much rather play the original game in VR, fighting legendary monsters and bosses in a world I have never been in yet. I know that many fans out there will agree with me.

As for the awaited Last of Us 2 gameplay reveal, I was disappointed to see that Uncharted had to take its place. I know people like the damn game, but still, I much rather play something else than the same thing thrown at us for the fifth time. I wanted to see that more than anything along with my sister, and I would have to say Playstation had barely anything to please their audience.

What about Nintendo?

Image result for nintendo e3 2017

It was nothing I haven't seen so far, I didn't like nor did I want to see the Rabbids in Mario, but I guess it's fun. I know that not many could agree with me since Nintendo fans are just Yesmen now, but I thought the entire conference was boring and nothing new to what we see, as for most of the conferences.

What was Your Favorite Conference?

Image result for devolver digital e3 2017

I know this is a bit of a downer, but I loved Devolver Digital's conference. I know that the games they showed off were very underwhelming and questionable for a first ever appearance in E3, but I liked their humor while doing so. I mean, they made fun of the stupid and corporate companies in E3 that are trying to both relate to you and shove their product in their face and in this E3, it felt like that throughout the entire time of E3. I'm just glad they didn't go to the Meme side of humor, dabbing or doing anything like that to add to the cringe of E3. I loved their use of dark humor and the green dude in the background, with his pingpong balls falling off as he walked across the stage.

The games they flashed were bad in my opinion, but it seemed like they knew that already, by joking about Earliest Access and all that. I mean, to think about it critically, the new Serious Sam game made me want to facepalm. I wanted a Serious Sam 4, not a Bullet Dungeon clone! But there show they put on got my mind off of it. Still not going to buy it, but I liked it.

Image result for what do you think gif

I know this is a late response to the E3 clash, but I at least wanted to show my thoughts on it before it completely faded through time. In my opinion, E3 was awful this year, not releasing anything new, unless you are the few excited about Anthem, but there were some things I like about it, very few that I liked about it, but there were some. What do you think? Do you have anything unspoken thoughts that I haven't seen yet? Maybe not, but please tell me down bellow... God that felt weird saying that... 'Til next time...

Everything Wrong with Halo 5: Guardians

When a game is fan favorite since the game's first release, you know you have a lot in your hands since this is going to be the most defining thing in your life. If you mess up, you will be looked down upon. Change something about the game that defined the series, you will be hated, make the game into something you think is better, you will never be liked. 343 took Halo in their hands and threw it in the trash can as they tried to manufacture something similar to what they threw away. Hello and welcome to this completely strange thought blog.

Image result for halo 5

I had the game a long time ago, when the game first launched. I say long time ago because I haven't played it since launch. When I actually did, my original thoughts, where the company is trying to destroy the original franchise, making it their own, were almost gone. I still hold somewhat the same mindset, but I have different opinions about it. The story, to begin with, is a bit boring. "Well, that's typical, StarterPack!" I know, but that's just about it. You can play the game's campaign with the same amount of fun as any other good Halo game, but if you bought the game for the story, that's long gone. I mean, it's still enjoyable and the company who owns it did a good job with the gameplay, with a fair balanced damage system with each difficulty, good enemy health and largely funny comments from both enemies and allies in the game. If you came for nostalgia, there is barely any of it since almost every asset from the original games are gone, sound effects, character designs, weapons, everything is gone, replaced with something else, to some may say is a good thing. It truly makes me mad to see some of the good things in the games just not there anymore, but to those new to the game or just looking to play alone, Halo 5 is a good game to play.

The only problem I see about this game's campaign was how they excluded splitscreen multiplayer. I know that's a big topic that a lot of people have already talked about, but I just don't see why 343 thought it would be fun to do this. Halo has been the only game that encouraged and kept splitscreen for how fun it was to play with someone right next to you. Seeing that gone with this game, in the hands of a new company seems very disconcerting. I really saw it as them saying that it was their game now, kind of an insult to veteran players of the series. But at least we can play all together online in the campaign with more than two players on screen! Wait... The only friend I have who has Halo doesn't own... Xbox Live... Damn...

And if you want me to talk about the Locke/Chief thing, I want no part in it. I thought it was stupid how they had to advertise it like their was some kind of real debate who was better. Of course everyone is going to say Chief! Chief is life! He is love!

Image result for halo 5 multiplayer

Other than that, the game's multiplayer changed dramatically. Fun, but completely different. It felt like a Call of Duty clone than anything else, with the boost mechanics, a lot of camping spots as I noticed, the CoD-like points that buy you CoD-like battlepacks, etc.. The old gameplay was gone. The suit power ups, something that can define the game itself, was built into the player's abilities, unable to be able to choose one from a large variety. The jump pack was already on you, the sprinting the module was on you as well (Either for the better or worse, whatever you think), it felt so different and new. You can say so many things about how that can be bad or good, but I'm just going to say it's still fun. I think it was funny how for a while, Forge and few other modes from the original games were gone during release. Took a while to respond, but they managed to do some of what we missed... I want splitscreen again...

I mean, if you like CoD's gameplay to some kind of degree, then this might be the game for you. If you want to play a newer and better looking Halo, then this is not the game for you. You can play some of the forge levels made by awesome players from the community, that's the only that adds a positive outlook on the game for me since that seems like nothing has changed. You can play on classic maps finally, with a look of the same graphics from the Xbox and 360. "But StarterPack, what about the Master Chief Collection on the Xbox One? That has all the great games from the original maps and guns with new or old look graphics, depending on how you want to play." That game has been dead since the middle of last year. And they still haven't fixed the searching bug! Or... Maybe they did and everyone doesn't play it anymore... I still don't like that and it's sad to see that great collection be so barren. I miss the old gameplay and it seems that it's harder to find anyone in that game than the original Titanfall... It takes hours to find a match in that game, while it takes days in Halo.

Image result for halo 5 req packs

Back to the original game, I really don't like the REQ packs in the, having players try and buy new looking weapons or try to unlock a weapon they don't have yet through a roulette wheel of unfairness. Basically every roulette wheel. Anyways, it feels like the developers want more money out of the game that has already sold millions of copies. And seeing that the untouched Halo, that has followed tradition for years as Bungie had it in their hands. Boxes just destroy the purpose of trying to level up and earn things through that. I know this is a very common thing to say about a "Loot Box", but what else am I suppose to say? I'm a freaking Halo fan!

All together, I like the game a little bit, but enough for me to add it to my top ten, but enough to say it's fun. What do you guys think? Does any of you still play Halo? Does anyone even play on the Collection here? I want to know! Please! 'Til - "Wait!" What is it!? "What do you think of the assassination kills and their animation? They're cool, the one thing they followed from the originals that just felt so satisfying to perform. And 'til next - "Wait!" What now?! "What about the new aiming mechanic?" It's hit and miss. 'Til... You're not going to do it again? "No..." Okay, 'til next time...

Abstract Review - The Last of Us

Naughty Dog has some greats through their run, giving us Crash Bandicoot in their early days, giving us a new platforming experience. Then it was Uncharted giving us a new story to ponder and a character love even more than the game itself. Then, the only game of the cinematic franchise they've been treading on, Last of Us came with a new understanding of a broken man and a girl he cares for. The Zombie trope has already been tread upon so many times, but they seemed to find a realistic way of creating them. And a new way of fearing the possibility. The game was praised for its deeply cinematic story and heartfelt characters; the gameplay, although mildly scarce, was fun and praised for the toughness of the AI. As a person who loves a good story and Zombies, I went into the game 4 years after its original release. Hello and welcome to this Abstract Review. Beware for spoilers as well.

A lot of people like to compare this game to Naughty's other franchise, Uncharted, saying it has a similar story arc and cast of characters. I disagree mostly due to how heavily shown these characters are given to you. Tess, being a strong, Tom Boy-like woman, she was give a lot of character, showing that she is more than just a woman with strength. As seen in a scene of the prologue, you pass by some ghetto areas, where there are fights being bet on and people asking for ration cards in tattered clothing. As soon as you go in this area with a man guarding an entrance, the guard gives some slack to Joel, but soon backs away as soon as Tess shows up on screen, telling the guard he's with her. That little moment, even though small, shows she is either friends with someone big or she once killed a man with her bare hands; she was well developed within those two seconds and is even brought more to the table as you went on with the game. Uncharted, did a different approach, giving the player/viewer a scene of the character, showing them in their peaceful state. Like as they did in the movies Die Hard and Red. You love those characters because they are fun when they're calm, and becomes more and more interesting when they're in action. Last of Us doesn't try to approach that matter of character, they show every side of this person, having you be able to guess what they might do, which can be turned on it's head very easily, which leads up to my next point.

What they do with their characters adds this sense of poetry to it, Tess seems to be tough nut to crack, showing everything else, but the weak side of her character, making her death so much of a hard hit. The fear in her eyes, seeing that bite on her wrist, was a new unveiling of the character she has. She shows a sign of weakness and has to tough it out and die before she turns. This impact on the main character was also a good show of Tess's character, Joel being shocked and appalled by this new show of weakness of her character. This shines in the game, having each character, even though some are hardly shown or never given a proper character reveal, have this personality and be able to feel every piece of emotion of these characters. To Elley, Joel, even the military has this put into them, making it feel like, as almost everyone watch you play the game say, a movie.

Image result for the last of us gameplay

As for the game itself, the gameplay has a strong mixture of stealth killing with hard action gunslinging in it. Although those two should never touch each other, the developers seemed to be able to alter each side to fit the game's overall feel. You can sneak up to someone and choke them out, but that can take a while and risk everyone seeing you. This should be the fear in most modern stealth games, having the fear being seen. That feeling adds to the fun of the game's stealth gameplay, which I personally love, and being seen makes the fight so much harder. Once you're seen, everyone takes cover and tries to fire at you. The AI in these situation are just marvelous to me, having them be able to flank you by utilizing cover. This can give the enemy AI this kind of sentience to them, having it feel as if they planned this attack. Having one put you under fire and one quietly flank you and having you meet with a 2X4 to the back of the noggin. I truly love that of the AI, making them feel like people are playing as them, or they know they're fighting. Uncharted's Combat was more of downgrade compared to this game, having each AI just shoot endlessly at you, not taking a care about staying alive. And what I love is that the game doesn't hold your hand about this. If you get hit, you have to suck it up and throw a punch back.

Speaking of which, the game has the player get a feeling of a survivalist, giving the player a short amount of ammo and little supply to build anything, even on easy difficulty. If you run out, utilize the surroundings provided and flank the guy shooting at you. And can I say that each punch is just so relaxing when it lands? It's so fun when you enter a fist fight.

Image result for the last of us infected

The one thing I wish the developers did was utilize the infected AI in a human environment, having players fear more about getting noticed. A gunshot can lure nearby infected and have them chase the enemy down and swarm the player for how clumsy he was. I guess that's a bit unfair, but I think they could have made the AI adapt to that by having them only use their guns when they find you up close or something of that nature. I guess that's just my idea for a feared infected AI. Speaking of which, The infected AI is so magnificent, they are feared to the player for their tendency of being in packs. The AI know who's the player and what's the AI, having them target the player or whatever is more aggressive. I like that, but I think they should have the AI get the hands of anything they could, having the player be more protective of Elley, when the moment arises. I think that would have utilized more of the gadgets in the game since I tend to never want to use them.

As for the specially infected, the Clickers and Bloaters being the most unique of any Zombie genre , they had some great mechanics around them: 1) they both can't see, 2) they are both aggressive and 3) they're instant death on touch. That adds a lot to fear about them, but the mechanics given to the player to avoid death is very fun to use. When you are found by them, you can always divert their attention somewhere else by through a bottle or brick at them and run the opposite direction. It's kind of like how Dead Rising was, you could grab A Chunk of Meat and throw it and watch the Zombies run towards this delicious Chunk of Meat you threw. That kind of mechanic adds this kind of animalistic feel to them, showing the player that they are less than human and are more of a monster.

Image result for the last of us fireflies

I know this is mostly praise and all, but there is one thing I don't think I like about the game's story. As we all know, the "Terrorist" group, Fireflies, have found a way of a cure and the only way of creating one is through this little girl with a strong immunity of this fungal infection. You fight your way to get to these doctors working for this "Terrorist" group, just to deliver this girl safely to the Fireflies, the "Terrorist" group. Of all things I have learned, the military has identified this group as Terrorist against the American government, which is already corrupt. With this said, the group is now known as a threat to the people and everyone sees them as such. And now they want to find a cure. When they ever do find a cure to this awful, fungal disease, I don't think anyone would ever want that cure since everyone sees them as an enemy to society. The military, being corrupt, would identify this cure as a toxin, being a poison and will give you aids. You know, like what the government will always do. So this attempt of finding a cure would be a complete failure, so seeing that Joel killed the leader of the fireflies wasn't much of a bad thing, she was going to sacrifice Elley for basically nothing and break her mother's promise for nothing, making the Fireflies a worse group than bandits. "But the government is small and fragile! They can easily take them down." If you remember much of the prologue, they were killing anyone that they wanted, either infected or not. They might appear small, but they have more power than most in the game's world.

Well, I hope you liked this. I had fun writing it and all, but truly hope you enjoyed this little bit of criticism. If I were to rate this game, it would be a 9/10 with gameplay and full 10 for its story. I love this game a lot and seeing that they're making a sequel, I hope they surpass this game, because they have a lot to lead up to. Again, I hope you enjoyed this and 'til next time...

I've always liked anime... Actually my dad introduced it to me, with Robotech and Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, giving me a new fandom to carry. I've played Persona 5 recently and liked, the anime look was nice and the turn based gameplay was actually fun, not having a tedious and time consuming animation. I just loved it. As I played, looking at the artstyle it had, I thought of which anime would be a great game. Tons came to mind and most of which surprised they were without one. Hello and welcome to this countdown.

4. Cowboy Bebop

Image result for Cowboy Bebop game

I don't know if I could count this since their is already a game of this great space opera, but the game was only ever released in Japan on the PS2. From what I read, the game got some good reception, having some decent ratings in Japan. It's long after the PS2, so why not have a remaster of the game on PS4, with the original voices from both dubs to support their roles such as Steve Blum or Koichi Yamadera as Spike.

From what I saw in gameplay footage, it's a beat'em up that feels a lot like a lost episode. I mean, there is more action than there is story, but it doesn't seem to break the source material at all. That game even seems to interest more than just the fan base, which would make this a possible sell if marketed right.

3. Parasyte

Image result for Parasyte

Many can argue that this show, like many, can be either better or worse than the Manga. I never read it, but the show is a very interesting horror, taking the idea of John Carpenter's The Thing and making it more morbid than the movie itself. I don't know if there's already a game out there about the anime, but from what I looked up, there's only simple flash games made by teenagers and fans.

I really don't know what the game would be, though. Maybe a hidden murderer kind of game, where you have to find out who has the Parasyte without killing anyone innocent. I don't know though, it would get boring fast, but the concept sounds like it could be expanded upon. You do a Parasyte vs. Parasyte battle, having abilities different each match, I don't know. Maybe just a horror game where you're just a simple human that has to run out a building full of Parasytes. The show has a lot to tread on with video games.

2. Space Dandy

Image result for Space Dandy

He's a Dandy Guy... In Space... Same artist who did Cowboy Bebop, the show revolves around a Alien Hunter with a robot named QT and a cat alien named Meow who are trying to get money from registering unlicensed aliens. He goes around the galaxy doing nothing, but silly crap as he drifts completely away from his mission on finding an unlicensed alien. To most, there is nothing for there to work with as a game, but I think it would be a great idea to make a Telltale game around the character, having an episodic adventure through space as you go to a galactic Hooters called Boobies.

I think the developer would do nicely with this show, since they did a good job with Borderlands, the game that has nearly nothing to work with in terms of story. They would have lots of room to work with since each episode they die and start over in a different universe, so they can do anything they please without having to worry about the damaging the source material.

1. Wakfu

Image result for Wakfu

I might be breaking some rules on this one and making a lot of hardcore animes fans mad since this show is a French Animation. Just hear me out on this one. This show has some Japanese esque characters and artstyle, having a some liability to be on this list. Besides, the show would be a good RPG, having some elements and charm as Dragon Quest. Maybe some of the comedy and childness of Paper Mario.

I would love to see a game by this show, there is so much to work with in the game, having some potential to be successful and be a classic. Along with each unique character, seeing them in action would be both fun and heartwarming to me, especially for a children's game.

I hope you enjoyed this list. You don't know how hard this was, having to check my list of favorite animes and going through an enormous list of animes I never heard of just to see if they don't have a game and would make a good one. Kind of shows why it's so short. Sorry about that by the way. There is too many animes that have games already. Again. I hope you enjoyed this and if you know any that would make a good game, please tell me. I would actually love to see what I missed in those lists. 'Til next time...

The air grew cold as the sun had left hours past, men and women of the Joraal march for the beginning of their revolution. Majors and leaders were on horseback, in the front lines as they wore their armor proud and held their flags high as they roamed the forest towards the first slave land they have been waiting to destroy, Higgins Estate. The men sang for their people of stories of the old days, the calm lives they use to live that felt long lost. The women marched with crossbows on their backs as they sang with the men, swords drawn and raised to the skies in the names of their lost loved ones. Kos`El felt afraid, that this war would end in a defeat. He lead his horse to Bong. “You lead these people with a heart of iron, Bong.”

“I did,” she replied.

“They don’t even fear death, they wish to go to war and end the human’s reign. But what about defeat?”

“It won’t happen, Kos`El.”

“They don’t even fear about loss.”

“Unlike you years ago? Come on then, you wanted this war just as well as they did.”

“Yes, but this war seemed as if victory was afoot, but something feels wrong, I just don’t know what.”

“You are just worrying, Kos`El. If you don’t want to fight, then go back to the lair with the sick and old. They need the help with all of us gone.” He felt the cold chill of the air as his horse galloped through the tall grass as trees began lessen. “Stay back towards the tree line!” she shouted to the army, “We must keep the element of surprise.” She stood her horse in the trees, men drawing swords, women pulling the string of their crossbows, they were ready. A Joraal brough Bong a telescope, she looked through and saw three English horses by the walls. “Just on time.”

***

I could hear the past, hours ago, the words of a bargain. Higgins smiled as he uttered the words, “I want you to change someone’s mind.” Khal`En pondered on what he was asking for, strings of what he meant flew through his mind, what he wanted him to do with this knife as those glassy, old eyes stared into Khal`En’s soul.

“What do you mean, sir?”

“You remember those people, the kind family that visited not too long ago?”

“I do, sir. The people who had to leave early.”

“Yes.” He gave a sinister grin. “I want you to nick those children they have. They won’t do no harm to you, unless you let them scream. Don’t kill yourself over this, Khal`En.” He took the knife as the guards stepped forward. “These men will watch you until the border of my estate ends. If you try to escape, crossbow bolts tipped with the plague would kill you painfully in the woods. And if you are away for too long, your son won’t be alive to know you’re passing.” A guard grabbed Khal`En’s shoulder. “You understand?”

“Yes, Master.” The word master was word he now despised, he wanted to do something, one wrong suggestion would cause him eternal pain.

He walked outside of the cabin, Joraal in the fields stared at him as if he was a thief. Concerned eyes, snarl look, they thought he was in luxury. A guard made a gesture at Gatekeepers as the gates opened. Two guards stepped beside Khal`En with crossbows with a yellow vile on their wastes. “Move Khaja,” the guard shoved him out. He walked slowly out of the entrance he never thought he would take a step out of as the guards tightly gripped on the crossbows with their lifeless eyes staring at him the entire way. I followed as the sun dove into the horizon. The cold air was pleasant on the skin with warm winds brushing you. It was a beautiful sunset night, but Khal`En didn’t see anything in beauty anymore, the knife in his hand, his misty eyes finally collapsed with tears. No gasp, no pants of sadness, only the stream of tears down his face.

A sign down the road, backwards it was. Khal`En stopped walking. One of the guards kicked him in the arse, “Get a move on Khaja!” he said as he fell to the ground, kneeling. “What is wrong wit’ dis one?”

“He’s probably sobbin’ abou’dis. The borda is righ’dare!”

“Oh f**koff this one!” He pointed his crossbow on Khal`En’s chin. “You know what we were told! The King’s Plague is a fate worse than death, you f**kwit khaja!” He stood up as the crossbow followed him. “That’s it, Khaja! We got a map righ’ear, you follow those lines and do as your masta told ya.” He didn’t speak. With the knife clenched in his hands, he stared at the guard with his crossbow pointed at him. “You gonna go or are you gonna keep standin’ear and cryin’ your eyes ou-” He felt a sharp push on his chest. He could hardly breathe or shed a word as if he was drowning. He looked down and saw the Joraal plunged a knife into him. Khal`En grabbed his crossbow and aimed it at the other guard. “What the f**king…” The guard said as he pointed his crossbow at the Joraal. The guard saw his friend on the floor, staring at the sky as his mouth gushed blood. “Look… Look’ear… I’ll let you go and say you and my fella’dare died from a fallin’ tree, okay?”

Tears still streaming down his straight face, he spoke softly, “I don’t trust your people anymore.” He pulled the hair trigger on the crossbow as the bolt landed down his left eye. His body fell as the crossbow in his hands fired at Khal`En, hitting him in the chest. The pain had him scream into the night as crows flew scared overhead. He could feel it in his lungs, making every breath harder to breathe. He looked over to his shanked guard and saw him smiling and trying to laugh as his soul began to leave his eyes.

A bolt in his chest, he laid on the dirt road as the stars were the only thing he wanted to see before he dies. A muffled sound of a horse’s hooves entered the ears of Khal`En. He could see the horse over him as a Knight in silver a crimson armor lept onto the floor. His eyes were menacing to him, his left being a milky white with a scar across it. That was the last thing he saw in his days alive, until he saw me standing with the Knight.

He felt the air enter his lungs without the pain preventing him. He stood up as the Knight and his horse were frozen in place. He took one look at me and I could myself change. A mask appeared over my face, having a beautiful feminine blank stare on it. “Do you know what happened.” I said with a womanly gentle voice.

“What happening? Am I still alive? Are you one of the gods?”

“I am merely one of their servants, Khal`En.”

“How do you know my name?”

“I’ve been watching over you. Since the death of your wife.”

“Are you…?”

“I am whatever you imagine me.”

“What will become of me?”

“Nothing.”

“What do you mean? I must have a purpose with you!” He shouted.

“You must embrace your truth first.”

“What truth!?” I reached out and pointed to his corpse. “So I’m…”

“You are.”

“Then... “ He paused.

“Then what, Khal`En?”

“Then I’m with her…”

“She can be. You must embrace your truth first.”

“No...No! I must run and save my son from that… Awful place! You must have some kind of arrangement.” There was one.

“Would you like to play a game?”

“What?”

“You win: your death is irrelevant. I win, you join your lover.” I could see his thoughts even in this realm. He was hesitant to agree with the offer, but images of his lover appeared.

“What are we going to play.” I pull my skeletal hands out from under my robes and revealed dice.

“Have you ever played Evens, Khal`En?”

“I have a few times at the farm,” he gave me a troubled look. “I believe you already knew that.”

“What’s your bet, Khal`En?” He called evens. I rolled the dice on the dirt ground and landed a three and two. I looked at him, but all he saw was the blank look of my mask, “Five, Khal`En. Do you have any questions before you go?” He looked away from me.

“Will she be there? In paradise?”

“You believe she will be, yes.” A bright ora illuminated around him as he made a smile. “Do you see the moons in the horizon?” He nodded, “Walk to them and paradise will await you.” He walked to the moons ahead of him as I felt my mask sink into my robes.

Image result for Nintendo is bad

I love Nintendo, okay. I have an appreciation for their games and some that may be unpopular, but I still consider their works a piece of art. So if any of you Nintendo Freaks think I hate them and me making this post is offending you, then just don't read. I know there are some things that a lot of you, or maybe some, that don't know Nintendo's process of making a game. Some are actually very poetic and better than most companies who handle a new title, but they were greedy when they were in the fame back in the 80's. Hello and welcome to this truth-filled thought blog.

Image result for Nintendo is bad

Okay to start, since Nintendo was taking the light that was Atari, they were the only ones who were the desired company to sell games. Yes, there was the Sega Master System, but no one liked that console sadly. So, to not do what Atari had did (Having any game to have their licensing on it and sell it without seeing if it would sell), they made an entire process to make a game be on Nintendo. The game had to go through this process of whether the game would be fun, work on the console and nothing to upset the audience or destroy Nintendo's image. And before they accepted, the company or person who submitted their game had to pay $200 to see if they were worthy to be on their console. To many, this was a good security check for a game, to not create the crash of 83 again, but it was a painful process. Having to spend as little as possible to be apart of a still new business and risk whether or not this game would sell after paying a hefty $200 to just have it out there. There were some who went past that process and made illegal copies of their own game, but those game were sold either in an alleyway or in a Swap Meet, having barely any cartridges sold.

I believe there was even a private protests against NIntendo's policy to put a game on their console, but was mostly unheard of to the public, barely having any lash on the company. I don't know if that's true though. I found it on a site a while back, but can never find it. You can take my word for or not, it's your choice. Anyways, This also made some good with the games on the console, having people to strive to do their demands or do multiple submissions after tweaking your game, making the game have a passionate team working to release their game on a successful console. Unfair, but it encouraged better performance. Even the head of Nintendo at the time, being a person who never played a game in his life, was passionate of making any game fun and making sure he had the right people do so such as trusting Miyamoto in what he thought was a good game. You can say that their policy was bad, but it had a perfect purpose in the gaming industry to stay alive for what it was.

Image result for Adventures of Link

Although that wasn't as fiendish as most can think, but Nintendo had another thing that they still do today, along with one other thing. Whenever they thought something they released wasn't going to sell past the Japanese market, they decreased stock in European and Western markets to make them more valuable and given more fame than they already should. The first product they gave this treatment to was the hated Zelda II: Adventures of Link. It was a first attempt of a sequel and the fear of a game to fail for them was completely possible, so to not be fired from the company, they made copies low and you know the rest. In America, the game was sought after, having people create lines that would go through stoplights out of the store. There was even a guy who went cross country for the game that wanted the it for collector's sake, he was put on the news and the game was given free advertising, having people speculate that the game was awesome and needed to be had. So in return, the game wasn't considered a fail to the company.

This followed with other products in the future such as the Amiibos and the famous NES Classic Edition. Remember the whole Amiibo shortage, having some Amiibos exceed the thousands price range? Yeah, that was a tactic for Nintendo make a product more mainstream. And how they stopped production for the NES Classic to leave room for the SNES Classic. No, it was so that they don't have to waste resources to give the product a shelf to call home. It's a pretty greedy tactic, but Amiibos were stop talked about recently and people are still willing to pay hundreds of dollars to buy an NES Classic, so they did a good job being able to make us want it.

Image result for Playstation vs. Nintendo

Past that, Playstation was going to be the next console for Nintendo while partnering with Sony. They had so many redesigns, having them fight whether it should be cartridge based with games  and have a CD player attached to it or have it be entirely CD based. At the time, that was the staple for any piece of technology, being determined as "high tech." They separated after a few disagreements and Sony made the Playstation, while owning the rights to name entirely, in protest against Nintendo, making the console entirely CD based, making it seem more high tech than any other console. I love that, though. Sony had some balls to do such a thing as this. And to make it even worse for Nintendo, they created a new way of putting a game on a famous console. They had no process of which a game had to be accepted, they just paid someone a lot of money to flip Nintendo off with the next best game after Mario. Many would say that Playstation had a poor attempt of fighting Nintendo, but look at them now.

To keep their Nintendo Policy, they made their next console, the N64, to be only cartridge based. Although being inferior to their competitor, they still made great games in a cartridge that made so many great classics and generation defining games.

What does this have to do with being fiendish? I mean yeah, that can be just a refusal to follow what their competitor has, but it was basically game lock in hiding. If you look at articles from that time, there are a lot of people complaining about how Final Fantasy 7 wasn't on the N64. Well, FF7 was a game that carried three CDs in one box to play the entire game and CDs carried 12 time the memory and power of that compared to a cartridge. How many cartridges do you think would be put in an N64 box of FF7? Maybe 5 or 7, being generous. It would be overpriced, seeing how much materials would take to make that many cartridges, having to make every other version follow the same price or similar, having the game be a risk to both companies.

They basically made this console cartridge based to put another lock on their system so no one can sell a game without acceptance by Nintendo. They followed this rule since that console, having the Gamecube use awfully small, but cute CDs to play games and the recent Switch being only cartridge based, having every developer to go through the acceptance process with Nintendo to put it on their console. A smart move, even without their $200 fee before acceptance. I guess Nintendo had more balls than Playstation had. Although now it doesn't matter to be on a Nintendo Console since Xbox and Playstation have an easier and painless process to have a game out there and considering Indies have the PC realm to play with. Now, it's just Pirate Protection instead of Game Lock.

I would have to say, even though Nintendo is a friendly company, they're still a corporate company that want in the competition as much as Xbox and Playstation after taking Nintendo's thunder. What do you guys think? After reading this, would you still call Nintendo a friendly company to trust or did you already know this and don't care if Nintendo does something wrong? I would actually like to know honestly. I want to know if the majority know about these things. Well, I hope you enjoyed this read, been a while since I wrote something this fun, so I hope you like it. And 'til next time...

CWC: I Love History

I love history. It's something that I loved since I was a little kid. Although most of it was depressing and scary to a lot of kids, I thought it was cool how all the choices one person made changed the entire world and its thoughts. It reflects a lot of our society and helps people understand why people do things and how things are now. I just love it. Many Historians say that their Gramps influenced them about how awesome history was, but me? It was all about one game and that game was Call of Duty. Hello and welcome to this Community Writing Challenge.

Call of Duty was the main influence with me, how the game was based around a hundred year old war known as World War II, seeing that a game like this was based on a real event was mind blowing to me as a kid. Saying that these people in the game might have been real and the battles in the game were all real and key events in WWII history was just amazing to me. Although the war was one of the biggest world changing events in history after the "War to End All Wars," WWI, I still thought it was cool. I believe this game was the reason why I love The Iron Giant so much.

WWII shooters have been a big part of why I'm a gamer and I followed those kinds of games as a kid, playing anything that CoD had. Up until CoD's modern era games, I still look for those kinds of shooters such as Wolfenstein or Brother in Arms. I've always loved them and anything that followed historic battles. Battlefield 1 being on of my favorite Multiplayer Shooters, despite its flaws.

Image result for kennedy vs. Castro

I was interested in history and anything involving it, either it be altered or true stories. I made sure I was in classes that involved history from Elementary to High School. Although I got a few bad grades out of it, I still loved being in those classes, learning about the choices that people made then and how it affected all of us. How Napoleon sold French Colonies to the Americans called the Louisiana Purchase. How he lost in his Conquest of total control of Europe, having the Russians do something called Scorched Earth. And how Hitler repeated his action after admiring Napoleon, causing another Scorched Earth in Russia. How about when Kennedy denied air support during the Bay of Pigs, having ground troops lose the battle, screwing up America's image?

I just love history like that. Especially the Cold War times, being the most fierce war in recent times, although having no conflict or battle with either nation. Just pure Political Drama. That would have to be my favorite time period to learn, having it be like a War Drama, but without the war. I think Black Ops. 1 was one of my favorite CoDs, taking place in that era. I know it's all politics and all, but know that I don't pick a side. I just like watching the chaos, why I love Parliament meetings so much. Not like a meeting in America where everyone talks and acts civilized, they bring out their fists, arguing and all. I just love watching a political figure punching someone over political differences.

Well, That's basically it. I know this is short (and I'm sorry for it), but I hope you enjoyed a little insight of my personality. What do you think about history in games? I hear a lot of people say it's wrong to do that. You know what, make that the topic in the comments. I would love to hear what people think about historical games. Is it an honorable tribute to those who died in the war, or is it an insult? Talk about it! 'Til next time...

Abstract Review - Destiny 2 Beta

Destiny was one of my favorite games of 2015. I didn't like it at launch because of how restricted it felt and DLC being overpriced for what it was. My sister got the game for Christmas with all the DLC and it was great. I played for two years and hearing the developers were planning a new game was amazing to me. For those who think the game was dead from the start, hated the fact that it was and doesn't deserve it, it was a chance for Bungie to redeem themselves in the awful attempt of creating a great story in a game, and so far after the Beta, I am generally pleased with what they have done so far.

The game throws the play in the story mode from the beginning and shows off the characters (you go to constantly in the first game) in action. I loved that part of the Beta, you never see them in action, but you're told that they're the most elite Guardians on Earth and know more tactics than a war veteran. I am genuinely glad they're doing this, they made them so cool and seeing them show off their moves is so rewarding. You see Cayde kill a few things as he casually strolls by, Ikora destroys a ship in anger, and you fight alongside Zavala! I doubt any of you would know these characters beside Cayde, but god those people were awesome, giving this meaning to these characters instead of NPCs you receive missions and rewards from. And seeing the place that every Destiny Player called home was a battleground, being destroyed constantly by the Cabal. It really gives off a certain emotion you're suppose to feel from the disaster you're witnessing. And the villain is so great, having a goal that affects you and all your friends and you want to stop him. That's the kind of villain I want from games these days, they always try to make it poetic or out of place with no clear goal for them to follow. I hope they make him more of villain in the game, either killing key characters or something of that sort.

Image result for Destiny 2

The design they put in the maps were all so stunning as well. I mean, there was a few things that were out of place, like some clipping shadows or objects clipping inside of each other, but I can get over them. I especially love the Plaza part of the story mode, where you fight with Zavala, it looked like the Tower was vulnerable and needed heavy assistance. And I noticed the Ball you play with in the first game is popped and melted in the stairs heading towards Zavala. I don't know about any of you guys, but I had some fond memories with that ball... I loved playing soccer with it... That moment seeing that ball destroyed and gone forever, I want to kill every single last one of those Cabal freaks.

And apparently, there's not going to be a silent protagonist. Those of you RP Players won't be given a chance to voice your own character anymore since the protagonist already has one. Personally I like that, I always thought it was weird when your character doesn't respond to certain reaction in the first game, it just made it feel as if your character wasn't involved. And the voice actors playing the guardians are great, they're easy to listen to and have a powerful voice, which fits the voice of a hero that's going to save everyone and the "Light." The only thing I didn't like about the Beta was that the races were randomized along with the sex of the character. I'm all for a strong woman and all, but I don't wanna be an Awoken. I know that this is all that they have finished at the moment, but I want to see voice differences in the game! I guess it's just one of my opinions I can't get over... Yeah, it is. Either way, I loved the Female Awoken Voice Lines in the little story we had, they all were well acted and I can't wait to see what else they have in store for your character.

Speaking of your character, it seems like you're going to have all your weapons in the beginning until the end of the prologue, because you get a freaking Exotic at the beginning and everything you have is Legendary. I don't know if that's actually going to happen, but I hope it does. I think it would support the player's hatred for the villain and motivation to stop him , taking all of your gear and having to start over. Plus, having to go from Last Gen to New Gen sounds cool to me, your gear transcending from the best you had in the old game to best you had in this new one. I would genuinely love that if they did that.

On to the weapons, they changed up the weapons in the game, primarily for PvP sake. If you're unfamiliar with the previous game's weapon slot, your primary had three weapons: Auto Rifle, Scout Rifle and Pulse Rifle. Your Secondary was Shotguns, Sniper Rifles and Fusion Rifles then Sidearms later. And your Heavy was Machine Guns and Rocket Launchers then Swords later. Now you can have an Auto Rifle in your Primary and Secondary Slot. The reason for this is because your Primary is Kinetic Damage and your Secondary is Elemental Damage. For those who don't know, Kinetic is good against enemies with shields or weak spots, while Elemental is good against Armor and Elemental Opposites. The Elemental Opposites in the first game didn't really matter since mostly any type of damage does the same amount with each weapon regardless and had nothing to determine which element was which. I don't think it would matter in this game either, but who knows, they have a Scorch Cabal as an elemental enemy.

Image result for destiny 2 subclasses

The abilities, on the other hand, are changed up. The Titans are given the Striker and Defender Class, both from the original game. The Striker Class is different from the first game, having you do a ground pound and walk further to do it again with the same amount of damage. The grenades are the same for the most part as well as the punch. Then there's the Defender Class, having a new ability instead of creating a bubble shield. You can become Captain America with a shield to deflect bullets and beat your foes to a blood pulp. If you want to use the bubble shield, you can hold both button to activate the ability and the bubble will appear, doing the same effects as they did before. You can also have a Wall Shield or a Cover Shield. The Cover Shield being a waist high cover, having the player be able to provide a new cover to duck under. The Wall Shield a complete see through wall. You can't shoot through it, but you can see where your enemies are heading or where they're going to flank.

The Hunter has the Arcstrider and Gunslinger classes. The Arcstrider ability is mostly just Blade Dancer, but with a staff. You can activate that ability and go berserk on anything you can find. The grenades are pretty deadly, having some long lasting areal damage or a quick blinding attack. The Gunslinger is pretty much the same as the previous game's, but you get a third-person view. It still does an awesome amount of damage and the grenades are pretty much the same. The Third ability can be a bit of a downgrade since it's just a roll. The Marksman's Roll is just a plain roll, but automatically reloads your gun. The Gambler's Roll is the same as the other, but if you run into someone, they take damage. I wish they did something cooler with that.

The Warlock has the Voidwalker and the Downblade. I wish they put more thought with the second name since it's such a cool Class compared to the others. Voidwalker is like from the previous game, but instead of throwing a single energy ball, you can choose to shoot a cluster of them at an arc. It takes some getting use to since the changed how the projectile shoots, instead of it going in a straight line, it shoots at an arc (as I said before). The grenades are pretty much the same as well as the melee. Downblade is similar to Arcstrider, but instead each swing is a devastating projectile and you can fly. It really does a lot of damage, having an unfairly long run. The grenades feeling the same as the Super, throwing a ball of burning light or a fiery explosion. The Third Ability is pretty useful in almost any situation: you do a healing ward,  where whoever stands in that area will be healed and get an over shield. There is also a damage boosting ward, where whoever stands on that area will be damage boosted. I think this and the Titan are the best so far and can save the team instead of yourself.

Image result for destiny 2 enemies

Moving on, there is a lot of redesigns for original enemies, like the Fallen, the Vex and the Caba. The Cabal still have those small heads, but not as small to laugh at them. The Fallen might have a new ruling house (or clan, look it up), having them look more edgy and with darker, red clothing. The Vex look pretty much the same, but the Minotaurs have a weak spot now, being the chest. I like that since they didn't have one in the previous game, they were just annoy bullet sponges that teleported and  dealt a lot of damage. Besides that, there are new enemy types for each race. The Fallen have new invisible enemies that hide and snipe the player from afar. When the player is near them, the invisible sniper will dash to a safe spot while cloaked, having the player scramble to the enemy's new location. I think this is a new breed of Fallen since these guys have two arms, but some kind of insect legs on their torso. They're mostly cloaked when you fight them, so you don't notice most of it, but when they dash they do this spider-like crawl while doing so. I love it personally, because I like creepy things, but I can see these things becoming a big annoyance to the community, since they always have dead-on aim whenever you try to dodge their attacks. And the Servitors, the big robot eyes, have a new ability. Instead of healing nearby enemies, they now shield an enemy like one of those Vex Taken, not being able to kill the shielded enemy until the Servitor is dead. At least they made them more of target, instead of a healer than did so little for his job.

Image result for destiny 2 cabal

As for the Cabal, they have four new types of enemies on their hands (obvious because they're going to be the main focus of the game) and they're pretty fun to play with. There is the Scorch Cabal, that I mentioned earlier, that can shoot balls of fire at the player and do constant damage on hit. If they miss, the projectile hits the floor and causes that part of the floor to burn, but do constant damage upon hit. They're as easy as most flamethrower enemies, having the fuel tank protruding over their back being an easy attack since it's just above their head. There are the Shield Cabals. I know they were in the previous game, but these are better. They have an energy shield that deflects all damage until you hit the center and disable the shield entirely. They can also make their shield cover more ground than themselves, but still hold the same weakness for their shield or just rush through it and punch the guy instead. I'm glad they made this change since they use to stop the flow of battle, having players leave those guys for last or waste ammo by missing their feet or hands. Makes them fair to fight, but still a challenge and doesn't stop the flow of battle. There is also a Butcher Cabal (not their real name) that do massive amounts of damage in one hit and have the most health out of the Cabal class. Although I understand they're suppose to be the feared enemy type to make the player focus more in the game, but god don't they just destroy when they give you horde of them. I wish they were more prone to stagger since nothing else about them would have to change, I just want to have a mode to escape his grasp when I need it. Then there's the cleverly named Cavall, the dog types of the game. If you ask me, I hate it when they add dogs to a game. They're always the annoy enemy that just like to stop you from having fun. They're pretty easy to kill and learn, but they are so low from the screen that they can sneak up to you and bite you on the ass. What makes it even more annoying is how they can push you, sometimes destroying your momentum. And the one thing I don't like is how they put so many on screen. Three is enough, but when you spawn four packs of them, it's like running from an actual, single dog. I guess this is just a personal opinion, so I guess you can ignore that one.

Image result for destiny 2 cabal charge

There's also a new ability the Cabal have that allows them B-Line towards you. Why is that an ability? Because! They got an explosive stick on their wrist! I'm not kidding. I don't know if it's suppose to be a stick or a blade, but it still is something to runaway from. I like it since it adds more diversity to them, having them do more than just dodge and shoot at you. If you have a Wall Shield up and they pull out that explosive and run through the shield and rush you as if you were the quarterback. I love how they're changing up the enemies instead of giving us a rehashed version of the same thing. I'm genuinely glad they're doing something to make this game different from the last. I mean, there is some things to get use to, but who doesn't want to see something new.

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this Abstract Review. I really enjoyed the Beta and it feels like the Story is going to be better than the last game, even though there was barely any in that one. I can't wait to play the full game when it comes out and see more new changes they made. Again, I hope you liked this and 'til next time....

As a person with some rare opinions, I've always wanted to say all of my thoughts about the games I either dislike or love. Since I scrapped about 14 of those kinds of blogs, I thought it would be better if I did a brief opinion based say on games I played that wasn't what people said it was. I know that this could make people mad, but that's my intention. Although I want to do that, I don't want to make people hate me. This is all opinion, like I said before, so don't rock your socks off with what I say. Hello and welcome to this overrated countdown.

10. Overwatch

Image result for overwatch

I know many of you might be groaning at this entry, but there is a reason why I put it on the bottom of this list. The game is repetitive and doesn't share as many modes as other multiplayer shooters out there, but it still has some great character pairing. What that means is that you can combine two player's characters with each other and create a devastating combo that can hardly be stopped. I like how the developers get to update the game with new content, giving us new modes, new characters and new maps all for free. We keep the new characters and maps, but the new modes are always going to be taken away. There was a recent mode where you play in Co-op with other players, protecting waypoints and other objectives, and it was actually fun. Too bad it was a limited time event, so anyone who wants to play that mode lost their chance.

There is also something that sucks for new players, since there are so many people playing this game with high ranks, there are so very little players for new ones to pair up with. Match Making is just terrible, having to wait for a match after getting into a skirmish, leaving the only fun being the meaningless Team Death Match. It's nothing like how TF2 is played and can't be compared to such a glorious teambased game. Even if the new Meet Your Match Update f**ked most of the game's great qualities. A good game to have, but doesn't deserve the Game of the Year Award.

9. Elder Scrolls Online

Image result for elder scrolls online

I've talked about this game before, me being mad about how it didn't turn out to be the game I wanted. Either way, the player base has been considerably high. Although not as big as WoW's player base, the game is still being played today. I'm genuinely surprised and a seeing that game got over a 7 rating on most reviews. I really don't see how great this game actually is. For starters, the game gives you an awful clan option that restricts you from certain races and one race is taken away from the roster, the Imperials. If you wanted to be an Argonian in a different clan, you had to pay to be able to do that. And if you wanted to play with a friend in a different clan, you had to find him instead of join his party. I really don't know how any Elder Scrolls fan could go through that without throwing out your PC. And the combat is so awful, having the player not have combination abilities, giving you all these abilities that you won't even want to use, because this one move is quicker than the rest.

The game's missions are even bad, being surrounded with people doing the same thing, your missions are interrupted constantly, having to wait for them to finish or restart the game in general. It feels as if the game was meant to be single player game because of all the mission glitches, where player followers can't do the same mission as you. And the microtransaction are just atrocious, locking certain items from the player and making loot feel so worthless. The game even taunts you for not having the DLC missions, having locked boxes everywhere that would have the player get any better loot from the vanilla game. If you thought Destiny was bad, check this game out.

8. Pokemon

Image result for Pokemon

Don't get me wrong, the first game was fun. I got the game in the late 2000's on a Gameboy Color I got from Goodwill. I had fun with Red and it was very fun. When I went to the newer games in the franchise I found the same game with the thirty dollar price tag. I mean, there were some different pokemon to learn from, but that was basically it. I don't know what else to talk about, each new game from the franchise is just the same rehashed game we got from the 90's. I know that there will be many Pokemon fans that are going to debunk me on this, but my opinion still stands. I just don't get why this game keeps selling when the game is just Pokemon Red and Blue remastered. Why are people hating Bethesda for selling Skyrim 3 times over, when we got more remasters from Pokemon.

And I don't like how there always has to be two games, having different Pokemon with the same game. It seems kind of cheap for Nintendo's sake. And they even made the newest game have an easy cheat for the player, using the best Pokemon they have and all the XP they get goes to the rest of the Pokemon without having to use them. I know this is a kid's game, but still, the audience is still clearly 90's kids.

7. Kingdom Hearts

Image result for Kingdom Hearts

I vividly remember this game releasing on the Playstation 2, the game had some great graphics for the time and handle very well for a PS2 game. The only thing, I think, everyone disliked was how the game had such a boring and confusing story. I know there is a lot of people that enjoy as much as any other Final Fantasy fan, but justifying that the game had a complex story is like trying to say the Care Bears had a compelling Narrative. It was boring (like I said before) and confusing. Besides that, the gameplay was not satisfying, having some repetitive combat abilities and awful mechanics that were just frustrating to handle. I hear that the team improved on FF 15, but I genuinely dislike how repetitive it was. I never player FF 15 yet, but I hope it's better than Kingdom Hearts gameplay.

The designs for some of the Heartless were cool, some having some great look design that defined this game greatly. Other than that, the game's levels were not up to par with the Heartless. Alice in Wonderland being the worst, making it seem like it was in a room although most of the game having some great looking open worlds. The Gummie Ship being the worst part of the gameplay, having you do an extremely boring and repetitive ship battle where you basically go through the entire game without moving or shooting. And don't get me started on the Whale encounters. It's all random and requires to escape the whale instead of warp out. If you were planning on going to another level to progress, well here comes the Whale to stop you in your tracks. It was obvious the Whale encounters were suppose to make the game longer, but failed to make it fun.

6. Splatoon

Image result for Splatoon

I know that this is a risky pick, but I don't really like Splatoon that much. I played the game a while back before my Wii U broke and felt the game was boring. There were many game modes to play in multiplayer that might be fun, but they all feel the same to me. You just spray paint at each other and you win most of the time. It is a unique way to play the game, but it feels all the same and can get boring after a while. I really love the artstyle it has and I love the concept of just having squids walking around, but the game just doesn't feel as unique as many people describe it. Know that I don't have a hatred for the game nor do I plan on it, I would actually recommend this game to parents, but it's just not the game for me.

I did play the campaign, but it was mostly the same as many FPS shooters: a multiplayer match with bots. Although I love the bosses look, but I wish the game was a bit more complex with its campaign gameplay. I hear they really expanded upon the gameplay in the second rendition of the game, so I hope to get the game soon.

5. Undertale

Image result for Undertale

Don't get me wrong, the game is pretty fun, but with all the attention it's getting is strange to me. You talk to monster to not kill you and you try to be friends with all the monsters in the underworld, that's it. Somehow the game has gotten so much attention that it spawned a new fetish: Skeleton ***. The characters are decent and the gameplay is fun for the first playthrough, but that's all that can be defining about that game. You can say that's can define a generation, but any future generation will question why this was so famous.

The one thing I dislike was the challenges that spawned afterwards, having people protest against killing something in a game. One person livestreamed Fallout 4's entire storyline without killing. It's just mostly him watching people kill things for him or him running away. And somehow that livestream has millions of views. Many have done the same with other games and have made people question their lives on video games for no reason. I know that it can be done, you can play Dishonored without killing a single soul, but that doesn't mean it should be done.

4. Ocarina of Time

Image result for Ocarina of Time

For those of you Zelda Fans who loved this game, I am sorry for putting this on the list. I know I bring the fandom to great shame for doing so, but know that their are other great Zelda Games like Twilight Princess or A Link to the Past. I could have put the infamous Skyward Swords on here, but that game is too much weight for this list. Ocarina of Time can be described as "A Generation Defining Title" or "The Best Zelda in Zelda History," but the game is considerably dated for it's time. It was apart of the period of the game's transition to the 3D Realm, so the camera controls are strange for new player or modern experienced players. I did play this game when I was a kid, having only the 64 and the Genesis after doing a hard move, and I loved it. When I got back to it with my Uncle's 64, I asked if I could play something else.

I know it's a poor excuse to blame the camera controls and the area transition, but god I hated it. You were so slow to begin with and the camera made it hard to fight something even with Z Targeting to help. I mean, Golden Eye has better camera than this game and it came out before Ocarina. It did change the Zelda Franchise, but calling a masterpiece wouldn't be a correct statement.

3.  Resident Evil 7

Image result for RE 7

I would have to say the game has brought the RE Franchise back to it's feet. What I won't say that it deserves a full 10/10. At least an 8/10. The game is apart of the Resident Evil games, but seem to throw everything from those games out the window and turn it into a strange psychological horror. Yes, there's the immortal bosses that don't seem to die... ever, but the game seems to tread on the mind f**king side of horror. The game surprisingly holds the original game's mechanics, but transitions the game into first person. I like that and gives a lot worry for the player of something attacking from behind. I will give some props for that. The one thing I seem to dislike was how the game lowered the enemy diversity. The previous games had many enemies to fear, but this game only had only four to fear. The Molded were nice to play with, but I would like to see more to the game than just them. Seeing them didn't scare the player, but annoyed the player most of the time.

I hear the multiple ending are what people loved, but I seem to feel unsatisfied about them most of the time, making each choice you made feel so meaningless and unaccomplished. I think the only one I felt was rewarding was the Chris Redfield ending. I hate how he looks, but it was the only one I felt happy with.

2. Uncharted

Image result for Uncharted

The game follows the loveable protagonist, Nathan Drake that had everyone follow his story. It was like an action movie in a video game, it carried some great elements that capture the player to love each character and each scene of the game's cinematics. If you ask me, the game has some great story and some powerful moments in it, but the gameplay is not too great. You mostly start running after a cinematic scene and that's basically it. If not, it's QTEs to take over. I will say that the QTEs in this game are done right, not being repetitive or asking you to do the simplest of tasks, but the rest of the game is just boring. You just saw this awesome scene and now you have to climb a wall for the next 15 minutes of gameplay. If you came to play an action game with lots of firefights, this is not the game, you would have to come to this game for the narrative.

I know that most people can say that The Last of Us is the same game, but with Zombies, but Naughty Dog managed to throw away the Uncharted Mindset and actually put in some interesting gameplay. Compared to Uncharted, The Last of Us has a compelling story that even your mom will love to watch. I would have to say my mom loves watching me play this game. Uncharted has the same feeling with it's cutscenes, but not with the gameplay, having the player work for the fun part of the game. Yes, the game is visually stunning, but the gameplay doesn't seem to match the game quality.

1. Horizon Zero Dawn

Image result for horizon zero dawn

And for the top Overrated game in my mind goes to Horizon. When I heard this game was coming out, I was actually excited. It looked like Witcher 3 with robots. I wanted to see that game on my PS4 as soon as it came out. When I got the game, I had something else in my hands. The game is an open world game, but barely seems to give you a world to enjoy. Yes, there is lots of space to roam and kill robot animals, but it doesn't feel alive like most open world games. Skyrim had civilians roaming the trails, bears hunting and even royals traveling through Skyrim. It had something to say that the people in this game had a purpose, but in this game, you hardly see anything like that. There are some people in the game cornered by Watchers or Sabertooth robots, but they don't do much, but ask for help. You get a reward, they go away and despawn. That's as much of a livid world you'll get out of this game.

If want to talk about the gameplay, it is mostly hunting. You can roam the land and fight some robots or encounter a raider base, but the only fun thing to fight is the humans in the game. When I played the game for the first time and killed my first watcher, I thought they were going to have every robot have an instant kill weakpoint. I know that can make the game too easy, but I would love to see each enemy have an armored weakspot that you had to break open or a small hit box that you had to hit in the right spot to kill it. I would have loved that, making each fight fun and exciting, but the game gave you only weakspots that can bring down the enemy's health faster. They made each enemy hard to kill and each weakspot feel so unrewarding. And the weapons were the worst part, only giving the player a specific ammo type with each increase of quality. I wish they gave you each ammo type with each weapon you got, or at least had the player unlock it with story progression. It would have made the awful story better. Speaking of the story, it gives you two plots to understand: knowing your parents/identity and stopping this virus to make the robots so rampant. It makes you do both plot points at the same time that it confuses you on which is the main plot. Which is it? And why is Aloy so bored to even have feelings about either plot?

Anyways, this is the list. I hope you enjoyed it and that at least one of your favorite games got on this list. I know that some of you might want to say that I'm wrong about my opinion, so please don't try, I stand by my opinion and won't change it. I might make one about underrated game soon, but who knows, that might be scrapped. Again, I hope you enjoyed and 'til next time...

10 Underrated Games

I am a poor kid, I lived with a family that spent as little as possibly on Christmas and Birthdays just so we can live in a house for rent. So, most of the time I went through the Bargain Bin with my dad to see what game we could fish out. They were under five bucks, so we could afford it without regretting another week without food or electricity. I have played some bad games and sometimes some forgettable decent ones, but there was always a lucky chance that we found a game that we could call better than the rest. Hello and welcome to this underrated countdown.

10. Titanfall 2

Image result for Titanfall 2

I found this game for sale in the Xbox Store, the game was up to 20 dollars in the standard edition as the Ultimate Edition was only 60 dollars I believe. I bought it thinking that I might have found another multiplayer shooter with a crappy campaign. Oh, I was wrong. The game had a great story with great characters that felt so relatable for lack of better words. The multiplayer was stunning to me, having so much to it and an easy to learn play style that can be difficult sometimes. I love this game so much that I sank more than hundreds of hours on this game than Battlefield 1 that came with it.

What is strange and suspicious is how the Executives of the game, EA put the game in the middle of two major games followed by very little advertising. It's a tactic on the developers that producers and executives don't care about. If they don't see that it's going to do well, but they can't say no, they put the game in the middle of famous and beloved franchises or products. It's something that a lot of toy developers do in the business and a lot of people have catched the method. That made the game nearly forgotten and made it a box office bomb. It sucks to know that happen, but seeing that the community is constantly growing and the game is given so much free content, all that can be ignored and become little factoids for fans, even if the awful sales prevented a sequel to ever happen...

9. G-Force the Game

Image result for G-Force game

When I was a kid, I hated this movie. It made me feel awkward and strange watching these CG Guinea Pigs do spy work. It was a stupid concept and wasn't fun to watch even if it had a famous cast playing in it. When my dad got me the game of this awful movie, I was worried I might find another strange and awkward moment to never forget, but the game was better than I thought it would be. It was actually a fun game with great mechanics and items. It gave you puzzles that were easy to solve, but were fun doing so. You had all these gadgets to destroy walking coffee machines and toasters, each one being different than the last. You had to find a weakness to each robot and there was a fun to executing techniques to kill each robotic appliance. It was fun and the enemy variety was amazing to me. It got everything that movie did wrong and made it cool and fun.

I know this is a strange pick for this list, but it's a genuinely great game that I could not believe was going in my top favorites. The game was a massive flop because it followed the movie, but had decent reviews, having some that go above the 7 mark. If you have a 360 in your house, you should get this game. It's like five bucks on eBay and I think you can get it in some Game Stops or Best Buys for the two dollar price range, if they have it.

8. X-Men Origins: Wolverine

Image result for x-men origins wolverine game

I know this is another movie game that shouldn't be on this list, but god, this is one of those great gems you wouldn't expect. If you are in love with or just enjoy Hack 'n Slash games with awesome gore, this is the game you would love. It follows the story of Wolverine in a great and charming game fashion that my mother loves. In my opinion, the movie was real bad and is one of the worst superhero movies I've seen, but this game cleans everything up about the movie and turns it into a masterpiece. All the abilities and combos mesh so well and each piece of graphical design is surprisingly beautiful. Even for it's time with it's slick look, it still looks good.

The worst part about this game was that it was easy to pirate it, giving the game awful looking sales numbers. I would have to be guilty that I was one of those people who pirated it, it was a glorious piece of art and I wish I payed for the full price in the market. If you want this game, I really suggest to get it on the 360, since the graphics on the Playstation made it look a bit downgraded. It's a bit pricy, being over $40 on eBay and Amazon, but it's worth the price.

7.  Bioshock 2

Related image

This is a bit of a questionable entry in this list since the game was already known to the public and made it to the remaster, but if you look into the past, the game was considered a disgrace to the game's source material. I don't know why, they considerably made the game better, solving the Plasmid/Weapon switch to an easy duel-wield and made the Plasmid Upgrades do more than just upgrade damage. The enemy diversity was raised to a good three extra enemies, the Brute Splicers, Big Daddy Prototypes and the beloved Big Sister. The enemy redesigns had a better changes than many sequel redesigns. There was even a wider range of characters to see what the world is like in Rapture and how it affected these people. And what I love is that the Player Voice is the same as the original, but with a Big Daddy filter on it. I love it more than the original in terms of game design, but I can say that the narrative is lacking. I hated the 6 endings, but the game was fun.

The one thing that put players off was how they added the unneeded Multiplayer option. The multiplayer was somewhat fun, having some unique gameplay that were actually fun to play with, but the fans hated it and reviewers said that this almost destroyed the game's image. I don't see why, but I thought it was mildly fun. They had awful reviews and the only thing that saved the developers was the toy sales. I love those things. Only if I got my hands on them when they were being sold, they're over my price range now, if you ask me. It did make them remove the multiplayer it from the game entirely in the remaster which is understandable.

6. Destiny

Image result for Destiny

Destiny was... A game... With a Promise. Who hasn't talked about this? It's probably the Zelda of a bad game, everyone knows about it. If you remember No Man's Sky,  that game had a lot of promise and so much to deliver. When we got what we weren't promised, we all hated it. This game did the same, but it was a promise for a good and interesting story with great gameplay. We all loved it for a few minutes and then noticed, the story was not there, the gameplay was a boring grinding and what little gameplay we had was so shorlived. Of course, the developers saved the game with DLC, but no one liked that cheeky attempt of a save. You had to pay $15 dollars for one DLC and it was considered an overprice, but worth it since the game gets much better from those four DLCs. They expanded the game greatly and made it much more fun to play with friends or new friends as you play along the way.

The game had some great design, looking so unique to most other games, and the way this game was; the lore, the weapons, the enemies and the lingering questions you ask yourself as you play made the game such a great experience. Of course, the vanilla game is awful as all hell, but the DLCs added make the game fun. I know that I'm one of the many that defend the game for what it was and most of you are probably saying you don't have the money to pay for every DLC. You can buy this game with every single piece of content this game had to offer for $40. Heading a bit towards the pricy side, but still good for how much you are saving considering each DLC is 15 dollars, but who's going to do that when the sequel is almost out?

5. Let It Die

Image result for Let it Die

Imagine if Dark Souls had a threesome with Destiny and a Punk Group, you would probably get this game. I love the concept of this game a lot, having the player go through a tower of unknown wonders and death that it feels like hunger games. The look of the world is wonderful and the retro feel to it contrasts so well with the punky vibe. Besides all that, the game has great enemies who are easy to kill, but a challenge to fight. And you can see other player's zombie bodies wandering around the map waiting for the next person to kill. I adore that concept, it's almost ingenious, I'm surprised Dark Souls hasn't done that! And the Death System is so incredible, if you die, you lose everything: your items, clothing, your experience, everything that character had is gone. And to achieve it is awesome, you have to wander back into that area and kill that version of yourself to gain back anything. I love it, but I can see this being a game breaker since you would have to level up your new character to get back to a far area, which increases in difficulty every level you traverse in. That actually is one of the reasons why it got such a low rating, getting below a 7.

I love the characters in it and the player encounters are much better than most of encounters in Dark Souls, not being a heart wrenching event, but more of an accepted challenge. If you ever want to play this game, it's Free in the PSN Store and has a great community and cast of characters, with Mark Hamill playing the Prologue Narrator... He could have been so much more...

4. Halo Reach

Image result for Halo Reach

Reach is one of the game I grew up with and most games I played then, I hate now. Bubsy being in the list. But Reach was one of those game that I can cry to. Show me the end of The Last of Us? I won't shed a tear. Give me the death of Dom, I will comment about how much that sucks, but no crying. Show me Reach? I'll f**king cry... Each and every bit of the campaign was amazing and heart wrenching, the gameplay had no changes, but with a few weapon redesigns. We were given ability packs and new weapons to play with. I genuinely love this game and every piece of it. The Multiplayer is so desirable and the Firefight mode was enhanced to be better than it was. Shorter, but a lot more fun.

What is strange is that the game was forgotten because of the 343 Controversy. The game had some incredible ratings almost having a straight 10 rating streak, the game was overshadowed for how awful and big Halo 4 was. I have heard some hardcore fans say that this game and the ODST spin-off tainted the games, but I would disagree. The game has a  legendary story to it and a perfect multiplayer with little that was changed. If you can get your hands on this game, it's about $15 on Ebay and $20 in the Xbox Store.

3. Dishonored

Image result for Dishonored

Dishonored is a game that was advertised for how bloody the game was and how many kills you can do in it ti one person. Of course, the game was hated for not saying more than that. A lot of people hated the multiple endings, most players on the first playthrough getting the bad one, showing them how much of a d**che they were in the game. The game was harder when you played the pacifist route and barely rewarded you for it. I'd say that the developers did a good job with the game, giving the simplest ability so much range for the player to do as the please, letting them crawl on the roofs of the Dunwall City or pawling the alleyways. The game had such simple mechanics and gave the player so much to do with them in the game's map. Each part of the game's maps were well designed for each ability, giving so much free roam to everyone. You want to sneak through the well guarded embassy? You could use your Possession on a fish that's in a pond and swim in a pipe that leads directly into the building. Or you can use your Blink ability to carefully jump on hard to reach platforms that lead you into the building, having an eagle eye view of everyone in there.

The game is great and has such a clever design to it. The artstyle is amazingly stunning and stand against the test of time. I see this game in the clearance bin a lot in Walmarts and Best Buys, so if you see this game in there, buy it. It's worth every cheap penny you spent.

2. Brutal Legends

Image result for Brutal Legends

Jack Black was an awesome musician that inspired many to sing like him. He had a great show that started his band, Tenacious D, and had a decent movie about the band and how they became what they were. When everyone heard he was going to get a game that he was going to make, everyone freaked. It was the pinnacle of his fame, so almost everyone was excited to see what kind of game he was going to deliver. It even had some Rock 'n Roll legends such as Ozzy Osbourne and Lemmy Kilmister playing their own character in the game. What everyone got was a fun mess that very few liked. The game was fun and had lots of great reviews, but the people didn't like how it was a tower defense game. Not the typical send troops and hope for the best, it was a MOBA like game that had you fight alongside your fellow warriors. Each troop type had a strategy to them, Headbangers were the cannon fodder, but packed a big punch when they horde against anyone. The Razor Gals were the ranged attacks that did massive damage to incoming hordes, but were weak against attacks. The game had some fun gameplay and it was satisfying to play. The multiplayer function was even a great staple of the game, taking some aspects from the Tower Defense part of the game and making it a fun and greatly competitive part of the game.

And the game's design, the Rock 'n Roll Album feel to the game's environment was so cool to stare at. I was so happy that the game was open world, just so you can enjoy the detail the game had. It might be dated today and look too edgy to most people, but it's so unique and so iconic to this game. Even the concept of each Rock Genre is basically fighting each other: Rock fighting Grunge fighting Goth. I love that a lot and the Gothic Grunts were clearly inspired by the Cure. If you like that kind of concept and would love to play a game about it, Brutal Legends is the perfect match right next to edgy skate board games.

I believe this game got me to love the Horror Genre in games. I always thought Horror games were cheesy and dumb, only giving you mild scares, but this game makes you rethink that. The AI chases you by hiding behind corners and pillars, making the player paranoid about losing an enemy or crossing a doorway. The genuine fear you feel in this game is amazing and it really makes you fear abandoned houses and the dark, because that's all the setting is. Every other game I play that tries it's hardest to scare me did so poorly, but this game forced you by shoving crazy hobos at you, sewer monster that can crawl on walls like the god damn Grudge were a constant threat and the sound design was perfect, making random noises in the distance, keeping the player on the edge of the seat, always. This game beats RE7 out of the water by a longshot and has the perfect kind of tank controls to worry the player more.

The game mostly flopped because of the themes it carried and having some elements from Manhunt, so most of the advertising was restricted to gaming magazine ads, making the game mostly unknown to the public eye unless you had a Game Informer subscription. Trust me, if you like horror at its finest, play this game.

Well, that's my list. I know my last one was a bit controversial (especially for my 200th post), but I hope this makes up for it. I hope you agree with most of this and that you never heard of at least one of these games. I hope you enjoyed this and 'til next time...
